Nikolay removed his hand from Imani's shoulders and pulled the phone a couple of inches away from his ear. "Why don't you go on ahead Amor? I'll join you in a couple of minutes," he muttered and she nodded before made her way to the door.

She glanced at him over her shoulder and he gave her a sweet smile, still holding the phone away from his ear. She smiled back at him before she opened the door and stepped out of the library just to see Lucas angrily stalking down the hallway and her eyes widened as she quickly shut the door. He was angry, angrier than he had been when he left the house to go get some air.

She leaned against the door, in case he wanted to go in to start a fight, and clutched the grimoire to her chest as he came to a stop in front of her. He could hear Nikolay talking on the phone with someone inside the room and he didn't like that he just saw her leaving it.

"Lucas –"
