Chapter 8:- Goddess Blessing; training

Just when William poured a single drop of his blood on the red diamond-shaped object in front of the Succubus Goddess's altar, he received two messages.

[Ding! You have received the Blessing of Succubus Goddess.]

[Ding! You have received the blessing of Elven Goddess.]

"William, did you receive the blessing of Succubus Goddess?"

"I did but it came with something extra."

Laura observed William's dazed face for a second before asking. "What extra?"

"I also got the blessing of the Elven Goddess."

"Seriously?"

"Why do you look so shocked?"

"Because the Elven Goddess and the Succubus Goddess both are rivals. The history books say that both Goddesses do not likes each other."

"Then why would the Elven Goddess decide to bless me?"

"I don't know. Maybe she has taken a liking to you." William noticed the sudden change in her voice. How can he not understand that she was jealous? He helplessly smiled and decided not to speak of that matter.

"Let's leave. Our work here is done."

As William and Laura turned around and were about to leave, William suddenly heard a voice in his ears.

[Boy, you should go to the Azuburg Empire and find my Saint. I am sure both of you will like each other.]

"Why did you stop?"

"No..nothing" William was sure that he had heard that voice which sounded like a melody to his ears.

'This boy has an interesting Aura. I am sure the man would love to pass his legacy to this young boy.' The elven Goddess then disappeared from the top of the tree as if she never existed in the first place.

While walking out of the cave, William checked the two messages he just received.

[Blessing 2]: - 100% resistance mind controlling spells. The resistance percentage will decrease against high-level enemies. Higher the level of the enemy, the lower the resistance percentage.

[Blessing 3]: - increases the power of the user by [10%] when the user is fighting in the Sithen Empire's territory.]

[Blessing of Elven Goddess]: - The elven Goddess has blessed you as the husband of the Saint. You have gained the following blessings.

[Blessing 1]: - Increases healing speed by [15%].

[Blessing 2]: - Increases the chances of hitting a target when using an arrow by [50%].

[Blessing 3]: - increases the power of the user by [10%] when the user is fighting in the Azuburg Empire's territory.]

'Husband of Saint? Which Saint are we talking about here?' Knowing that the Goddess had asked him to head to Azuburg Empire, he figure that the Saint should be living in that Empire. William decided to deal with this matter later. For now, he was happy that his resistance to mind-controlling spells has increased.

"Now it's time to start your training." On the beach, William and Laura stood opposite facing each other.

"For now, I am going to show you one of my attacks. Try to copy it." The queen took out a silver sword from her storage ring that she wore on her middle finger.

Wise Blizzard Slash!

Releasing the warm air from her lungs, she started condensing mana on her silver sword causing the sword to glow brightly. The queen then vertically swung the sword releasing a white sword ray that instantly destroyed the tree before them into small pieces.

Bang!

William carefully observed the whole process. Just like he expected, he heard the system's message.

[Ding! Does the host wishes to learn the passive skill?]

"This is one of the basic skills of a swordsman. It took me almost a week time to learn this skill and here you can learn it just by observing."

"In case you're not aware, I only used a small percentage of my powers. If I had used my whole powers in that attack, I easily could have annihilated the entire island." Laura had leveled up her every passive skill above level 6. Each of her passive skills was strong as gold-tier skills or some of her skills can even compare with legend-tier skills.

"Did you learn it?" William silently nodded his head.

Seeing William's look, Laura chuckled. "Here, try using the skill. At level one, the skill should only consume about [25+]." Taking the silver sword from Laura, William took a deep breath to calm his mind.

When he learned the skill, he gained knowledge on how he should use this skill. He was currently lacking the experience which cannot be obtained without practice.

Wise Blizzard Slash!

The silver sword once again started glowing in brightly. But the bright color was not strong as when Laura was using the passive skill. When William opened his eyes, the movements that Laura made flashed before his eyes.

William didn't dare blink his eyes. He kept his eyes on the 1-meter long Crimson ray of sword light that hit the 2 meters thick tree trunk which was 20 meters away from them.

"Not bad for your first time." There was a deep long 3 meters long cut on the trunk of the tree. Unfortunately, the sword ray wasn't strong enough to cut the tree trunk in half. Compared to Laura's attack, William's attack was way weaker and his movement was unrefined and stiff.

"I thought my attack would cut through the tree trunk. I guess I was wrong." William sighed in disappointment.

"You did better than most people. Just learning the skill is not enough. One needs to practice their skills. I practiced this same skill for one month before I was allowed to learn another skill."

