Chapter 4- Yeah, I like him

A few days passes by, while the family of three are eating breakfast, they heard an urgent knock on the door, Rin wondering who it was, opened the door and saw Minato with a nervous look and said,

"Rin-san, Kushina is in the hospital right now"

Rin was shocked when she heard his words and ask anxiously, "What happened to her?"

"She was kidnaped last night by Kumo ninjas, but I save her, and she is alright now, we are just in the hospital to see if she has other injuries. This is just my shadow clone; I am beside her right now since she is still scared."

Rin calmed herself when he heard Minato's words and said, "Thank goodness, thank you Minato for saving her,"

"Ara~ is that so~" She tease, but she still smiled and said,

"Even that is the case, I still wanted to thank you, you know that she is very important to me,"

Minato only smiled since he did not know what else to say,

"Okay then, I will visit her right now," said Rin

Minato nodded and his clone vanishes into smoke, Rin quickly dress up the kids to visit the hospital.

When the people inside the room notice the Hokage they pause and look at him,

"Kushina, how are you feeling?" Hiruzen ask

Kushina did not speak and Hiruzen just sighed and said,

"I'm sorry Kushina, I promise nothing will happen to you, I will make it so that the ANBU will protect you"

Kushina just shook her head and said, "It's fine Hokage-sama, I just felt scared is all"

Hiruzen just nodded and he looks at Rin not knowing what to say since he did promise to her that he will protect Kushina when she became a Jinchuriki, not only that but he even promises Mito, but not long after that, Kushina got kidnap.

Rin look at the Hokage and said, "I will take Kushina with us and she will live with us, I heard about it that she lives in the outskirt of the village that's why the Cloud got her, now that the seal is stabilized, she can now live with us, is it that right, Hokage-sama?"

Hiruzen just nodded and said, "Very well, I will feel at ease if she lives with you"

Rin just nodded, Hiruzen look at Minato and said, "Minato, good job protecting Kushina, I will see to it that you deserve a reward"

Minato just nodded his head, and Hiruzen look at Kushina again and said, "Kushina, you already know that you cannot leave the village, right?"

Kushina look at Hiruzen and nodded, well, Mito already explained to her, her true purpose of coming to the village, and she could only grit her teeth in knowing the consequences,

Hiruzen then continued, "Although you cannot leave the village for now it is also for your safety, and I will assign someone to be your mentor"

"It is fine, Hokage-sama, I will teach Kushina," said Rin

"Well, Kushina here cannot go out and have her team due to that, but I can still teach her sealing techniques, and besides she is an Uzumaki, the best one to teach her is also an Uzumaki"

Haru nodded vigorously, and Rin also saw Kakashi raising his hand and she smiled, "Well, you both are still too young, but I can teach you other stuff like writing and painting"

Haru looks at his tiny hands and thought, 'Hahaha, what am I thinking of learning seals if I don't even know how to write, not only that my hands are also too small'

Rin and Minato saluted the Hokage and he left.

And just like that, Kushina went home and after a day of rest, they started to learn Fuinjutsu with the aid of Rin, while Haru and Kakashi are busy painting different pictures beside them. Rin also taught them how to write.

Sakumo's POV

I am in the Hokage's office to report my post-war duties against the sand, I want to go home right now since I miss my son. I have not seen him for many months now, it's a good thing that I have Sosuke's family to look after him but, I don't want to be an irresponsible father, I promise my late wife to take care of him.

"Good work, Sakumo, you may take a break," said the Hokage

"Hai! Thank you, Hokage-sama,"

After that the Hokage dismiss me, and I hurriedly went back to the clan. After walking for a while, I finally arrive at Sosuke's house, and I knock on the door.

The door opened and I saw Rin opening it,

"I'm back, Rin"

"Ara~ Welcome home, Sakumo-nii" she said

"Where is Kakashi?"

"Oh, he is sleeping together with Haru in his room, please come inside"

I thank her and walks inside the house, she walks towards the kitchen and said,

"Please stay and have dinner with us Sakumo-nii, Sosuke will come home soon"

"Alright, I'll trouble you, Rin, I will take a look at Kakashi first"

Rin nodded and went inside the kitchen; I then walk towards the stairs to go to Haru's room. I opened the door and saw a very spacious and clean room.

His room is very big, the bed is placed in the center facing the sliding door that leads to the garden. A sofa is placed on the right side of the room and a study desk was place on the left side, the walk-in closet is also on the left side of the room.

I saw one red and one silver-haired meat buns, curled up and hugging each other while sleeping. My heart just melted seeing the two sleeping peacefully.

They both look cute together, Haru has an angelic face coupled with his red hair and my son took my looks, he will be as handsome as me when he grows up or much more handsome.

Seeing them sleeping together really made me very happy, but why do I feel that they look very good together though? Hmm… Well, who cares, I just hope my son enjoys his days and be a kid, but the reality is often disappointing.

