After everything with Millie has been resolved, the girls began interrogating Kaneki in his house.

Shino: did you actually just used your Demon half to help Millie?

Kaneki: yes.

Yuuka: I thought you hated your Demon powers, so why did you summoned your Demon half?

Kaneki: I was desperate, I wanted to help free Millie from her family so when my Demon half offered a deal to me that if I allow him to use my body whenever I feel like helping Millie.

Natsuki: and you agreed to it?!

Kaneki: he told me when I'm done helping her, he'll stop usingy body.

Chikao & Sachi: still! Don't make a deal with your Demon half so recklessly!

Everyone was worried about Kaneki since making a deal with an inner demon is pretty dangerous.

Miku: just don't do that again, okay?

Kaneki: don't worry I ain't planning to!

All 6: good.

With that now resolved everyone sat down.

Kaneki: man so much stuff happened today huh?

Natsuki: yeah, to think Miku actually revealed her past to everyone.

Shino: to be honest I was really worried when Miku told everyone, I thought our classmates would be disgusted by her.

Yuuka: good thing Miku was able to defend herself.

Chikao: well it's all thanks to us after all! We believed in her.

Sachi: and surprisingly, Hayakawa-kun and Keiko.

Kaneki: those guys did it because they think Miku is my friend.

Miku: well their not exactly wrong.

Kaneki: yeah. To be honest I was really worried that Miku wouldn't be able to defend herself.

Miku: I feel the same way! I was really nervous! I mean revealing my past to everyone is really scary. But at least I have all of you on my side.

The girls smiled happily when Miku said that.

Miku: and most of all, thank you for being on my side, Onii-chan.

Kaneki: huh?

Kaneki was surprised when Miku said that, when she said "all of you" he thought he was included.

He didn't quite understand what his stepsister mean, so he asked.

Kaneki: what do you mean?

Miku: well you were the one who helped me out first when my shoes were destroyed, you offered to help fine the bully aka Millie, you calmed me down the most when I was crying and you even gave me confidence to face my past.

Kaneki: really?

Miku: yup! If it weren't for you, I probably wouldn't have been able to move on from my past.

Natsuki: I'm actually curious, how does facing Millie actually counts as facing your past?

Shino & Yuuka: yeah? How does that work?

Kaneki, Sachi & Chikao: yeah tell us.

Miku: alright then I'll tell you.

Miku then explained how facing Millie actually counted as facing he past.

Yuuka: I see, so by facing Millie, you're facing the malice of your father whom was the reason why you fell for your late brother.

Miku: yup! He always hated me for just being born and the only ones who showered me with love was Mom and Hinata-Oniichan when he was alive, so by facing Millie, I'm kind of facing my past trauma from my father.

Kaneki: I still don't understand how that works but good for you.

Miku: hehe~.

Kaneki: anyways, I'm gonna go check up on the insect familiars in the tree. I wanna see what they'vedone with our Sakura tree.

Natsuki: okay have fun.

Kaneki: I'll be back.

Kaneki then left the living room and went outside to check on the insect familiars.

Miku: I still can't believe Onii-chan actually helped out Millie.

Shino: same here, he actually did it.

Yuuka: I guess he really did so what he thought was right huh?

Miku: and he actually asked you guys first, why didn't you guys tell me?

Chikao: well you know how he is, he really didn't want you to think he was betraying you.

Miku: I understand but I'm still a bit mad you didn't tell me. But honestly... I'm kind of happy that Onii-chan actually helped out Millie.

All 5: really?

Miku: yeah. When Millie actually revealed to me that she knew my past I started thinking "why is she doing this" but I remembered that my late father never really loved his kids so I thought that maybe Millie wanted to be loved by him.

Natsuki: and you were right.

Miku: yeah. I actually did want help her but considering there's no way I could convince her. I gave up.

Sachi: but Kaneki didn't.

Miku: yeah, Onii-chan wouldn't let someone sad be alone.

Chikao: yeah he definitely doesn't. And because of that I was saved.

Shino: don't make this about you Chi-chan.

Chikao: hehe~ sorry.

Natsuki: but it is true, Kaneki definitely wouldn't let anyone sad be alone.

Yuuka: he really is kind huh?

Sachi: the kindest!

Shino: even though he is violent and mean at times deep down he is a softy.

Natsuki: he really is! That's what I love about Kaneki! despite his toughness, anger and really immense strength, he really is just a gentle and caring boy who wants to help others.

Miku: yeah, I'm really happy to be living with him. he is the best! I really love my Onii-chan!

Shino: yeah, a guy like Kaneki is really rare.

Sachi: I'm really happy to be his childhood friend, being with him is really the best feeling ever, I want to be with him forever!

Shino: I understand that, being around Kaneki does makes me feel safe and warm.

Yuuka: Yeah, he cares about his friends a lot and I admire him for that.

Chikao: Kaneki just makes everything feel better when things are tough. I really like him.

Natsuki: I agree, being around Kaneki does makes everything feel better. I'm glad to be his friend.

Natsuki's thoughts*

(It seems like the colors of Shino, Yuuka and Miku are showing the feelings of live towards Kaneki, I hope those colors grow stronger)

Miku: let's keep on getting along with Onii-chan alright?

All 4: sure!

Natsuki: of course, he has helped us so many times and it's probably our turn to help him.

Saying that they then changed the subject.

When Kaneki finished checking out the insect familiars, he went inside his house again but when he heard the girls talking about him.

He hid in the kitchen and listened to their talk about him.

And he heard everything they had to say about him.

The seal within Kaneki's heart then completely broke and then.

He suddenly remembered memories of Shino, Yuuka and Miku.
