Chapter 92: Saving Pakura (3)

"Ninja art: Shadow Shuriken Jutsu" Ken shouted loudly as the couple of shurikens that he had thrown earlier multiplied and clashed against the dozens of shurikens that were thrown by the hiding mist shinobi.

He along with the rest of his team jumped out of their hiding spot and surrounded Pakura while Shikuro appeared at the back of the mist shinobi who had just stabbed Pakura.

"Leaf shinobi?" The Mist shinobi shouted in alarm as he dodged Shikuro's outstretched purple arm.

"You are Shikuro Aburame! Why are you meddling with the Kiri-Suna affairs? Do you want to start another war?" The Mist Shinobi shouted as he defended himself.

"Does it matter? You are already invading the land of fire and fighting Leaf shinobi. You already want a war." Shikuro said as with a swift speed he punched the Mist shinobi who was caught off guard but still managed to block the attack on instinct with his arm.

Seeing this Shikuro had a grin on his face while the mist shinobi had an expression of shock as he realized his mistake. He screamed in pain that jolted awake the mist shinobi on the top of the mountain who wanted to analyze the situation before acting.

The man's arm started crumbling and then his shoulder but before it could reach any further, Shikuri slit through the guy's neck ending his suffering.

"Curse these leaf bastards. There are only four of them. I don't see anyone else. Sensors?" The Anbu who was leading the mission asked the sensors.

A sensor shouted, "BEHIND US!!"

The earth below them shifted as it started breaking apart. The rocks started crumbling and started falling. He saw the Leaf shinobi retreating with Pakura.

The Anbu seeing the situation used an ice-style jutsu to create a foothold for his fellow shinobi but some of them still fell down the mountain.

But nothing much to worry about, they were shinobi and were easily going to survive through such situations.

"Go kill Pakura. She is too important and dangerous to be left alive." He ordered and shouted to the shinobi that had fallen and were using ropes to slow down their fall or some other method.

The Anbu then looked at the one responsible for all this mess along with the three dozen shinobi that were still on the mountain.

"Jiraiya of the sanin, You have got to be kidding me!" The Anbu cursed

"Get back in formation. We have a difficult fight up ahead." Hearing this, the Mist shinobi went back to their original positions.

Jiraiya did not interrupt them as he wanted to give the genins some additional time to retreat further.

'That brat. Such a devious kid. I can't believe that I followed up with his plan. He wanted Pakura to get stabbed by the Mist shinobi so he could save her and then become a hero in her eyes. He might become an even better writer than I Jiraiya, the toad sage.' Jiraiya mused as he thought about the plan that Ken told him to make an impression on Pakura.

Jiraiya wanted to immediately go and help Pakura as soon as he saw the mist shinobi trying to stab her but Ken had convinced him to wait to let the mist shinobi speak his villain speech which was how they were planning to betray her and how Suna was the ones who planned this.

Jiraiya agreed to his plan and thinking. He knew that it would be difficult to convince Pakura that the Mist were going to betray them. Even if they make her manage to believe this, She would not believe that it was all Suna's plan to do so.

'Thankfully, He did not go for the head, heart, or the neck likely to make her death even slower. I hope Kabuto can heal her or sensei is going to kill me for following the plan made by a genin.' Jiraiya made quick hand signs as he saw the Mist shinobi charging at him without any fear.

'Earth style: Swamp of the Underworld'

---Meanwhile---

The three genins had retreated with Pakura's injured body a little further away from the battlefield.

"Kabuto, heal her. Don't let such a good shinobi die from such treacherous people." Ken said heroically like he was a knight in shining armor saving the princess.

Kabuto and Itachi tried not to show any reaction to it but their eyes still twitched seeing Ken's horrible acting.

Kabuto used his healing jutsu to heal Pakura. The mist shinobi had not targeted any of her vital parts and instead chose to let her die slowly.

Kabuto while one of the best healers among genin and maybe even Chunin could not fully heal her. She had already lost too much blood and her organs were damaged pretty badly. She could only be properly healed by some experienced jonin iryo nin back at the village.

He still healed what he could before wrapping her with bandages so that no more of her blood was lost. He also gave her some energy pills to at least have some energy due to the blood loss.

Pakura recovered enough to talk as she looked at the kids in front of her "Leaf brats, Why?"

"Why what?" Ken asked giving his most 'childlike dumb' expression.

Pakura gritted her teeth and asked "Why did you save me? I am a sand shinobi even my own village betrayed me."