The second ninja war is still ongoing, and I have no choice but to train him after a year or two to protect himself, since I won't be able to protect him forever and who knows what will happen to me during this waring state.

I sigh at the thought until I heard a rustling sound, and it looks like Haru is awake.

Shouted Haru startling Kakashi awake, he looks around groggily and saw me and he suddenly jumps into my arms.

I caught him and I hugged my son; I am very thankful that my son did not develop any cold personality since he has Haru and his family to play with.

"Dad, welcome back"

I nodded at him, and I also saw Haru climbing down the bed, I hold Kakashi on my left arm and took Haru on my right.

The two kids giggled, and we heard Rin calling us down. We went down to the dining table and saw many foods prepared for dinner.

I saw Kushina already sitting at the table, she also saw me and greeted me,

"Sakumo-san, you are back"

I nod at her and set up the kids on each chair and I also sat down to eat the meal in front of us.

"Let's start eating, it looks like Sosuke will be late for dinner again," said Rin

We started dinner peacefully until Rin ask me about the war,

"Sakumo-nii, how is the war going on?"

I look at Rin and sigh, "Well, I have bad news to tell you,"

Rin stops eating and looks at me in a serious expression and asks, "What is it, Sakumo-nii?"

"Although we won the war against the sand thanks to Tsunade's antidote but her lover Dan, did not make it"

When Rin heard my words, she was shocked and ask anxiously, "Then what happened to Tsunade?"

"Well, she retired, both from being a ninja and in the medical field, I also heard that she was hit hard by the reality, and develop blood trauma"

Rin took deep breaths to calm herself and after a while, she sighs deeply and said, "Tsunade is really unlucky, first her brother, and then now… when will this all end"

I keep silent since even for me, I don't know how long will this last. Haru looks at us and asks me,

"Uncle, how long will your vacation last?"

"Hmm? Why do you ask Haru?"

"Well, since the war is still going on, I want to start training and become strong"

I raise my brows and looks at Haru surprised by what he said and asks,

"Why do you want to become strong Haru?"

"Well, to protect you all"

I smiled at his innocent answer, and I also heard my son's words

"Me too, dad I want to become strong," said Kakashi

I pat their heads and stare at them and said, "Well said the two of you, but you are both still young"

I saw them pout their lips looking very cute and Haru said, "Then, then, when can we start our training?"

"Hmm… how old are you now?" I ask them although I already know how old they are, I am just asking if they both know.

Haru answered first and said, "Two"

While Kakashi raises his two fingers and said, "T-two"

I smiled at them and said, "Okay, I will start training you when you reach 3 years old"

"Three?" asks Kakashi

I nod and continue, "Yes, but if you are eager, you can learn basic knowledge from Rin, you need to learn first how to read and write"

"I know how to read and write uncle," said Haru

"I know, I am talking about Kakashi here,"

"I-I also know how to write"

My son said before going down from his seat and run towards the living room, I look at Rin questionably and she just smiled at me, then I saw him holding a paper and gave it to me, I opened it and saw a painting, well it looks like a drawing of a family, I look at him and ask,

"Well, what is this Kakashi?"

"I paint it," said Kakashi while walking towards me, I took him on my lap and he said, "This is you, then me, then Haru, then aunt and uncle then Kushina-nee"

I look at him and then at the drawing, and there is a word at the top that said, "Family"

"See, dad I know how to write"

I look at him and tears are forming in my eyes, I smiled and hug my son,

"Thank you, Kakashi"

Kakashi also hug me, and I release him and look at him and Haru and said,

"Well, Kakashi I am very proud of you but, you are both still too young to train, learn well from your aunt, okay"

Kakashi just nodded and I put him back to his chair and I heard Haru said,

"Don't worry uncle, we will do our best and I will help Kakashi"

"Thank you, Haru, you really like Kakashi, huh?"

Haru nodded and said, "Yeah, I like him"

I smiled at them and said, "Okay, help Kakashi and once you turned three, I will start your training"

They both nods and Kakashi said, "I-I will do my best"

I nod and looks at Rin, "I will leave it to you Rin"

"Ara~ You can count on me Sakumo-nii"

"I can also teach them, uncle," said Kushina

I smiled at her and nodded, and then we heard the door opened and Sosuke's voice is heard at the door,

"Honey, I'm home"

"Daddy," said Haru while running towards Sosuke

"Haru, you miss your dad?" said Sosuke

"Yes"

Sosuke rubs Haru's head and went to the dining table and took his seat,

"How is the business, these days, Sosuke?" I ask

"It is very tiring, but the business is doing great, I am planning to develop the shop and make it into a company by adding other stores such as clothing and general good stores.

I also found a very capable assistant, aside from that, thanks to Rin's various seals, other businesses want to cooperate with us, but I am still investigating some of them since I don't want to partner with greedy people"

I nod and say, "Okay, just don't tire yourself, since I am still active in duty"

"I know, Nii-san don't worry,"

And then we continue to eat dinner.
