Chapter 5

The grandmother, after taking Izuna into her arms looked at his cute sleeping face and while she was looking at him, Izuna suddenly opened his eyes and the first thing that came out was a.

GIGGLE!!

Izuna giggled out loudly immediately upon seeing his grandmother's face and then freed his bounded arms and touched her face and this action of his spark a long forget sensation in the grandmother's heart.

A sensation that she felt whenever she took hold of her infant kids back in the days before they all mysteriously got themselves killed while on a mission.

"... He looks almost just like you when you were a baby but more energetic."

The grandmother muttered these words to her son who was looking at his mother in silence with a smile on his face as he could now see his mother smile for the first time in over half a decade.

The family stayed like this for a while until the grandmother sensed that Izuna was hungry when he started crying and intelligently placed his hands on his belly telling them what he wanted.

This prompted the mother to hand over Izuna back to dad and leave to look for milk for him and with the grandmother gone, the father and son shared a bonding time with Yagami playing around with Izuna until his mother came back with the milk and feed it to Izuna who almost immediately went back to sleep after having his fill.

"Well mother, I will be taking my leave as I have to report my return to the clan head and the Hokage but I will return later in the evening."

Yagami got up from his seat after seeing Izuna go to sleep once again and left after telling his mom where he was going. The mother, now left alone with his grandson once again reminisced about the old days when she had all her family together with her and this once again made her tear up however unlike before, she cried this time until she had gotten everything out of her system.

She then got up from her seat and placed Izuna on her bed and left only to return a few minutes later with the crib that Yagami used when he was a baby and placed Izuna in.

She looked at him from above in silence as the time proceeded forward.

[Two months later]

[Konoha, Uchiha Clan Settlement]

CLINK!... CLANK!!

Darkness covered the entire land of fire and within the confinement of the Uchiha Clan's settlement one could hear the sound of metal hitting metal and taking a closer look at the area where the sound was coming from, one would immediately recognize it as Izuna's grandmother's and the sound was coming from blacksmith shopping.

CLINK!!... CLANK!!

Taking a closer look inside the shop, one could see Yagami's mother skillfully hammering at a hot metal with amazing precision thanks to her having a fully matured Sharingan activated and each strike that she made shaped the metal into a katana.

It has been two months and a few weeks since Izuna was born and there has been nothing interesting that has happened in the village except for the birth of the clan head's second son who was named after the third Hokage's deceased father, Sasuke.

This made the kid's name Sasuke Uchiha and not Sarutobi Sasuke.

Anyway, as stated before nothing impressive happened in the village except this but that doesn't refer to Izuna and his grandmother as the two have been doing great in the last two months.

Izuna's presence in her life brought back the joy that the grandmother had lost with the loss of 99% of her family and she in turn took this chance to take care of Izuna to her max capability and that includes showering him with love that a normal and sane mother will give their kid.

Izuna in turn made her relieve as much of her pain as she could making them become co-dependent on each other with a very strong bond. The same goes for Yagami however not as strong as the bonds between the grandson and grandmother.

CLINK!!... CLANK!!

Anyway, come back to the present. Midori, which is the name of the grandmother continued hammering down on the metal as she shaped it into the katana that her client ordered.

This went on for a while as she went through the entire process of forging a sword by herself however she suddenly froze in place when she was about to put the final touches to the sword.

She then turned her head towards a certain part of the village with shock in her eyes while muttering to herself.

"T-This sinister chakra!... There is no doubt about it, it's the chakra of the..."

BOOM!!... ROAR!!

Midari wasn't able to finish her sentence as a very thick cloud of smoke burst out somewhere near the Uchiha compound and from the smoke came the loud and ferocious roar of a beast and when the smoke cleared the people laid eyes on the creature responsible for the roar.

The creature is a red-orange coloured kitsune with black fur around its red eyes that stretch up to its ears and nine long swiping tails. It has the upper-body structure of a human, complete with opposable thumbs on its clawed hands and stands at the height that dwarfs every single building in the village with a size roughly equaling the Hokage Rock.

Looking into the huge eyes of this creature, one could see the three tomoe of the Sharingan in its eyes.

"Aghh!! It's the nine tails!!"

Chaos ensued within the village as the strongest of all the nine-tailed beast started going on a rampage, killing people and destroying things with every move that he made.

The shinobi of the village soon took action and confronted the beast with the thought of death in their minds while others took care of evacuating civilians to safety and while this was going on, Midari had Izuna wrapped in multiple cloths in her arms and could seen running away from the general area of destruction and her speed, is something to marvel at.
