Working out and meeting a certain someone

Tenko Mitsashi was sitting on the bed in his room.

He was living in the male dormitory of the Academy.

"Argh! Can't believe I've lost so shamefully. Mother definitely would laugh her ass off. Old lady, thinking martial arts could compete with weapons." Tenko said while administrating some medicine in his back.

If he were sincere, that pink haired boy was beginning to scare the crap out of him.

Being already well regarded in class, the fact he knew how to handle himself in combat was something to take notice.

"By the sage!" The boy yelled. Flinching after laying down abruptly.

"This Haruno individual, didn't he said he wasn't used to fight? If that was the case, I would be the winner for sure. However, once I sprinted in his direction, he acted as a battle veteran." Tenko frowned.

Their age gap wasn't that big, he was probably around a year older than the pink haired boy, but now he noticed that Bakura wasn't a simple figure as he once considered.

But if throwing weapons was allowed, than he was sure tables would have been turned, his skill in bukijutsu would have caused the spar to end in his favor.

While he was deep in thought, Tenko was spinning some kunais among his fingers.

Three projectiles were thrown upward.

*thud thud thud*

The ceiling received another three kunais among its recent collection.

"Damn it! How am I supposed to get those back now?!... Well, at least I have lots in spare."

———————————————————

Bakura had just left the training grounds and was making his way towards the students building.

He couldn't help but contemplate how fruitful his day had been.

He had just recently awakened in a fictional world.

In his head, he vaguely grasped a deep knowledge with a mysterious origin.

Thanks to it, he began instinctively correcting every action he made.

Be it his posture, his aim and even aiding him in combat.

Although his physique is weak and he was not even a Bronze rank fighter yet, this hidden experience granted him a large edge in performing various tasks.

Regardless of the kind of weapon, be it swords, kunais, or even a shurikens. In his hands, he knew how to handle them as if they were a deadly weapon.

It didn't mattered if Bakura wasn't a Bronze rank fighter yet, he could think of countless methods to kill a Bronze rank or even a Silver rank fighter.

Admittedly, against a Shinobi his chances weren't as great.

For now at least.

———————————————————

Rocky li had just finished cleaning the hall of the orphanage.

As the other kids began picking their cleaning tools to storage them, the girl with bushy eyebrows kept thinking.

She couldn't take her classmate out of her mind.

His looks and actions from earlier till now were deeply engraved within her mind, leaving her with deep admiration.

Since her affectionate caretaker, this was the only person Rocky Li had truly admired.

Bakura's knowledge and charisma were simply at the level of their classroom teacher.

This was specially significant, considering he wasn't part of a great clan.

Even if an highborn were to study for their entire life, after listening to some of her classmate ramblings, she was sure they still wouldn't able to reach Bakura's level.

She couldn't help feeling excited for future classes.

"Hurry up Li. We already have finished our duty, let's store everything, I still have some homework to finish!" Another orphan quickly ordered.

"Okay!" Rocky Li replied.

———————————————————

So, after entering his room, Bakura began exercising himself.

Strengthening his childish body as much as he could without hindering his growth.

He stood in front of his chair and began with feet hip-width apart. Placed one leg behind on the chair. Positioned his hands on hips and performed lunges by bending the front knee..

After that, he extended one leg in front of him. And slowly lowered down into a squat until his glutes were close enough to the chair, and then stood up. Repeating this movement for quite some time.

Now his arms.

He then placed his hands on the edge of the chair, fingertips faced towards his back. Extended his legs in front of him and then lowered and raise himself by bending the elbows.

Following that, he placed both feet on his seat, and placed his hands onto the ground. Assuming plank position, he began lifting his right leg before bringing it towards his right elbow for an oblique crunch.

Finally beginning to sweat, he kept going.

Leaving the chair, he assumed plank position with hands under his shoulders and feet extended behind. He then jumped both feet to the outside of his hands and then back into the plank position. Continuously.

Noticing his leg weren't strong enough, he stood up and lunged with his right leg extended behind him, finishing by kicking it frontwards.

Feeling his quick exercise already making some effect, he knelt.

Extended his right leg out to the side and placed his left hand on the ground next to him.

Making little circles with his glutes and then reversing directions.

Quickly changing the muscles being used he stood in a push-up position with one hand staggered a few centimeters in from of the other.

He kept performing pushups while moving one hand in front of each other continuously.

Walking pushups were straining, but necessary for his desired fitness conditioning.

And so he kept exercising until dawn.

Although he have yet to enter 1-star Bronze rank, his body is extremely strong compared to normal humans.

So staying up all night was nothing for him.

———————————————————

Bakura, Tenko and Rocky began studying together and continuously went to the training ground to exercise.

For now, they were honing their physical dexterity and strength.

Seven consecutive days were spent attending lessons during the day, at afternoon the three of them would come to the training grounds to spar and exercise in its large space, and at night Bakura worked out diligently at his room.

Most students in the Holy Flame Academy were impressed at the amount of hours the trio spent in the training, while most at their class were simply playing and having fun.

