Chapter 13: LET'S GO TO THAT HOUSE!

Afraid that some may follow,

We became careful at every step,

For one wrong move, could send us below,

Followed by a certain death.

Then they saw a hole, on the fifth roof we went to,

Hole big enough, for us to enter if we want food,

But to assure that it's danger free, one of us scanned it first, before we,

And when he didn't saw any suspicious activity,

He turned to us, then said, "Follow me,"

We came down with a rope,

Slowly descending, with burning hope,

That there's food and water, for us to cope,

Or else, we're expected only, to cry and mope.

I came down, then was told to search the rooms,

Get anything useful, food, water and clothes,

I nodded, then with the little courage left, opened the door,

Without knowing, what for me, it has in store.

I almost screamed, when I saw a body,

Dead and rotting, with no clothes! Nothing!

I covered my nose, then observed if it'd attack or anything,

But it seems harmless, well, back to my searching.

I checked the drawers, then found some snickers,

A few milk packs, and some old t-shirts,

I packed them all, inside my bag,

Oh, they're so many, I'm actually glad.

I checked the bedside, but saw nothing of value,

Then under the bed,

Oh good, this bat will do!

I grabbed it, and quickly got my head out,

But when I did, oh gosh I want to shout.
