Chapter 107 : Side Quest Completed!!

It was hard to tell whether it was fear or something else that drove the Third Mizukage to attack.

In the next instant, the chakra gathered in his mouth was forcefully released.

A deafening roar echoed through the air!

The concentrated water flow condensed into a beam of light.

All its force and power were concentrated into a chakra-infused line, resembling a thin, light blue streak. 

It slashed a trench several meters wide across the choppy lake's surface with incredible sharpness, cleanly dividing the water on either side.

Uchiha Sogetsu swiftly leaned to the side, evading by several meters using his instant body technique.

The razor-thin torrent passed by, instantly fracturing the hard rock bed beneath the lake.

This was almost his last resort. If he couldn't defeat Uchiha Sogetsu with this, he'd be in serious trouble!

The water blade swept across the lake.

Wherever it passed, waves collapsed and water churned, cutting through the flow with astonishing precision.

Uchiha Sogetsu leaned back 90 degrees, narrowly avoiding the water blade that swept past his face. Seizing the momentum, he flipped over and sped across the water's surface towards the Third Generation Mizukage.

"Are you planning to charge straight at me?" the Third Mizukage asked, his expression cold.

"Foolish move. Watch me cut you down!" he threatened, ready to split Uchiha Sogetsu in two with his water blade.

But just as he was about to strike, the Mizukage suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head. Uncontrollable rage and madness surged through him, swiftly turning into deep sorrow and depression.

The overwhelming sadness abruptly transformed into bizarre joy. The Mizukage laughed hysterically, tears mixing with his laughter.

"Hahahaha. Wuuuu."

"Damn it! What's happening? Ahhhh, I'll kill you!"

"No, Uchiha Sogetsu is not the enemy?"

"Yes, he is the enemy!"

The Mizukage felt as though countless voices were clamoring in his mind, causing unbearable noise.

He clutched his head in agony, struggling to maintain his ninjutsu. Every nerve in his brain felt like it was on fire, overwhelming his senses. 

It was like hot steel was piercing and twisting inside his skull, making it impossible to focus.

"Genjutsu. Damn it!" he realized, understanding that he was likely trapped in an illusion.

He tried to disrupt his chakra flow to break free, but the excruciating pain persisted, unaffected by his efforts.

"What have you done, Uchiha Sogetsu?" exclaimed the Third Mizukage.

Veins bulged on the Mizukage's forehead, his face turned red, and he doubled over in pain. "What kind of ninjutsu is this?!"

Uchiha Sogetsu remained silent, slowing his pace as he walked away.

"I'm worthless!"

"No, I'm just Danzo's puppet!"

"Being Mizukage is exhausting. I might as well be dead."

Countless chaotic thoughts overwhelmed the Third Mizukage, driving him deeper into madness. 

Each attempt to resist was met with more intrusive thoughts, whispering and pushing him towards insanity.

"Argh!"

In desperation, the Third Mizukage bit his tongue, using pain to focus his mind. He gathered his chakra swiftly, forming hand seals. "Water Style: Dragon Burst!"

But as he concentrated, ready to unleash the jutsu, confusion struck.

How did he perform ninjutsu again?

Across from him, Uchiha Sogetsu mirrored his seals, his expression indifferent. "Water Style: Dragon Burst!"

"No, it can't be!" The Third Mizukage's eyes widened in horror. "That's my secret technique!"

Unfortunately, the scene that followed confirmed his worst fears: Uchiha Sogetsu was indeed using his own secret technique.

Uchiha Sogetsu might have smiled and shaken his head if he had heard his voice.

Of course, that was impossible; copying the secret technique with the Sharingan was even more so. His ability to use the Third Mizukage's secret technique stemmed from his recent use of the Beyonder item, the "Tinder"!

Before the Third Mizukage could unleash his ninjutsu, Sogetsu stole his "secret technique".

A deluge of water coalesced into dozens of ferocious dragons, bursting through the lake with heads held high, hurtling down upon him with relentless force.

The Third Mizukage was struck by several water dragons, his body ragdolling against the rock wall.

The raging water dragons flipped over and surged down like a speeding truck carrying tons of weight, crashing directly into his body. 

The powerful impact instantly shattered his internal organs, tearing through muscles and bones.

Sogetsu's eyes shimmered as he gazed at the dying Third Mizukage, barely standing: "How does it feel to experience the ultimate turmoil of emotions and desires?"

"Uchiha Sogetsu..."

The Third Mizukage raised his head, half-smiling, half-crying, eyes filled with suppressed madness, and spoke hoarsely: "Who... are you?"

"Clearly, I am human."

Sogetsu tried to adjust his glasses, only to realize they had long been lost. He brushed back his broken hair and said slowly: 

"Yes, for now, at least." As he finished speaking, his hand, like a sharp sword, pierced through the Third Mizukage's chest!

Blood dripped down his arm.

The Third Mizukage's eyes dimmed, his breath fading reluctantly.
