The Fallen... Creator?!
The term, almost blasphemous, accompanied by undisguised mockery, left everyone stunned.
Hearing the name "The Fallen Creator" caused a wave of unease to wash over the group, as if it carried an ominous aura.
In the silence, the group exchanged glances, each seeing deep shock reflected in the others' eyes.
They didn't know much about the "Creator," most of their knowledge came from "Adam."
According to him, the Original Creator was the one who shaped the world but fell into a "death-like" slumber after being betrayed, waiting for the next "awakening."
But now, aside from the "Original Creator," there was also a "Fallen Creator!"
"Mr. Adam, you seem... familiar with this 'Fallen Creator'?"
Orochimaru's eyes gleamed with desire, his fingers subconsciously clenched, and his voice trembled slightly as he asked.
He was extremely curious!
Not for Konoha, and not for Uchiha Sogetsu.
It was pure curiosity, a thirst for knowledge, an insatiable desire to uncover the hidden "truths" of the world!
"I knew him once, but not anymore."
Uchiha Sogetsu's ambiguous answer only fueled the group's imagination.
Unlike Orochimaru's evident "desire," White Fang appeared indifferent, while Konan was slightly surprised. Only Onoki caught the tone in "Adam's" voice—calm, composed, and utterly unbothered.
What was "Adam's" true identity?
To speak of another "Creator" with such equality, even mockery, was chilling for Onoki, sending cold sweat down his back.
No, he couldn't think about it any further.
He swallowed hard, forcing his mind to stop spiraling.
Just then, Onoki felt a faint, superior gaze directed at him.
"Rock, you seem rather tense?"
Uchiha Sogetsu's playful tone only deepened Onoki's suspicions.
"N-No, Lord Adam," Onoki said, not daring to lift his head, forcing a strained smile. "It's just... hearing about a 'Fallen Creator' for the first time, it's a bit shocking."
"Oh, really?"
Uchiha Sogetsu chuckled softly.
Through his Spirit Vision, he saw the turmoil within Onoki's heart.
"Forget it, none of this matters."
With his head lowered, Ōnoki felt a wave of relief as the gaze that had been fixated on him finally shifted away.
"By the way, the next time you encounter that group, you'd better be cautious," Uchiha Sogetsu said slowly, with a hint of deeper meaning.
"Especially when you see the figures of the 'Hanged Giant' or 'The Eyes Behind the Shadow Veil.' Whatever you do, do not look directly at them. Otherwise... it would be akin to 'gazing upon a god,' and I trust you understand the implications of that."
Ōnoki nodded, still shaken. He had once briefly experienced such a "gaze," and the pain was something he could never forget.
However, when the term "Hanged Giant" reached Orochimaru's ears, it sparked a sudden realization. He quickly asked, "Mr. Adam, when Uchiha Sogetsu was murdered, Danzo deliberately arranged his corpse to resemble a hanged figure. Is there a deeper meaning behind this?"
Uchiha Sogetsu lightly tapped his finger on the table, a faint smile on his lips, and uttered four simple words: "A summoning ritual."
A summoning ritual?!
These words struck everyone like a heavy boulder, causing shockwaves to ripple through their hearts.
"Mr. Adam, the 'summoning ritual' you're referring to... could it mean..." Ōnoki's eyes widened, his mouth dry, and his voice trembled with fear.
The others, too, seemed to draw a terrifying conclusion from the mention of the 'summoning ritual.'
"It's exactly what it sounds like," Uchiha Sogetsu continued, observing the shift in their emotions. He then dropped another bombshell: "If the summoning ritual succeeds, the 'Fallen Creator' will be able to break free from the seal and descend upon this world once more."
Damn, it's really that serious!
Ōnoki almost cursed out loud, feeling his blood pressure spike. "Mr. Adam, if the Fallen Creator descends, what will happen?"
"Probably... destruction," Uchiha Sogetsu responded calmly, his tone indifferent, as if the destruction of the world didn't matter to him. That one word, "destruction," weighed heavily on everyone's minds.
Konan clenched her fists, her voice low and firm. "We have to stop the Aurora Order. We cannot let them succeed."
"Agreed."
Ōnoki looked towards 'Higanbana' (Red Spider Lily) and said in a resolute tone, "I refuse to let a Fallen Creator destroy our world."
"Agreed."
White Fang's words carried a chilling, murderous intent.
Although he didn't care much about the world, he did care about Kakashi, so he had to stop the Aurora Order!
At that moment, Orochimaru's gaze accidentally fell on a pure white cross standing within the Corpse Cathedral, right behind "Adam."
Wait... wait, is that a cross!?
Staring at the cross, a thought flashed through Orochimaru's mind like a bolt of lightning, causing his pupils to contract sharply.
The "Fallen" Creator?
The "Original" Creator?
Crosses, inverted positions, fallen, original, truth... countless thoughts erupted in his mind like thunder, boiling over and exploding!
Orochimaru shuddered violently, as if he had stumbled upon some "truth."
"That guy seems to have discovered something..."
Ōnoki, ever perceptive, quickly noticed the sudden, intense fluctuation in "Higanbana's" emotions.
"Mr. Adam, forgive my rudeness..."
Orochimaru was well aware that by asking this question, there was a high chance he would die.
But driven by his thirst for knowledge and desire to explore, he just wanted to know the truth of the world, to uncover the secrets hidden behind the unknown. This feeling was irresistible, even if it meant certain death!
He gritted his teeth, mustered all his strength, and asked the question: "Is there some kind of connection between the Original Creator and the Fallen Creator?"
Onoki, Konan, and White Fang all turned their shocked gazes toward him.
Has he lost his mind?
Although everyone had their own suspicions, to actually speak it out loud was basically a death wish!
Tap.
Tap.
Tap.
The sound of tapping on the long bronze table echoed softly.
Yet, each tap felt like a massive drum pounding heavily on everyone's hearts, an invisible pressure, like a mountain, filling the Corpse Cathedral.
Ōnoki was inwardly filled with regret, even blaming that "reckless fool" for dragging them into this mess!
After a moment of suffocating silence, Uchiha Sogetsu slowly spoke, "After the Original Creator was betrayed and fell into a deep slumber, two great wills emerged from within him."
As he spoke, it felt as though everyone's thoughts were drifting along with his voice, carried by endless waves, traversing through time and space, back to the ancient legends.
"Two wills, each holding different authorities."
"One of these wills, filled with the negative personalities of all beings, became the embodiment of extreme emotions. As a result, it went completely 'mad' and planned to devour the world created by the Creator, bringing everything back to 'one,' and thus becoming the true, Original Creator—both 'all' and 'one.'"
Now, it was clear. Everything was clear.
Orochimaru suddenly understood; he finally grasped the 'truth.'
Beside him, Ōnoki revealed a look of "just as I thought." His guesses had been correct.
'Adam' was one of the two wills born from the 'Original Creator,' a genuine divine being.
Inside the cathedral...
Everyone was shocked by the truth they had just learned. From the fragmented information, they had pieced together a startling fact.
However, before they could fully process that 'Adam' was indeed the will of the Original Creator, Uchiha Sogetsu, seated at the head of the table, dropped another bombshell.
"I gathered all of you here this time for another matter..."
Uchiha Sogetsu tapped his index finger lightly on the table, pulling everyone out of their shock and back to reality.
He lowered his gaze slightly, his tone calm as he said, "The Blasphemy Slate, which records the 'Pathway of the Gods,' has reappeared."