"Does that mean, I also have to train for one month?"

Instead of replying to William, she started with what he was lacking. "First of all, your attack lacked several important things. Your movement was stiff. There was some hesitation in your eyes that was holding you back."

William listened to Laura as both of them walked back to the tunnel through which they came here. "Last and most important thing, your mana control absolutely sucks. Without properly controlling mana, even if you were to learn 100 skills, you can never execute them at their full strength."

After entering the tunnel, Laura stopped walking and looked at William's face. "Before anything, your first phase of the training will be to master in controlling your mana."

Soon William and Laura returned to the palace. After returning, Laura asked William to get to the garden and wait for her there.

The Garden was only allowed to the royalty. Even servants or butlers who worked in the royal palace weren't allowed to enter the garden. Sitting on the sit under the tree, William waited for the queen to return.

[Description]: - A basic sword attack used by frost swordsmen.

[Function]: - At level 1, the user can release a ray of sword light that can land [100+] damage to the opponent. The attack consumes [25+] mana per slash.]

"I am 90% sure that I can copy Laura's legend tier Star-Blaze skill, the White flame. I wonder if she will even allow me to copy her Star-Blaze ability." One of the reasons why William originally choose the Perfect copy skill was because the skill had no restrictions on copying Star-Blaze skills.

Star-Blaze skill was unique and different for every individual. Of course, in some extremely rare cases, it is possible for twins or some people to have the same Star-Blaze skill.

"William" Opening his eyes, he found the queen standing in front of him with a cold smile on her face. For some reason, William was starting to have a bad feeling seeing her cold smile.

"Put these on." Laura took out a pair of white pants and a white long-sleeved T-shirt.

"Alright but..."

"Don't worry, I won't look. You can change behind that tree." Seeing Laura looking the other way, William picked up the clothes that she bought for him and went behind the 3 meters-thick tree trunk.

After changing, he put his old clothes in his storage ring. "Come here." After walking up to her, she silently chanted some form of a spell.

William immediately fell to his knees. He felt as if his entire body has been suppressed. He could no longer freely use his mana. "What did you do?" There was some anger in William's voice. He did not appreciate the feeling of being messed up by others.

"These clothes you're wearing have two uses. One it can suppress mana and second, it can increase the weight."

After a small pause, the cold expression on Laura's face softened a bit. "If you want to become strong, you will first need to build a strong body while also having complete control over your mana. You will wear these clothes until you learn to control your mana."

"What? But I can't learn to control mana in just one day. Do you want me to wear these clothes for months or what?"

"Yes. Every day you can remove these clothes only for 2 hours. If you exceed that time limit, even I don't know the consequences." William nervously gulped. The thought of breaking that time limit was immediately removed from his head.

"You also don't have to wash the clothes. At the end of each day, with a little bit of mana, the clothes will be automatically cleaned."

"What kind of magical clothes are these?"

"The type of cloth that is considered a gold grade treasure." What Laura did not tell William was that besides suppressing mana and increasing the weight, these clothes act as armor and defend William from any level 100 beings.

"Alright let's start training. Let's start with 100 push-ups. With each push-up, the weight of these clothes will keep increasing by 2%." Reluctantly William started doing push-ups in front of the queen. William was not that affected by the current weight of his body. In the past, he had done some training in his room so his body was strong enough to handle the little increase in his weight.

'Dammit, I underestimated these clothes.' After doing 21 push-ups the weight of these clothes has increased by 42%. Before these clothes weighed about 25 KG. Now, this weight has been increased to 30.5.

"Don't stop" Laura smiled as she watched William's suffering while sitting under the shade of the tree.

'Dammit! At this rate, I will fall even before doing 50 pushups. How am I supposed to do 100 pushups?' After doing 50 pushups, the weight of these clothes will be increased by 100% which was a lot for the current William to handle.

William turned to his right to find Laura holding a whip. The black whip was 2 meters long and had blue lightning flickering all over it.

Gulp!

"Don't tell me?"

"Yes, this is a lightning whip used to punish prisoners. If you stop for more than 2 seconds, this whip is going to kiss your back."

"I am sorry but I don't want to be kissed by a lightning whip. Can you change the weapon?"

Laura coldly smiled as he held the whip. "Don't worry William, the whip won't hurt you but the lightning will surely tickle your body."

"Tickle my ass. It's more like being shocked to death."

Cough! "I mean 42!"

'Dammit, why a harem protagonist like me has to train this hard?'
