Almost imperceptibly, everyone's posture got a little straighter. Alina put her cup down on the sink and smoothed down the stray hairs attempting to escape the two buns she had secured her tight curly white hair in.
"Are you sure there's a need for all that?"
Thiago's usually sunny expression was clouded over by consternation. "Is it a good idea? After the recent scare with," he cut his eyes towards Ivo quickly, "Her. You know what I mean."
Ivo knew what he meant too. He recalled the silted conversation Davi had when the two of them were riding the metro. The same day he found his way to 'O Bicho Come', Davi had left to check on someone.
Someone connected to the whole thing the four of them were part of. The same thing Davi had trusted Vice with but had been betrayed over.
Ivo drank the dregs of his bitter coffee in silence. He had learnt his lesson. He wasn't going to get involved. He wasn't going to ask questions.
