Crafty old man.

Mitsuki left his house in the early morning, walking slowly through the Uchiha clan.

As he would walk by, passing Uchiha members would bow to him in respect.

Mitsuki only nodded in response as he kept walking.

As Mitsuki walked, the houses he passed by kept getting smaller and smaller while the Uchihas who passed became lower and lower in rank.

Finally arriving in front of a small house he knocked on the door.

A few moments later, a familiar smiling face opened the door before her smile turned into a scowl.

"What do you want?" Kurumi asked.

"I have something to discuss with you, aren't you going to invite me in first?" Mitsuki said.

"I have nothing to say to you." Kurumi said before closing the door.

Mitsuki put his foot in the door not allowing Kurumi to close it.

"It's something important." Mitsuki said.

After a few moments of contemplation Kurumi let go of the door and walked inside.

Mitsuki silently followed her inside, looking around the house.

It was small and cramped without even a backyard.

When his daughter became so adamant on marrying that good for nothing of a man he should have just gotten rid of him no matter the risk.

He was a respected clan elder of the Uchiha clan yet his daughter lived in such a house.

Kurumi took a seat and Mitsuki sat across from her.

"Your house is very nice, Katsuki did right by you." Mitsuki said.

"You're still as fake as ever dad." Kurumi said as she put an elbow on the table and rested her face on her hand.

Mitsuki continued talking, "I was very sad to hear of his tragic passing on the battlefield."

"Keep your fake condolences to yourself." Kurumi said.

Mitsuki sighed before saying, "I'll admit that I didn't like Katsuki but what kind of father would be happy at his daughter becoming a widow at such a young age."

Kurumi remained silent.

"I thought you married him out of rebellion at first." Mitsuki said.

Reaching his hand towards Kurumi, She tried to get away but Mitsuki was to swift as he held her face.

"But seeing how hurt you are at his passing, now I know that your love was genuine." Mitsuki said as he caressed his daughter's face.

Slapping his hand away, Kurumi said, "What would you know about what I feel."

"I also awakened the Sharingan when I lost someone very dear to me." Mitsuki said a he stared at Kurumi with his open three tomoe Sharingan.

Mitsuki had noticed his daughter's awakening as soon as he laid eyes on her.

He also managed to easily deduce the reason for her awakening with ease, linking it to her now deceased husband.

Was it underhanded to use the death of his daughter's husband to manipulate her?

Of course, but the morality of his actions never crossed Mitsuki's mind.

Perhaps because her emotions were rilled up or out of instinct upon meeting the gaze of a more powerful Sharingan, Kurumi's two tomoe Sharingan appeared.

Mitsuki tenderly embraced his daughter.

Sinking into his embrace, Kurumi finally broke down as she sobbed like a child.

"Come back and live with me Kurumi, you don't have to be alone anymore." Mitsuki whispered into his daughter's ear.

Shitsuya was quite baffled by the unexpected turn of events, he had underestimated that old grandfather of his.

While he was away at school, his grandfather somehow managed to convince his mother to move them to his grandfather's house.

Shitsuya was now in the belly of the beast unable to resist and forced to watch as his grandfather did as he liked.

Today his grandfather took him outside the clan and went to a training ground.

"Today I'll be teaching you about chakra natures." Mitsuki said.

"There are primarily five chakra natures." Mitsuki said as he held up five fingers.

"Fire, wind, lightning, earth and water."

Shitsuya nodded, he already knew about this but listened non the less.

"Each person has an affinity for all these chakra natures but the amount of affinity to each element varies from person to person."

"Most have a high affinity for only one chakra natures while some have a high affinity for multiple."

"Today we are going to find out which chakra nature you have." Mitsuki said as he brought out a small piece of paper from his pocket.

"This is chakra paper, it is used to see which chakra nature you possess, simply apply some of your chakra like so." Mitsuki said before pouring some of his chakra into the chakra paper.

The paper burned before splitting in half.

"The paper split in half before burning that means I have a both a fire and wind affinity." Mitsuki said.

"If it gets soggy that means a water affinity, if it wrinkles that means it's lightning while if it crumbles that means it's earth." Mitsuki added before handing Shitsuya a piece of paper.

Although Shitsuya was curious about his affinities, he also didn't want to reveal any more information to the old man.

But seeing as he had no choice, he injected his chakra into the paper and just hoped for the best.

The paper crumbled then burned signaling that Shitsuya had a fire and earth affinity.

Although Shitsuya already expected the fire affinity as an Uchiha he was still pleasantly surprised at the earth affinity.

Earth Jutsu such as those that allow the caster to hide underground were invaluable.

Earth release also allowed a large control of the battle field making the group under the enemy's feet a weapon.

Mitsuki seeing the result also nodded in satisfaction though for a different reason.

Fire release was naturally weak to water release but by also having earth release Shitsuya could naturally cover for the inherent weakness of fire style.
