But at least now that I know how to at least use my cursed energy I opened my inventory which looked like a panel with a bunch of icons with text next to them that identify the items and their quantity.
I pulled the books out of my inventory and they appeared in my hands 3 black fancy looking books stacked on top of each other. Each of them had the names of their respective skills on the cover.
Curious I decided to open one of them to check the text but unfortunately the text inside was gibberish that I couldn't understand.
I put my hand on the cover of the book and I got a notification asking for confirmation on if I wanted to learn the skill or not. I chose yes obviously and repeated it for all of the books. When I choose yes the book vanished into notes of light and gets absorbed into me along with the knowledge.
Actually, if you can't read them and get the skill inside them by absorbing them. Why are they even books in the first place? Questions for later.

With those 3 now I could start the "Game" for real. I read the Gamer Manwha enough to know the gist of what I have to do with ID creation.
I have a week. By the end of those 7 days, I need to get stronger. I need to be strong enough to ensure my survival. I won't leave anything to chance. There is always the chance that I may be targeted either by a stray or a fallen.
I won't die again.

[Dungeon Tutorial]
Instant Dungeons have a variety of enemies inside of them depending on the type of dungeon they may also include unique hazards and elite enemies.
The mobs in the dungeon are capable of dropping loot upon defeat or death. They also have a small chance to drop skill books and tokens.
To advance to the next floor of the dungeon you must defeat the floor boss. Random treasures and encounters are scattered across all floors. Rarity and tier of drops and treasures increase as the floors do.
To exit the dungeon use the skill ID Escape.
Condition: Defeat the boss of the first floor: Zombie Brute.
Reward: 1000Exp, 10 Free Stat points, Slaughter Demon.

I appeared in the middle of a desolate street in what looked to be a decrepit western city. There were crashed cars and blood puddles littering the street.
In front of me was a hobbling zombie with rotting skin limping toward me.

Instead of approaching I waited until the zombie reached my range. And the moment it did I brought out the metal bat from my inventory and whacked him with full force. Its head made a cracking noise as it fell to its side and laid limp.
[Defeated 1x Zombie +20exp]
That... Went down easier than I thought. Thankfully I wasn't stupid and brought a metal bat with me. The perfect anti-zombie weapon. Why did I have a baseball bat in a Japanese house? Maybe my backstory had baseball involved.
Now that I wasn't in immediate danger I looked around. I was really curious how an entire street was a part of a dungeon so I tried one of the doors. And it did nothing. All right then, so all the irrelevant houses are background then.
Just as I turned around to continue down the street I saw another undead that had seemingly manifested out of thin air behind me go for a bite of my juicy shoulder.
Quickly I bashed it with my shoulder before hitting a home run on its neck. As it fell down I breathed heavily.
This was why I didn't want to choose warrior and picked magician instead. I would much prefer to blast my enemies with a fireball from a distance than get up close and risk getting murdered.
But instead of getting a badass spell-flinging magician, I got a spelless zero range magician who fits in the fighting category more.
Whatever, maybe I will unlock some spells sometime. Now I needed to kill just 3 more zombies to level up.
I continued walking around the street and came across 3 whole undead. Or I guess 2.8 since one of them is missing an arm.
Thanks to their bad agility I was able to abuse the range of my bat and used it to whack the head of any undead that came too close to me.
And after the 3 were thoroughly washed onto the ground and their heads were spilled onto the pavement I finally leveled up. Frankly, it was incredibly disgusting but if it meant I would get stronger I would lick those brains off the ground if I had to.

I felt energy fill me as my body got noticeably stronger and my Energy reserves got expanded. Oh boy, I sure love it when my class doesn't give me any spells but increases my energy reserves as the primary stat regardless.
Speaking of energy, I still haven't used it in a real fight yet. I have 3 days before I have to go to school and meet the sisters of two different satans. It's better if I get used to throwing hands beforehand.
I need to get as strong as possible as quick as possible.
I hurried my steps as I encountered 5 undead hobbling toward me. Before I focused on the energy inside me and started trying to infuse it to my bat but it didn't work. As I was about to try it again the zombies reached me. The one closest in front of me lunged at me trying to bite me. I kicked it back and cracked its jaw with my bat.
As I swung at another one the other got a hold of my arm and bit down, HARD.
[ -18HP ]
My eyes shot wide open as that bit took off nearly an entire fifth of my health bar. Kicking the zombie away I smacked it over the head before turning to the zombie next to me and delivering a homerun. Not letting up my momentum I charged at the zombie behind and pushed it down before stomping down on its neck. Before the last one could even think of lunging at me it met the rough end of my bat.
[ Defeated 5x Zombies +100exp +2x Undead Flesh ]
I sat down on one of the corpses in exhaustion, ignoring the blood staining my clothes as I looked at the items that had been deposited into my inventory. I looked at their description while being careful to not accidentally drag it out of my inventory.
[Undead Flesh: Flesh of a reanimated human, contains traces of necrotic energy. Can be used as an alchemical ingredient or as material for rituals.]
Well, at least it was useful. I certainly would drop the piece of flesh on the ground if it was useless. After a minute or so my health was nearly topped off so I continued advancing.
I was worried why my cursed energy wasnt really activating when I wanted it to, maybe it seems that I don't have such a good grasp of my cursed energy after all. I could feel and move it but maintaining it and making it keep a proper flow just wasnt happening.
Whatever, I just needed to be more careful. So what if I was given a class that was basically useless to me at the moment? I can make it work. I always did.
...
An entire hour later I was lying on the ground panting to hell and back.
I managed to reach level 5, grinding here with these stats wasnt easy. If only I had a SPELL from my SORCERER class to clear mobs more quickly. I was halfway through level 6 which required 300 exp to complete. And the zombies gave fuck all for exp. At least now with my slightly better stats I could kill them much easier.
OH WAIT. I DO have a spell thanks to a skill book drop from one of the zombies. It also seemed really great, something I imagine an actual sorcerer would use. There was just one eeny meeny tiny problem.
I CANT FUCKING LEARN THE DAMM THING.

