"Even I wouldn't believe if someone told me that a 10-year-old kid defeated a monster that not even all the clan leaders could. But I have seen it with my own eyes. As you said we will keep Yami's name out of it" Riko said and the other clan leaders nodded.

The old man signaled Elder Wu who brought a scroll and kept in on the table in front of Asuma. "What is this?" Asuma asked as he looked at it.

"While going through the search of the battlefield, we found a few things and these are the ones that we believe belong to Yami." Elder wu said.

Kakashi looked at Wu and asked "And I assume that you guys went through it?"

The old man nodded and said "Yes but not all of them. Some of them had the insignia of the Uchiha clan on them and were sealed with some seal that could only be opened by an Uchiha. As for the others we did. They contain documents that we think Yami took while he raided the stone bases and some supplies of thin thread which we don't know why Yami has. I also found the scroll which I gave Yami and also its first part which I was tempted to take but I didn't."

"Can you tell me about that jutsu? I know you said that many have lost their lives because of it and I wouldn't want Yami to meddle in something like it. Especially if it is forbidden." Kakashi said. He was a little worried as he knew Yami would definitely try to learn it even if he knows the dangers that it could bring.

The old man shook his head and said "I cannot. If you were his sensei then I would have thought about telling you about it. We have also kept Yami's sword in the scroll. Though it is damaged and the sheath has been destroyed the material from which the sword was made really did raise many questions."

Asami nodded and said "Yes...I wanted to repair it for Yami so I handed the sword to my blacksmith but didn't know how it was made and with what. I would like to ask you if you know?"

Kakashi shook his head and said "This is the first I am hearing about this."

The leaf jonins and the clan leaders talked about a few more things and even promised to visit the hidden leaf when things are settled here.

After dinner, Asuma and the others stood up to leave. Kakashi looked at the clan leaders and asked "I don't know if you guys have decided but who will be the next Mizukage?"

"We truly haven't decided on that yet but I am opting out of it. I have seen things more than one should in a lifetime. I think it is time for the new generation to take the lead." the old man said as he looked at Asami and Riko.

Riko lifted his arms and said "Don't even look at me, old man. I am going to focus on increasing my strength. I am not losing to a 10-year-old again." Everyone burst into a chuckle as they heard it.

"Asuma and Kurenai, with your permission we would like to give some gifts to your genins. They have helped us immensely whether it be finding those who tried to flee or even preparing strategies to manage everything. I must say you guys have good students"

"It would be their honor to receive it. We are planning to leave tomorrow." Kurenai said as she gave Asami a small bow. She knew that for the past few days her squad was working under Asami's men to find those who were fleeing the hidden mist and Asuma's squad was working under AO to make efficient strategies.

Hidden leaf village. (10 pm)

The Stone faces.

The entire village was covered in lights as it was already night. 2 figures stood the top of the stone faces looking at the village.

"What did you want to talk about? It has just been 2 days since I arrived." one of the figures asked.

"I don't time to rest nowadays so just stay quiet and lemme look at the village in peace." another figure said in a complaining tone.

After a few seconds, the 2 figures asked "Have you convinced them of your death? I don't want a single thread tying you back here."

"Don't worry lord 5th. I made my death look convincing. My partner also knew that I have this illness so it wouldn't be a stretch to say that I had gotten weak." the figure said as he looked to the side.

"It is good that you are here Itachi. I have some things to tell you and some to ask. We weren't able to talk much in that genjutsu of yours and you didn't say much in the scroll you sent me a few days ago. I have gotten a letter from Kakashi regarding the war in the hidden mist. I have news about your brother."

Itachi just looked at Tsunade. Even though his eyes looked like a predator, she could see some kind of fear in it.

"Is he alright?" Itachi asked.

"Their fight against the Mizukage faction and the stone shinobis didn't last long but their fight was against the monster." Tsunade said.

"The monster? Do you mean the one that has terrorized the cloud shinobis? How did that monster reach the island? and did Yami face it?" Itachi asked in a little desperate tone. Tsunade had seen Itachi a few times before but he had always maintained his calm.

Tsunade nodded and said "Yes, he not only fought it but in the end he fought against the monster alone and even managed to defeat it."

Itachi's eyes widened as he heard that and said "How is that possible? That monster is said to hold the strength equivalent to a tailed beast and has unknown origins. I knew that Yami was strong but this is beyond my understanding."

Even though Itachi was shocked by this news, he had no idea the true capability of the monster was more than that of a tailed beast. The cloud shinobis who had faced the monster weren't able to push it to the extreme as Yami had and so the entire shinobi world had no idea about its true power. The cult that wanted to make use of it had now lost it.

"Yes, it came as a surprise to me as well. Apparently, Yami can use scorch release kekkai Genkai, and that too is way better than we have read Pakura using it. Since Pakura was the first and last person to be able to use it I guess it isn't much about the bloodline" Tsunade said.

"None of these things seem to warrant me being here personally. Are you preparing to say something?"Itachi said as he turned around to leave.

"Ughh...you kids really don't have the patience anymore. Yami was hurt bad enough that half of his body was destroyed and even his organs were damaged." As Tsunade finished that sentence she saw the Mangekyo Sharingan appear in Itachi's eyes and the chakra in the surroundings become turbulent.

"Don't get your chakra riled up...Yami called his summoning animal and had himself taken away. The animal did say that Yami won't die due to his pure chakra but reconstructing his body will take time. Yami does know about your death but Sasuke doesn't. We don't know how he will react to it when Yami isn't in front of him."

"I will try finding out about the bat summons. Maybe I can locate their cave. As for Sasuke, let's not wait much longer. Have his sensei tell him the news. I trust Kakashi to handle it properly. Yami is getting me worried. He might attract the wrong attention." Itachi said and after a few seconds of silence, he disappeared.

He wasn't wrong about attracting the wrong attention because the next day the news about the war spread like wildfire. And it didn't just spread in the hidden mist but the shinobi world as well. Within 24 hours the feats of the Genjutsu demon and his identity were known by all 5 villages. And just as Kakashi and the others expected, the Tsuchikage placed a bounty on Yami's head. After all, Yami not only destroyed their bases, killed their people, and stole their supplies, but also caused the hidden stone to face humiliation and also cost compensation that they would have to pay the hidden mist.
