INT. - SILVER CITY COLLEGE - MORNING
Kinsey was just getting up from her desk when the door to her office opened and Simone let herself in. For a moment, the blonde anthropologist simply stared at the woman, her heart skipping. It didn't help she'd been on her way out, to the Dean's office to ask to be removed from Simone's employ. Kinsey had only just decided with firm determination it was the best-and only-course of action.
And here was Simone. Seeing her should have triggered Kinsey's anger or frustration with the whole mess. Instead, she felt herself soften under the woman's black-eyed gaze, her ruby smile.
"I'm sorry to intrude," she said, "and I hope I caught you at a good time? We need to talk."
