Chapter 148: Class Improvement Settlement

In the Academy, Classroom 1-1.

During Ninjutsu class, Mutsuki lectured:

"Precision control of Chakra has a significant impact on a ninja's strength. Over the next three weeks, our main focus will be on improving Chakra control ability."

The second semester at the Academy lasted only three and a half months, starting in early September and ending in mid-December. Today was already November 6th, leaving only a month and a half before the break. According to the estimated schedule, Mutsuki began Chakra control training.

Although there were three full weeks available, the goal was not to simultaneously complete tree climbing and water walking exercises; completing the tree climbing training alone would suffice.

Firstly, Academy students had theoretical classes and Taijutsu classes in addition to Ninjutsu classes, unlike during special training where they trained all day. Moreover, Ninjutsu classes themselves weren't solely focused on Chakra control; the emphasis was simply placed on it. They still had to continue learning the Three Basic Jutsu. Additionally, the efficiency of ordinary students' learning was also taken into consideration.

Don't underestimate Hagane Kotetsu and Kamizuki Izumo's B- potential; in the Academy, that's actually considered quite high. Most of the students in Mutsuki's class only have around C-level potential.

"Yumi-sensei, what about those of us who have already completed the training?" Anko asked. Anko, Izumo, and Kotetsu had participated in the summer special training and had already met Mutsuki's course requirements.

"Continue with regular training," Mutsuki replied. Although Anko and the others were ahead in progress, they hadn't reached the point of learning more advanced techniques yet. They still needed to deepen their understanding of what they had learned so far.

Because they needed trees for practice, Mutsuki took the students to the small forest inside the Academy.

While Konoha might lack in some areas, it certainly wasn't lacking in trees; trees over ten meters tall were quite common.

After explaining the principles and demonstrating, Mutsuki had a few students who had completed the training demonstrate as well before letting the rest of the students begin their practice.

Mutsuki didn't have the students climb the trees directly; instead, he had them first get accustomed to the feeling of condensing Chakra in their feet.

The feet are the most difficult body part to condense Chakra, especially for Mutsuki's students who have only been exposed to Chakra for a few months as first-year students. This poses a significant challenge for them.

Once they become familiar enough, they can start preliminary tree-climbing exercises to get a feel for it. Mutsuki's goal for them in the first week is to reach a height of eight meters; just reaching that height counts as a success.

However, in the first class, even reaching eight meters is a challenge for some students. Some find it difficult to even take two steps on the tree, and they basically fall off before taking a few steps.

Mutsuki doesn't need to catch them at this height; the students can land safely on their own.

"Yumi-sensei, will there be special training after the end of this semester?" Kotetsu asked Mutsuki during a break.

"If nothing unexpected happens, there should be," Mutsuki nodded.

It's hard to say after the war ends, but before the war ends, this special training should continue, aimed at accelerating the growth of lower-level ninjas.

"Yumi-sensei, what are the conditions for participating in special training?" a student asked opportunistically.

Mutsuki's classmates were very envious of the progress made by Anko and the others.

If Hiruzen assigned him the internship plan, Mutsuki was prepared to lead students in their internships and see if completing commissioned tasks could earn them rewards.

After all, his disciples were eventually going to graduate. Guy and Obito would graduate in a few months, and it wouldn't be fair if there were no rewards for performing well in school after becoming a ninja. If that were the case, Mutsuki would definitely ensure that Shisui completed the entire fourth year to gain more Ninjutsu Proficient scrolls.

The Sharingan allowed Shisui to enter an early stage of rapid Chakra growth. Coupled with the highest level of trust among his desciples, Shisui alone provided him with 1,800 points of Chakra this month, more than Guy and Obito combined.

Mutsuki could only say that the "big gold mine" was indeed powerful. Just with its preliminary development, it was already so intense. When it matures further, it won't just be Chakra but tons of it.

Mutsuki estimated that by the end of this semester, his Chakra should be able to break through 30,000, but it might just be slightly over 30,000.

Just as Shisui and Obito were engaged in intense Breathing Technique combat, Guy's Stone Breathing made a breakthrough. His Proficiency level exceeded fifty, and he began practicing Stone Breathing's Total Concentration Breathing.

Although he was still behind Obito and Shisui in progress, Guy was full of motivation. He didn't give up on all those boring basic trainings before, let alone the more noticeable effect of becoming stronger with Breathing Technique. The feeling of getting stronger bit by bit made Guy unable to stop.
