Miku: Hey Onii-chan! Let's go!

Kaneki: just a moment, I'm just preparing Sword-san!

Miku: okay, I'll be waiting in the front door.

Kaneki: sure.

Miku left Kaneki's room and went their house's front door.

Kaneki: how did it end up like this?

Kaneki and Miku were both going to school together? How did that happen? Let's rewind to last night.

Last night*

They just finished washing the dishes and they both sat down to watch some T.v and suddenly Miku made a request.

Miku: Hey Onii-chan, let's go to school together tomorrow.

Kaneki: huh? Why?

Miku: well it's been a long time since we last walked to school together so it wouldn't really be bad to do so again.

Kaneki: yeah but, what would everyone think?

Miku: don't worry, we can just make an excuse that we just saw each other we just decided to walk together.

Kaneki: there's no way anyone is believing that.

Miku: it's worth a shot.

Kaneki: well don't say I didn't warn you.

Present time*

Kaneki: is this even okay?

Sword-san: [it's alright Kaneki-chan, your her brother after all]

Kaneki: am I?

Sword-san: [c'mon you know she didn't mean that, why would she call you "Onii-chan" then?]

Kaneki: I don't know...

Sword-san: [just go to Miku-chan already]

Kaneki: yeah yeah.

Kaneki sheathed Sword-san and got out to his room and went down stairs.

Miku: c'mon let's go!

Miku was urging Kaneki to be quicker.

Kaneki: I still don't know about this, our classmates might get the wrong idea.

Miku: pout* I seriously don't understand Onii-chan at all.

Kaneki's thoughts*

(She's pouting... How long has it been since I last saw her do that?)

Miku suddenly smiled.

Miku: well let's get going we don't want to be late.

Kaneki: yeah, let's go. House lockdown!

After locking their house the Higanbana siblings got out the front gate.

Kaneki: that's strange.

Miku: what is?

Kaneki: Sachi isn't outside, she usually waits for me around this time.

Miku: oh she already left 5 minutes ago.

Kaneki: seriously? Well I guess she really didn't want to be late.

Miku: yeah, alright let's go!

Kaneki: let's go.

They then started walking to school.

Miku: so Onii-chan, I know we're taking a break in our cooking class but in case we do go back to cooking what are we going to make next?

Kaneki: hmm. I know, why not Hamburg steak? It's really good we should make curry with it too.

Miku: that sounds delicious.

Kaneki: I know right? Let's do our best with cooking.

Miku: yeah!. Also did you enjoy my the bento I made for you a few days ago?

Kaneki: yes.

Miku: hehe~ be sure to eat the new one I made for today.

Kaneki: I will~ your egg dishes are really good~

Miku smiled more which made Kaneki smile as well.

Miku: Oooh? Onii-chan is smiling!

Kaneki: yeah? So?

Miku: nothing, it's just really good to see you smile. Seriously you have a killer smile.

Kaneki: that's an exaggeration.

Miku: by the way, I heard from Sachi-Oneechan that in your route to school you meet up with Natsuki, when will we meet her?

Kaneki: we're still a bit far but we'll eventually run into her.

Miku: I see... Hey Onii-chan, when you and Natsuki actually became friends how did you feel about it?

Kaneki: what made you ask?

Miku: I'm just curious.

Kaneki: well... I felt a bit uncomfortable, I mean she did stalk me and suddenly asked to be my friend.

Miku: I can see that, becoming friends with your stalker isn't really normal.

Kaneki: yeah, but she showed me I can trust her so I don't feel uncomfortable anymore. Also she's really fun to be around.

Miku: I see...

Kaneki: speaking of her, you two get along really well huh? I didn't expect that you two would get along.

Miku: neither did I, she was annoying at first but she really was fun. We have the same intereste and we just get along really well.

Kaneki: you two have some good chemistry.

Miku: yeah, I'm thankful you became friends with her.

Kaneki: same here she really is fun to be around.

???: ehhh?!

Miku: oops, she heard us.

Kaneki: this... Is really embarrassing.

Both Kaneki and Miku looked behind them and saw.

Natsuki: really?! Its fun to be with me?! I'm so happy!

Natsuki was somehow behind them and she heard their talk about her.

Miku: hehe~ yeah it's true, being with you is honestly really fun.

Kaneki: yup, to be honest I'd probably still have been pretty gloomy. So thank you for being my friend.

Miku: yeah, thanks for being Onii-chan's friend.

Hearing both Higanbana siblings being thankful to her for being their friend, Natsuki couldn't help but tear up.

Kaneki: you crying?

Natsuki: of course I am! I haven't heard anyone being grateful for me being their friend so hearing you two made me really happy!

Miku: there there.

Miku began patting Natsuki's back.

Kaneki: c'mon keep walking. Let's chat while we're at it.

Miku & Natsuki: okay!

The 3 of them began walking to school again and talked a bit.

When they got closer they decided separate.

Natsuki: well, it's been fun. Let's have some more fun after school alright?

Kaneki: sure.

Miku: see you later.

Natsuki then left.

Kaneki: well, shall we?

Miku: yeah, let's go.

Kaneki and Miku then went to school.