The Holy Flame Academy even specially dispatched instructors to analyze from afar, and they couldn't help but to get impressed.

On the eighth consecutive afternoon, Bakura's group of three were finishing some laps around the area.

The sky was getting dark and it was already late evening.

Tenko yawned and said. "Guys, I'm done for today. I'm heading to the students building. See you all tomorrow."

Seven consecutive days of nonstop study and training caused him to be so tired, both physically and mentally, that he couldn't continue anymore.

But it wasn't just Tenko, even Rocky didn't continued.

"Haruno-San, I'm afraid it is my time again to help clean the orphanage and I'm probably already late." She said.

Her fighting spirit has grown since both Bakura and Tenko pushed her to train.

As they still don't have enough chakra to manipulate, her inability to properly channel it hasn't been noticed yet.

"No problem. We'll pause the training tomorrow. What do you think about exploring the city tomorrow after class?" Bakura proposed.

His physical training had already helped him get more acquainted with his new body.

But he is still too young to strain himself to use weights.

So, he find a break will provide him more benefits.

Tenko and Rocky left first, while Bakura was still stretching.

He was considerably more tired because of his sleepless nights of workout.

Although his mind possessed the spark of vast knowledge , in the end he's still just a kid.

As he was approaching the gates of the training center.

The moon was hanging in the sky and the sounds of some staff members being heard from time to time, meaning the area was very quiet.

There was no reported cases of violent crimes in the academy area, so it was extremely safe.

Suddenly, Bakura heard the sound of someone still training in the throwing range.

He or she seemed to be very distracted to take the risk of being thrown away of the arena.

"Who is still in the training grounds at this time?"

'Don't tell me it's you Ning'er!' He jokingly remarked in his mind. Remembering another fictional story that shared great similarities with this world.

And so Bakura turned towards that direction and made his way towards it.

He walked stealthy among the shadows.

Using the moonlight to see, he saw a pale and raven haired girl throwing kunais without stopping.

Her aim wasn't perfect, but her hand skill in throwing those projectiles was really impressive, and she was exuding a faint wave of energy.

This is the feeling of chakra! Although she hadn't step into Bronze rank, she should be entering it very soon.

Yup, he was a sensor.

Not innately, but through great skill in manipulating his tiny chakra reserves, he was able to mimic the real deal.

Back to miss lone wolf.

Her eyes were shut, her posture showed tiredness, and her available weapons were diminishing.

'Sasu... er... I mean, Satsuki Uchiha. Who would have thought you would be training your ass out. Though I suppose it's good to not rely on your condition as an innate genius.' Thought Bakura sarcastically.

Satsuki must be desperate to avenge her clan. Was it "Itachi" responsible again this time?

He wasn't sure, those types of information were his Achilles' heel.

Thinking back when this was simply a fictional story, he remembered that sasuke spent his whole life living as an avenger, unfortunately "the last Uchiha" didn't learned the truth until it was too late.

Even though he had redeemed himself, life never really allowed him to relax, not even a bit.

Born and raised in one of the most powerful clans of the leaf, and inherit the broken hax that was the Sharingan, he still had always been struggling.

Such was the curse of hatred!

Thinking about how Satsuki was training here in the middle of the night, Bakura suddenly remembered that his counterpart was madly in love with hers.

Indeed she might be cute and impressive, but he didn't felt that kind of feeling towards her.

After pondering all that to himself, Bakura decided to walk towards her.

"Who is there!?" Satsuki suddenly turns her gaze, and question with a serious face, while positioning herself ready for battle.

She then looked at Bakura.

Her facial expression was chilling cold at this point.

"Greetings classmate Uchiha-San!" He said respectfully.

Satsuki put down her kunais after noticing it was just a boy, but she still kept her guard up as she looked at Bakura and said. "What is it? Can't you see I'm occupied?"

He smiled amicably. "Sorry to bother you. I've came to warn you it's already late evening. This facility is about to close."

"I am well aware, now move along." Satsuki said coldly.

Bakura shrugged his shoulders and said while turning to leave. "Only trying to be of help. But as I said, sorry to bother."

"Stop right there now. I... I remember you now. You are that smart boy from class. From what I see you aren't one to talk about overtraining." Satsuki remarked in her cold tone.

"So you remember me. About that, I wasn't commenting on your decisions, simply trying to avoid trouble with the Academy workers." Bakura said while halting his retreat, and turning to face her.

She will eventually become the second most powerful shinobi, it's a pity that she'll be using such self harming methods.

"I'm going to continue practicing!" She coldly stated to at him right before turning her back and went to retrieve her weapons from the target.

Neither Satsuki nor her counterpart like being disrupted by others.

She had an expression that "pushed people thousands of miles away" all the while acting "cool" unintentionally, and because of that she rarely associated with the students in class, the friendless Uchiha seemed somewhat eccentric to most observers.

"Okay then. Have a good night!" Bakura said as he faintly smiled.

But after remembering something, he halted his exit for the second time.

When Satsuki was making her way back to her throwing site, she furrowed her eyebrows after seeing him again.