That's right, I'm a sorcerer whose only spell is one he can't even learn. I am sick and tired of this sorcerer bullshit. I can't even control my own Cursed Energy. I can't cast for shit. And I get fuckall for my current stats.
Honestly, considering my current streak of luck I am surprised that the floor boss hasn't come all the way he to stomp my cock and balls into fine red paste.
*STOMP!* *STOMP!*
Just cut me fuckin break...
I jumped up from my position as I held my ruined bat in my hand. In front of my eyes was a hulking beast of a zombie nearly twice my size and muscles big enough to wrestle a bear.

A hulking musclebound zombie brute with less than stellar agility and an even less intelligence.
________________________________________________
Yeah... I am not taking that on while I am THIS tired. Silently I used ID Escape.
[ID Escape has failed: Cannot escape during a boss battle.]
Fuck.
Me.
Actually, those words may as well be a self-fulfilling prophecy with the 200 kilos of muscle running toward me.
As the brute reached me, he threw a heavy straight. Crouching I ducked under the meaty fist and swung my bat toward its side. But as the bat hit its side it felt like I hit a goddam brick wall and it felt like I took more damage from the recoil. I stepped back as I evaded a stomp from the brute. Reaching into my inventory I grabbed one of the iron knives that had dropped and tried stabbing the brute. Yet the knife did not even budge an inch into its armor-like muscles.
*WHOOSH!*
Leaning to the side I avoided a predictable hook as I stabbed it in the armpit. Contrary to how I thought, the adrenalin in my body cleaned out my mind. I couldn't panic here. With that last stab, I had dealt 20 hp of damage. With persistence, I could wear him down.
I jumped back with my superior agility as it slammed both arms onto the floor in rage. He is very strong against physical attacks. MAN IF ONLY MY MAGICIAN CLASS GAVE SPELLS. The zombie moved toward me I could see its fists bleeding from hitting the pavement.
Suddenly, the brute charged me shoulder first. Moving like a train toward me but unfortunately for it, it did not possess the speed of one so I sidestepped it and hit the back of its knee with my baseball bat in my right.
It got one knee from the hit, reversing the grip of the knife in my left hand I plunged it as hard as I could into its shoulder. Drawing out a pained groan before it got up and I ran back to create distance. I had already downed its HP to 390. I tried throwing rocks at it but they just bounced off of his head only dealing 3 damage.
I could do this. I was faster and more dextrous than it. It may double my strength but I double its agility. All I had to do was to play peek-a-boo by dodging and retaliating in the giant openings it leaves.
But as I was about to stab its throat after it charged at me with its fist raised, it suddenly tanked my stab to the throat and instead of punching me, opened its hand and hugged my waist.
Held by the embrace of the Brute, I suddenly felt immense pressure crack my ribcage, sending jolts of pain throughout my body. I saw my health drop rapidly in my rearview. And suddenly the brute threw me toward the hard pavement.
Just before my body was about to hit the pavement I heard just one thought overshadow all others.
'Ah, I'm going to die.'
I was going to die. Again.
I would be sent back to that hell, again.
I was about to lose my second chance.
'I WON'T DIE AGAIN!'
Sadness, fear, anger, indignation, rage, and desperation all bubbled up within my body. Before bursting like a balloon.
*BAM!*
Just before I hit the ground my entire body was cloaked by ethereal black and blue flames. Protecting my body. Getting up from the cracked pavement I wiped the blood from my mouth as I glared down the brute.
Feeling the immense power rushing through me like a million volts I leaned forward and sprinted toward the brute with inhuman speed. before it could raise its arms to intercept me with its meager agility my Cursed Energy-cloaked fist slammed into its stomach.
*BOOM!*
My fist dug deep into its stomach as the blow nearly lifted the brute off its feet. As it skid backward I pursued it and hit its jaw with a devastating left hook that ripped its jaw off. Right after I twisted my whole body as I threw the hardest straight I ever threw into the brute's chest. Completely shattering its ribcage as my fist dug in nearly up to my elbow.

I felt a rush of strength fill me as I leveled up 4 times in a row. But I was still looking at my hands. Or specifically what they had just accomplished and the power that ran through them. But now that I had killed the boss and felt like the entire world had stomped on my shit I immediately used ID exit and landed back in my apartment.
Right on my clean white carpet.
With my dirty bloodstained shoes.
Fuck it, I couldn't care less right now. Feeling the strength in my legs vanish, I unceremoniously collapsed onto the soft carpeted floor. This was the most exhausted I had ever been in my life.
[Status Effect: Exhausted]
-Health and Cursed Energy recover 75% percent slower.
Honestly, right now, I wanted nothing more than to crawl over to my bed and sleep for a year or so but I had something I needed to do first. I looked at my status screen and assigned my stats immediately.
All 10 straight to luck.
My heart won't be able to take it if the game keeps pulling shit like that. Besides luck is one of the 2 stats that my class doesn't increase. After feeling ever so slightly more confident in my luck I pushed myself off the ground and regretfully climbed up the stairs, cursing the fact that my bedroom was on the second floor.
The moment my tired ass body hit the bed I was knocked out.
