"I apologize, but you'll need to inquire with the Village Chief for more information. Proceed straight from here; the largest and most prosperous house belongs to the Village Chief," explained the man before swiftly departing. Had the person facing him not been a ninja, he wouldn't have felt the need to offer any explanation to a stranger.

Sakumo found the man's behavior rather peculiar. Nonetheless, he didn't press the man for further details. He began making his way toward the Village Chief's location. Along his path, he encountered several other villagers. Similar to the initial man, they were eager to greet Sakumo upon noticing his Jonin vest. However, the moment they spotted the child in Sakumo's arms, they scattered as though confronted by a plague.

Sakumo then looked at the child and said with a smile, "Kid, it seems that the villagers of this village fear you quite a lot."

Soon, Sakumo reached the house of the Village Chief and announced his arrival, "My name is Hatake Sakumo, a Jonin from Konoha village, and I am here to inquire about information regarding this child."

The Village Chief, who was inside his house working on some papers, heard this and looked towards Tanaka, asking, "Hmm? A Jonin from Konoha? And which child is he talking about?"

"I have no idea," replied Tanaka.

"Let's go and see. We can't neglect a Jonin from Konoha. Prepare well for his arrival. I will greet him myself," said the Village Chief.

Tanaka nodded and left to do just that, while the Village Chief went outside his house and saw Sakumo standing with his back turned. The Village Chief greeted him humbly with a smile, "Greetings, Jonin from Konoha. It's an honor to host a Jonin from Konoha. Please come inside; we will talk there, and I will do my best to provide you with whatever information you need."

Sakumo then turned around, and as soon as the village chief saw his demon son, the smile on his face disappeared.

"I have been noticing this ever since I entered this village; everyone runs away in fear after seeing this child. I want to know everything about this child," said Sakumo. This time his tone was serious, as he had grown annoyed and irritated by the lack of responses to his question from so many people.

Hearing the seriousness in Sakumo's tone, the Village Chief said, "There's not much to say about this child. He is a demon child who brought only ominousness with his birth. So, as the village chief of Mugigakure and on the demands of the villagers, I expelled this child from the village."

"Are you sane? What are you talking about? He is just a newborn, and where are his parents? I want to talk to them," said Sakumo.

"You are already talking to him," replied the Village Chief.

"What? You are his father, and you didn't even flinch while saying this," said Sakumo, anger evident in his voice. He is already 32 years old, and until now he has been unable to become a father due to the weakness of his wife. He never resented his wife for this, but he also wanted someone to call him father. Someone just abandoned his child like this, and it angered Sakumo.

"Such a boy can't be my son; he killed his mother as soon as he was born. Thunder fell on our fields, burning them. Many people died yesterday while trying to save their fields, which were burned. But all of this stopped as soon as he was expelled from the village," said the Village Chief.

"How can you abandon your child like this? Aren't you his father?" said Sakumo.

"Do you see any similarity between us?" said the Village Chief.

The Village Chief was right; he didn't resemble the child at all. The child had six eyes and a red mark on his face, making him look eerie. In contrast, the Village Chief was a handsome and well-proportioned man.

"But even so, you can't abandon a newborn like this. You should take care of this child; after all, you are his father," said Sakumo.

"As a ninja of Konoha, I helped you in every way I could, but you can't force us like this. This child has been expelled from the village after considering the opinions of all the villagers and my order as the Village Chief," said the Village Chief, resolute in his decision.

After the Village Chief said this, other villagers also began gathering outside the Village Chief's house with sticks and their farming tools.

Sakumo sighed and shook his head. "This is human nature. For their own selfish well-being, humans can resort to any heights of cruelty."

Sakumo knew that this village had no place for this child, so he walked away from the Village Chief's house. As he walked away from the village, he looked at the child and said, "It seems that the people in this village don't like you."

As soon as Sakumo said this, the child held onto his clothes. Sakumo smiled and said, "You want to go with me? Okay, I will take you with me."

While looking at the boy, Sakumo muttered, "Why not adopt him as my son? Kiyomi will be happy too. But I must ask her for her opinion on this matter."

"Let's go…" Sakumo wanted to say something enthusiastic to the child, but he noticed that the child was sleeping. He stopped himself, thinking, 'He must have been awake the whole night due to the rain and being wet.' After that, Sakumo started traveling towards Konoha, running at a moderate speed on the ground instead of using trees to jump around. He didn't want to wake the child up.