'What does this useless want now?! Is him another fanboy?' She thought.

She couldn't help feeling somewhat angry.

There were lots of boys chasing after her in the Academy, but she had always ignored them.

Satsuki only wants to focus on her training.

To one day avenge her clan.

"Why are you still here? You should go to bed." She wasn't happy by her tone.

Bakura had disrupted her for the second time now.

But his gaze was fixated on her eyes.

He finally said. "Wow! You are really a genius! To have already unlocked the Sharingan, congratulations Uchiha-San."

After hearing what her classmate just said, Satsuki was slightly stunned and soon answered. "What did you say?"

All her training and mental focus was in order to unlock her clan's dojutsu, everything she did was to allow her to extract her vengeance.

"Your eyes." Bakura smiled, "Once you evolve them, your regular sight is lessened. Not only that but your perception of depth impairs your orientation of space, in other words, your balance. But to unlock it before reaching Bronze rank? You really are a natural."

She was shocked by his words.

She had distanced herself from her clan, not even her grandmother was aware of her current condition or desperate desire.

How did this aristocratic boy knew about it? Was he bluffing?

Seeing the expression on Satsuki's face, Bakura knew that he had caught her attention.

Curiously, Satsuki's counterpart had first unlocked his Sharingan during the Uchihas massacre. And he only learned how to intentionally control it's use after facing the ice trap dude, it would be a special moment of self sacrifice to protect "Naruto", making the blond boy tapping into the kyuubi's power for the first time.

"In addition to these symptoms, your body should be harder to coordinate it's movement. Quite a draw back in exchange for such power." Bakura said pondering to himsel.

While hearing her classmate's words, Satsuki analysed his facial and body expressions.

Trying to discern his remarks truthfulness.

Both of her fists were clenched tightly, and her eyes were narrowed.

How could this be?

Even though this intel should have been guarded as her clan's secret, she was sure she never heard this before from her mother, she needed to learn more.

If Bakura could list what her drawbacks were with one glance.

What else does he knows?

Seeing the usually brooding Uchiha in this state of curiosity, made it hard for him to hold a grin from spreading on his face.

But he endured nonetheless.

"Hey, since you know that much smart boy, you should know more valuable information about the Sharingan, right?" Asked Satsuki.

Intrigued by what Bakura said, she uncharacteristically dropped her cold pose that she had up against him and requeste. "Could you teach me?"

She was, after all, only a eight year old girl.

Her "Emo" personality hasn't fully developed yet.

The pink haired boy, after listening to her sudden change of tone, actually considered to offer his help.

This, as a matter of fact, is a golden opportunity to make a relationship bond with one of the main characters.

Or at least, a different version of someone who once was one of the protagonists of that fictional story.

Bakura was silent, only for a moment, before he stated.

"Uchiha-San, you flatter me. I'm sure your clan already had told you all I previously stated. Besides, everything I know is only because of countless books I've read, and thanks to some observation and theorizing on my part."

"Truly? Well, I'm interested in hearing about it." Replied Satsuki.

Secretly her curiosity had reach great heights. "If it's of you desire, I can pay for any valuable information you provide me."

"I don't want your money! But if you want to hear my ramblings so much, how am I supposed to decline? But I'm afraid today won't be possible." Bakura pretended to relent, but stated his condition.

"I don't see why not?" Questioned Satsuki.

She burrowed her brows at his antics.

She's a member of a noble family, but this low grade aristocrat still acted as her equal.

"Apologies, but its already nighttime. I really don't want to get into trouble this early at the Academy." Bakura said as he began to stretched in front of her.

He followed up with. "Hey, my friends and I are planing to walk around the city after class tomorrow. Are interested to accompany us?"

Satsuki looked up at Bakura.

If a stranger were to ask her to fool around instead of training, she'd simply label them as annoying.

But she, after remembering her classmate reputation in class, couldn't help feeling a sense of trust towards him.

Bakura had told her, he would indulge her curiosity and help in what he could.

She simply nodded before turning the side.

She reacted only for a moment.

Lowering her head and began to think about something.

But when she returned her gaze on her classmate.

He had already left.

Satsuki's eyes widened and an incredible look was in them as she looked around.

"Where did he go?" She said quickly to herself.

Her thoughts towards Bakura initially had a hint of confusion in them, but it was soon turned into something similar to admiration.

But not there yet.

Bakura was younger than she was, but Satsuki realised that there was a wide gap between them.

It was now becoming unlikely, what she used to think, that he was a mere "Weakling Bookworm".

She was considering just how ignorant she was by dismissing him.

Ever since she was young, no matter if it's talent or intelligence, Satsuki had far surpassed her peers.

Unfortunately, that was never enough to impress her mother, or to be comparable to her older sister.

And so, this was the first time she regarded someone of her own age.

After reflecting about the strange situation.

She left for her clan's compound.

And so, in that night.

The moon was like water.

As the moonlight shined, it would sprinkle a layer of veil over the night.

As the city's lights were being extinguished one by one.
