Failure in Genin Exam

"Haruno Ichika, Sarurobi Tobirama, and Shimura Hashirama as Team 16 under Hatake Kakashi."

I was stunned by getting Kakashi. I could only think, 'Oh shit.'

Sarutobi Tobirama and Shimura Hashirama, a very original choice of name, are the last and first in boys respectively. I haven't really cared about what was happening in the class, but those two are always at each other's neck.

"Ichika-chan! We are on the same team!"

"Get away from her, you bastard!"

And they are just like canon Sakura and Ino when they were kids. Honestly, I would like to see who came up with this team set-up.

I went into meditation to go into my mindscape.

Inside my mindscape, there were Sakura trees all around, with a small house in which I have stored my this life's memories and everything I have learnt till now, making it extremely calming. I have decided to make something like Inner Sakura which expelled Ino from her mind. I will task her to protect my mind, and maybe she will be able to help me in achieving Sage Mode? I don't really know, but I can certainly try.

Using small amount of Yin Chakra, I tried creating something like a Dragon construct that can scare away the mind readers. How should she look? Pink Dragon? With emerald stripes? Should I make an Easten Dragon or Western Dragon?

After thinking of what I wanted, I created a small Yin Chakra construct, a cute pink coloured eastern baby dragon, with emerald stripes.

"Huh? Isn't it too simple?"

But that would be me being delusional. As soon as I stopped imagining it, it broke apart and the Yin Chakra scattered.

"Sigh."

Oh well. I will keep trying it. If anything, it will help me in my eventual Byakugou and improve my concentration.

I came out of my meditation, and those two idiots were fighting and only half an hour passed. 2.5 hours more.

This time, I tried to go into my mindscape with one eye open, so that I have half concentration in the real world and half in my mindscape.

But nothing happened. Oh well. I will just keep trying.

Soon, two and half hours passed without any success, and Kakashi came to get us.

"Meet me at the rooftop."

And to the rooftop we went, with me constantly ignoring these virmins.

"Now, Introduce yourselves."

"Huh? How!?"

Tobirama asked. Seriously, he is tarnishing the great genius's name. He should be ashamed of himself.

"Well, name, like, dislikes, dreams, all of that?"

"Then I will go first! I am Sarutobi Tobirama, I like ice cream, and I absolutely hate vegetables! My dream is to become the Hokage! And become just like 2nd Hokage Tobirama!"

"Then me. I am Shimura Hashirama, and I want to awaken Wood Style."

Yeah. Go to your clan head Danzo then. Willing experimental subjects are always welcome.

"Then I will introduce myself. I am Haruno Ichika. I like graceful and beautiful sceneries and training with my little sister, and I absolutely despise annoying people."

I glanced at both of them.

"My dream is to make Tsunade-sama look lika child in front of my strength"

And not allow SasuSaku to come into existence. Sarada will not be born. Honestly, Rock Lee would be a much better choice.

"Alright. Come to the training ground 3 tomorrow at 7am. I would advise you to skip breakfast, because you might puke."

"Huh!? Why!?"

"Well, I would like to tell you that you are still not genins. For becoming genins, you need to pass another test. And only one-third teams passes the exams."

"WHAT THE HELL!?"

"NO ONE TOLD US THAT!"

"Well then, good luck for tomorrow."

Giving us an eye smile, Kakashi disappeared. And I walked away too before those idiots could complain loudly.

(Next Day)

At 10, Kakashi finally arrived.

"YOU ARE LATE!"

"YEAH!"

"Well, there was a black cat bla bla bla."

"Now, here are two bells, and those who get these will pass and the third one will return to the academy. Bla bla bla."

I have decided to just tell these idiots the motive of the exam. I will have to put up with them for about 6 months, but I am sure that I will become a Chunin on my first try.

"Start!"

But all of my plans were shattered before I could even start, because of these two idiots.

THEY JUST ATTACKED EACH OTHER!!!

"IDIOTS!"

Kakashi came in between them, and took out both swiftly. Kakashi was literally glaring at them menacingly. And I was too!

I punched them both, and Tobirama's tooth flew away.

"You two, you just attacked each other. IDIOTS! I am failing because of you two!"

And they had the galls to show Pikachu faces!

"Well Ichika, why do you think you also failed? You can try to get the bells from me."

I looked into Kakashi's eye, and sighed.

"The motive of the exam is recognisable to even toddlers. Two bells, three members. It is just to turn us against each other. I was going to tell these idiots because I knew they wouldn't get it, but the attacked each other as soon as the fight started! Teamwork? They are the lowest of the lowest to attack each other instead of the Jonin who we have to defeat.

Who gave me these teammates anyway!? I would like to punch his)her face hard!"

Kakashi eye-smiled at me.

"The Hokage."

"..."

"Say, can we get a second chance?"

"The moment they attacked each other, no. No you can either go back to the Academy or apply for genin reserves and be on your own."

"But I have very good techniques! I am sure you will be impressed when you see them."

"I can't do anything.

YOU FAIL."

And Kakashi went away. Ugggh! Why did this happen to me!? What face will I show my parents!? Rookie of the Year just failed!

Uggh! Maybe it is for better? Lee's class is one year younger than me. If I repeat the academy, I will get Guy-sensei as a teacher. Sigh...

I glared at these two waste of space, and left. I will just train more during this extra year.

I headed to the Academy, and academy-sensei found me as I was heading to the staff room. He looked stunned.

"Don't tell me Kakashi failed you too!?"

"I got the motive of his pitiful exam as soon as he said it. But before I could do anything, those two idiots attached each other. The exam didn't even last a second."

"Sigh. I am sorry. It happened because I didn't choose your teammates correctly. I will ask Hokage-sama if anything can be done. You are more than capable of being a Genin."

"Sensei, I will just repeat a year. But can you please help me talk to Hokage-sama?"

"Are you sure you want to repeat a year?"

"Well, I have heard that Neji is a genius, and has been on the top of his class everytime. Even if you talk to Hokage-sama, I will most likely be placed in a team which has lost a member or something. And since Neji is the nephew of the clan head, he will most likely get a very good Jonin-sensei. So I will just wait a year."

"...If you want that, fine. Anyway, I was headed to the Hokage Office anyway. Do you want to come? He isn't busy right now."

"Thank you sensei."

"No need to thank me. I should have stopped the Hokage when he was putting you on Kakashi's team. He has been assigned a genin team 3 times, and he has failed all of them. Now it's four times. Anyway, come with me."

"Yeah."

Let's just try to get atleast something on fuinjutsu from Hiruzen.
