Chapter 176 : Sogetsu vs Gyuki!!

A figure suddenly appeared in the sky above Konoha, surrounded by light like a savior. 

Mikoto held Itachi in her arms, staring at the figure in shock. The familiar feeling made her call out the name without thinking. 

"Is it Uchiha Sogetsu?" 

The man seemed to sense her gaze and looked back. 

Even from afar, Mikoto felt a comforting sense of security that calmed her nerves. 

"It looks like the timing of my return is perfect," Uchiha Sogetsu said, narrowing his eyes. He clenched his fists, and his chakra surged forth like a tsunami. "Now it's time to act." 

In an instant, an overwhelming amount of chakra erupted from him, almost taking a physical form. 

"Susanoo——!" 

The chakra, initially bursting forth like a wave, soon stabilized. 

From its skeletal form, it rapidly grew, becoming covered with flesh, blood, and tendons. In less than a second, it transformed into a massive humanoid figure clad in heavy armor. Everyone in Konoha watched in awe. 

Since Uchiha Madara's death, no one had witnessed Susanoo's form. 

That majestic figure appeared as if it were the embodiment of the God of Destruction—powerful and towering, with chakra that rivaled the tailed beasts, leaving the people of Konoha deeply shocked. 

But Danzo was not impressed. Having seen the legendary Uchiha Madara firsthand, he knew that the Uchiha clan possessed the Mangekyō Sharingan, beyond the usual three tomoe. "Susanoo… Uchiha Sogetsu, this guy is really…" 

At that moment, panic set in. 

Susanoo was akin to the God of Destruction, capable of reshaping the land with a single strike and wielding power equal to that of tailed beasts. 

This was why he had always been wary of the Uchiha clan. He had witnessed that terrifying power before, and now those memories resurfaced! 

A sixteen-year-old boy had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan! 

Thinking of the hatred between them, unease crept into Danzo. The joy he had felt moments ago quickly turned to fear.

Danzo glared at the golden giant with resentment in his eyes.

The golden Susanoo loomed like a mountain on the battlefield, slowly drawing the samurai sword at its side.

As Uchiha Sogetsu shouted, the massive Susanoo swung its sword upwards.

Suddenly, a sharp sound sliced through the air, overpowering even the distant thunder.

The blade struck hard, skillfully deflecting the Tailed Beast Ball away.

The force of the impact almost split the sky. At the point of collision, a massive wave of sound erupted, sending shockwaves that spread out in a perfect circle.

The ripples surged like wild waves, and the fierce air currents swirled like a hurricane, sweeping across the vast Konoha Village.

Dark clouds churned above like a whirlpool, with fierce thunder and lightning intertwining, creating a scene that looked like the sky was collapsing, deeply imprinted in everyone's minds.

Standing amidst the ruins, Susanoo seemed to silence the world for a moment.

After the waves settled, everyone looked again to see that the sword's impact had carved deep gorges in the earth, surrounded by countless ruins. The enormous golden giant stood between heaven and earth, sword raised, pointing at the tailed beast across from him.

"That person seems to be Uchiha Sogetsu!"

"Yes, I'm not mistaken; it's Uchiha Sogetsu!"

"It's really him!"

"Oh my god, Uchiha Sogetsu is here to save us!"

At that moment, Uchiha Sogetsu, who had bravely blocked the Tailed Beast Ball alone, became a true hero in everyone's eyes.

He turned the tide when things seemed hopeless, holding up a collapsing building.

"First things first," Uchiha Sogetsu said calmly, half-closing his eyes. "Return Konoha's Jinchuriki."

"Return it to you?" The Eight-Tails sneered. "If you have the guts, come and take it!"

If Susanoo were fully formed, it would be more terrifying, but unfortunately, it was only in its fourth form, lacking the destructive power and chakra of the tailed beasts.

However, the Eight-Tails would soon pay a heavy price for its arrogance.

With a swift motion, Susanoo held its sword and deflected the attack. Uchiha Sogetsu coldly commanded, "Kill!"

In a flash, a barely noticeable blade of light cut through the air.

Before the Eight-Tails could react, it suddenly found its left wrist severed.

The sound of the heavy limb hitting the ground shook the earth and kicked up dust. Realizing what had just happened, the Eight-Tails lowered its head in shock, staring at its smooth, severed wrist. Its mind went blank. "What just happened?"

They were clearly far apart, and neither side seemed to make a move.

But then, without warning, his wrist was suddenly severed! 

"Thank you," Uchiha Sogetsu said calmly.

The Eight-Tails felt insulted by his cool response. 

"Hey, don't be so arrogant!" it roared, anger flaring in its eyes. In an instant, its missing left arm regenerated. "I'll show you what a real tailed beast can do!"

"I'm curious—on what basis do you think you can defeat me?" 

Uchiha Sogetsu's gaze remained indifferent, his Sharingan spinning. He infused his whole body with chakra and said softly, "Well, if that's the case, I'll let you see for yourself."

"Is it the same trick again? Do you think I'll fall for it a second time?!" 

The Eight-Tails leaped away, creating distance. "I don't know what your trick is, but I have the advantage now!"

"Open your eyes." 

Uchiha Sogetsu's eye power surged, causing blood to flow from his eyes as he formed hand seals.

Suddenly, Susanoo, which had only two arms, grew four more, forming seals with all six arms simultaneously.

The Eight-Tails felt a deep sense of unease rising in its heart. 

"Because my next move will be incredible!" 

With a calm gaze and an indifferent tone, Uchiha Sogetsu sounded like a god looking down on mere insects: "Forbidden Technique: World-Erasing Sword!"
