Chapter 3: NO OTHER CHOICE
l decided to look at the window again, though I'm concerned of what I may see,
Would they find me out? Is there even anywhere to flee?
I gulped then parted the curtains, then opened my eyes slowly,
Behold! The world be damned! This year still seems to be our enemy.
Their eyes I noticed were lifeless,
And their skin were gray and frail,
Despite it I fear them nonetheless,
I tell you this isn't just a tale.
I checked my phone again, and prayed my very best,
Please Lord have mercy on me, tell me It's all just a test...
And in a pinch of luck my phone buzzed,
And I quickly checked it out without a fuzz!
No other choice but to fight, eh?
That's what the government says,
So we're on our own now,
But l wonder for how many days...
