How We Met
NIKOLAY
"Just give me a moment, hun. I'll be right back," Nia stated as she patted Nikolay's arm after leading him to the living room and he nodded, glancing at his surroundings. She left the living room and Nikolay began to walk around in it, running his hands over different objects.
He stepped into the foyer after a couple of minutes and his eyes went from one framed picture to another on marble topped consoles till they stopped at one. It was a picture of a Nia and a girl who looked so much like her and he picked it up just as the sound of a door being slammed shut filled the house.
"Mum!" a voice called out from upstairs and he dropped the picture back on the marble topped console when he heard footsteps quickly heading towards the stairs. The owner of the voice soon appeared at the top of the stairs, wearing a bralette and denim shorts, and he saw that it was the girl in the picture he had been holding earlier.
