Aaron Glaydus
After meditating briefly, Aaron got ready to fight again only to realize his sister was already doing his job.
"She took my damn prey."
He spoke loud.
He realized that his sister was in trouble as she was getting thrashed by the crier.
He saw the crier lunge at Annie with incredible speed, its clawed hands slashing through the air. Annie parried the first attack with one of her swords, the impact sending a shockwave through her arms. She countered with a swift, precise strike, aiming for the creature's heart. But the crier twisted away, evading her attack with uncanny agility.
Seeing this unfold, Aaron took his AR out and aimed at the crier. But he was too far away for the gun to do any damage.
'Shit, what do I do now?'
He thought to himself as he went into a dilemma about whether he had to shoot or not. The crier held Annie by her arms as it got ready to shoot her with its Nexstar.
"Oh no!! Shit."
Aaron exclaimed out loud as he started to hyperventilate. But he thought of something as he saw Annie jump backward.
He looked at his gun and thought about changing it to two desert eagles but that wouldn't help because he knew he wasn't that good at close range 1 on 1 combat. He was a one-man army as he could fight against multiple enemies although he could use shotguns but he had to get real close for that.
But then he remembered that snipers existed. He poured a lot of soul emanation into the gun as it glowed in purple light and turned into a bolt action sniper.
"Perfect!"
He waited for the right moment to take the shot.
The crier pounced on Annie and got ready to go for the kill.
He went for the shot. He pulled the trigger and then...
Booooom.....
A purple streak of light flew past the crier. Black fumes covered the crier's head. After the smoke cleared away, the head was missing. The body of the crier slowly dissipated into thin air.
"You ok?"
Aaron spoke with a sniper in his hand.
"Yeah, well my shoulder burns but other than that I'm ok."
Annie replied to Aaron as she was quite shocked at what he had done.
But since these guys had a lot of soul emanation, all of their wounds were healed except the major ones.
"Well done you guys."
Nova appeared behind them out of nowhere.
"When did you come here?"
"Well, I got ready to kill the crier but it seemed as if you finished the job."
Nova spoke as he walked towards them.

Rowan Carnegie
Rowan was looking at everything that was happening.
Ping-
Rowan got a notification ping on his phone.
==========
Eve: I need your help.
Rowan: With what?
Eve: I'll tell you the details later. Come to this address.
*Location*
===========
Rowan sighed as he put his phone back into his side pocket.
"I'll just tell Nova that I'm going back to college for now."
His vision blurred as he suddenly appeared in front of the three guys.
"Nova, I have to head back to college. So I'll see you next time I guess."
Rowan spoke to Nova as he looked down.
"Yeah, we'll meet after 2 months I guess."
Nova replied to Rowan as he looked a bit sad. But he had already gotten used to it.
"Not quite. I'll meet you regularly as you are a nexus guard now. Not just Nova but you guys too."
Rowan spoke as he smiled at everyone.
"Yeah."
Aaron replied to Rowan.
"Guys, don't forget to train every day. Mr. Otto is willing to help you guys."
"Yeah yeah, we know."
Nova replied to him.
"Oh right, Here you go."
Rowan handed a phone to each of them.
"What's this."
Annie asked Rowan as she looked at the phone she got.
"You guys will be alerted about any criers in the city. Only the three of you will protect the city from now. You guys will be the only nexus guards in the city."
"What do you mean?"
Nova asked Rowan.
"The rest of the guards have returned to Synthex."
"I see."
Aaron replied and nodded.
"Well, see ya."
Rowan exclaimed as he disappeared from the group. A frown appeared on Rowan's face.
"Now, since that's out of the way. It's time for what I've come here for."

Nova Carnegie
"Damn, He's gone. Just like that."
I spoke out loud as I looked at the ground.
"It's not like you won't meet him. He said it himself so don't worry."
Annie replied to me but I was totally fine with it.
"Wait, what did he mean by all of the nexus guards left to Synthex? Isn't Mr. Otto one of them?"
Annie asked Me with a confused expression.
"No, From what I heard. Mr. Otto left Synthex on his own. So I don't think he's going back."
I replied as I sighed.
"OK, I guess I'm going to head home now. I'll See you guys tomorrow.'
I spoke as I turned and started walking towards my home.
"Wait up, I'll come with you."
"Me too."
Both Aaron and Annie followed behind Me.
"Well, Mr. Otto invited us to train. We'll head there by 7 pm."
Annie spoke to me to which I just nodded. I Kind of felt uncomfortable.
"Damn, I'm too hyped about this Nexus guard shit. I am overfilled with energy right now."
I exclaimed loudly.
"There was no need to scream for that."
Aaron shut me up as he looked at the sky. He looked really tired since he used a lot of his energy during the fight.
"You guys can head home, I'll go and train for a bit."
I spoke with excitement and started running.
"Okay, Have fun."
Annie replied. Looks like both of them were tired.
"OK, see you guys."
I bid farewell and ran towards a park. Nobody seemed to be there as it was quite late.
**
I reached the park and then got ready. I poured my soul emanation into my body. Before I knew it, I was in my Hakama.
I took my sword out from my palm.
I got into a strike stance. Took my katana out from the scabbard and slashed at the air.
I wanted to strengthen my basics. So I slashed and stabbed the air 1000 times each.
**
After training for nearly 2 hours I returned home and took a bath. I ate a lot of food and slept. I was quite tired after training for so long. I was excited to train with Mr. Otto.
