jonin meeting ..

" huh ? you guys were in the middle of a meeting ? then looks like I arrived on time ." ren was surprised when he saw almost all the jonin assembled in the commander's tent when he had just arrived at the base camp . but he casually entered and sat down on an empty seat ignoring the hostile gazes of hyuga clan leader and inuzuka clan leader..

" you really have got guts boy . you actually arrived more than 4 days late and show such high attitude towards your senpai instead of apologising haha.. looks like you are in need of a tough lesson to show you who is boss .." the inuzuka clan head was a middle aged man and looked ferocious like a wild dog ready to bite ren . but a dog is a dog in the end so ren completely ignored his threat as he was too lazy to respond anyway ..

" so what were you guys discussing ? battle plans, supply routes ? " everyone was surprised because of ren's casual question as he had completely ignored the inuzuka..

" you bastard , looks like I will have to teach you a lesson in stead of your bad parents .." just when the inuzuka wanted to speak another word, his figure froze and cold sweat appeared on his forehead . in fact everyone in the room felt pressure on them which was really uncomfortable except ren .

ren used a technique called chakra press to shut the dog now . it's not a technique as user just uses his denser chakra to send pressure towards his enemy . but those who have much denser chakra and superior chakra control can use this technique to send killing intent towards his enemies and affect their mindset. during life and death battle this little gap is more than enough for the enemy to die. ren learnt this technique from tsunade as she tried to use it on him before . with ren's now kage level chakra control , it's too easy to affect multiple enemies at the same time much less an average jonin who is more like a puppy instead of ferocious wild dog .

" oye .. you know , I cant be bothered to respond everytime someone tries to provoke me but dont you dare to utter any word about my family and loved ones . you are lucky that your clan belongs to konoha otherwise I dont like sparing people who only know how to trash talk . hokage old man promoted me to a jonin shamelessly without asking my approval but dont you try to think that I'm not powerful enough . if anybody wants to try me then you are welcome to attack now ." with saying this ren retracted his pressure and everyone released a sigh of relief . but only one person was smiling while others were shocked by ren's power , he was the jonin commander of konoha who has same position as danzo - uncle nara . he is the adviser of hokage and main strategist too ..

" stop grinning uncle nara already . please continue the meeting as I want to train my new students after that .."

nara smiled as he finds ren very interesting. he is powerful as S rank ninja but has no interest in authority or power and most importantly hokage trusts him fully and advised nara to rely on him only during emergency situations because ren doesn't like to be forced and hokage doesn't want him to have any bad impression of leaf village . nara being an extremely intelligent person instantly connected the dots and knew that hokage planned to groom ren for passing hokage position to him possibly . there were more than one hokage candidates like orochimaru, sakumo and now ren was included too . this is more than enough to prove ren's importance in the village .

" now now .. dont get angry ren chan . its troublesome if you scare our jonin before battle . anyway you are also a member of high command so let me explain you the things we decided on before your late arrival .

the stone village has occupied the valley on the opposite side of rain village from us . its troublesome if they plan to make hidden rain village the battleground . hokage wants a friendly relationship with hanzo the salamander and doesn't want the civilians of rain village to suffer . so we have decided to focus on increasing the number of supply lines first and wait for stone forces moves because right now we cannot win in a single battle with their more than 3000 ninja force. "

hearing nara's words ren fell into deep thought because he also doesn't want the rain village to become the battleground. well the main problem is not the village but the civilian settlements they have under their rule . sudden war will definitely cause too many deaths and ruin many other lives ..
