Jiraiya was sitting in the Hokage's office in front of Sasuke and the rest of the ANBU, "How strong were they?" Souei stepped up, "The member we fought, Hidan, was not very strong but had a very annoying ability, but I believe any one of us could have beat him." Jiraiya nodded and then waited for Sasuke's answer. "The one we fought, Kakuzu, was strong but not stronger than me, we won without me using the curse mark, but I believe I am the only member who could have won in a head-on fight." Jiraiya nodded, "That's what I was afraid of. I had the Yamanaka clan search Hidan's memories, now we know for sure how strong they were in comparison. Sasuke, I know you want to go after Itachi but there is a problem with that." Sasuke's eyes darkened, "What is the problem."

Jiraiya coughed. "The Akatsuki always travel in groups of two, Itachi's partner is known as Kisame. From what we know Kisame is on the same level as Itachi, who I believe could easily take out the rest of you." Sasuke nodded, "So what do we do?" "I can have Naruto go with you, he should be able to fight with Kisame and win."

Souei had never heard of Naruto, "So that would mean this Naruto guy could beat all of us alone?" Jiraiya responded confidently, "If he went full power, he could probably kill you all in the blink of an eye." "Where is he?" "he is out on a mission right now but he should be back soon." "Do you mind if we test him?" Souei did not completely trust this, of course, he trusted the Hokage, but he didn't think an unknown person could take them all out in a blink of an eye.

"If that will make you feel better then you can." "Yes, Hokage. Can I test it anyway I feel?" "Yes, that is fine." Souei nodded. "So when will Naruto and I be going after Itachi?" to be honest Jiraiya didn't know the answer to that, "The chunin exams are coming up and they will probably enter the exams, but if we can find Itachi's location then Naruto may have to not enter and enter at a later time." Sasuke nodded, he understood that it would take time to find Itachi and that Naruto had things he had to do other than help him with his mission. Sasuke then left the Hokage's office.

The next day Naruto and his team came back from their mission, they were escorting a stripper to the land of tea, she had valuable information on the leaf. Naruto and team 12 were at the Hokage's office to report the mission. "The mission was a success, there were a few bandits we assume were hired from the Stone, but they were no issue." Jiraiya nodded and read the report given to him by Naruto. "You guys can leave, but Naruto you need to stay here, we need to talk." team 12 left, and then it was only Naruto and Jiraiya in the room.

"So how were the ladies over there, I heard they are amazing!" Naruto sighed, "I know you didn't keep me here to talk about that, what's the problem." Jiraiya leaned back in his seat, "Well I thought we could have some small talk. But now the real issue, it's Itachi and Kisame, I need you to go with Sasuke to fight them at whatever time, so I need to know, will your team be participating in the chunin exams?"

"Going after the Akatsuki? Doesn't Sasuke have an ANBU team for that?" "They are not strong enough to handle them." "Are they not the best of the best." "Yes they are, but you are much better. Out of the whole village, I would put you as the second strongest." "Behind you?" Jiraiya nodded, "No, Might Guy" "I didn't know he was that strong. Anyways, yes I will have them participate in the exams."

Jiraiya sighed, "Would it be ok if you couldn't go." "if possible I would like to watch them." Jiraiya chuckled, "I thought you hated them." Naruto smiled a little, "They have grown on me, what can I say." Jiraiya got more serious, "I hope it will be possible for you to watch them, but if something comes up, I need you to be able to leave at any moment. Keep in mind this would be a very important S-rank mission." Naruto frowned, "If I need to leave I can do so." Jiraiya nodded, "Good, you can leave now."

Naruto walked out with his backpack on his back, it was a long mission so he had to bring multiple things, it was quite heavy. The whole time he was walking home he couldn't help but notice someone following him. 'Damn, I'm already in a bad mood and now I have a stalker that's not Hinata.'

Souei was tracking Naruto and spying on him, 'it looks like he hasn't noticed me, he doesn't seem very strong to me.' he saw Naruto stop so he stopped on the roof, he saw Naruto drop his backpack off his shoulder then he was gone, 'where did he go!' the moment the backpack landed he was on the floor with his face shoved into the ground!

'What insane speed, I couldn't even see it!' "Who are you and why have you been following me?" "It seems like the Hokage didn't lie about you, I am from the ANBU and I was testing your strength." Naruto shook his head, 'now I know why he said they were too weak.' "Well if that's all, I will be leaving, bye." he felt the weight come off his body and then he was gone. Souei had been training with Usagi for a long time and her speed never even came close to Narutos, "What a beast, I'll remember not to piss him off."

When Naruto got home he was in a bad mood. Not because his house was bad, in fact, his house was very nice, after he returned from Mount Myoboku he got himself a better house to live in, it was the same one his parents lived in, once he got back Jiraiya gave him the keys. He was in a bad mood because he might not be able to see his team in the exams, like he said to Jiraiya, they had grown on him and now he even liked them. He would definitely kill that Kisame bastard if he made him miss the exams!

That's the end of this chapter, the ending was kind of filler but I thought it turned out well. Sorry Axes for not using your idea but I wanted to get to this arc, I had been wanting to do it for a while.

I looked up some vs battles and came across a fanfic on here that was called 'multiverse world tournament' but it hasn't been updated in years, so I thought about doing something like that.

I would need some suggestion battles from you, I'm only doing to do characters I know so I can do them well. If you list any Bleach or Dragon Ball characters then tell me their abilities because I don't like Dragon Ball and it's been a long time since I have seen Bleach.
