Ch. 5 Enemy?

"Y-You blind bastard! Swinging that sword around willy nilly!" Asuma was understandably angry that a sword slashed a few inches from his face, but Chiba didn't care.

"Your breaking the law by ignoring the restaurants policy and disturbing it's customers, please calm down." Chiba said as he started walking away.

Chiba was a convict in his past life, not from a violent crime but because he embezzled from his company. After getting arrested, he religiously read up on the laws to know how to bend and not break them.

So In this life, Chiba had paid Koizumi in candy in order to read him the entire law book and he committed them to mind.

"Even if the Uchiha are Konoha's policing force, you are not one of them! It's a shock that your even allowed to be a ninja!" Asuma yelled out, as he grabbed tightly on Chiba's shoulder.

"I didn't expect that as the Hokage's son and a Chunin, that you'd be so cowardly to bully a blind boy that hasn't even stepped foot into the ninja academy on top of breaking the non smoking Law so openly." By now everyone in the restaurant stopped eating and watched the argument.

"Also your mouth smells like shit and the second-hand smoke that your coughing up smells even worse, it causing people to cough!" Chiba said as he pointed at Koizumi, before easily swiping Asuma's hand off of his shoulders with no problem.

Chiba was accustomed to be looked down upon in his past life, so being know as the Uchihas mistake didn't bother him whatsoever but Koizumi Is his sister! She and her family looked after him and showered him in love, he won't allow her to be wronged!

"Hold your tongue, no eyed freak!" Asuma was extremely angry. Not only did the blind Uchiha slice his cigarette out Infront of everyone, he dared to question his fathers competence and called Asuma a bully!

No matter who is right or wrong in this matter, since he insulted the hokages teaching Asuma felt the need had to handle this properly.

This is not only a matter of preserving face in front of a woman you like, but also a matter of the Hokage's face and Sarutobi clan. Asuma was similar to Itachi, in that they were the represt of their clan when they left their compounds being the probable heirs to their clans.

Although Asuma and his father, Hiruzen, were on bad terms because his father was always at work, he still couldn't allow someone to disrespect him. Especially the blind Uchiha!

Asuma's face was red in anger as he started reaching for his knives, only to see a silver light flash before his eyes.

He thought that he saw chiba's hand move, but when he looked at them they were still where they were on his cane. When all of a sudden-

The cigarette on his mouth suddenly expanded as their was now 4 cuts long ways along the horizontal of the cigarette, the cuts ended half a centimeter before they cut into his lips.

Asuma felt fear as he saw the tobbaco slowly falling from the now cut up cigarette.

"Y-you damn blind Uchiha, how dare you to try to sneak attack me! A kid ostracized by his own clan actually came to provoke me, are you tired of living!?" Asuma desperately wanted to save his face in front of kurenai, causing him to fail to notice the level of skill and control in Chiba's technique at all.

Asuma continued reached for the kunai in his pouch, only for the cane in Chiba's hand to come slamming into him.

*Bang*

The cane connected and Sarutobi Asuma was knocked into the air by Chiba, landing on a table completely smashing it.

The sudden noise attracted the eyes of everyone around him to stare, even those out of the restaurant turned to the noise. Under the eyes of the crowd, Asuma endured the pain in his chest and tried to stand up. However, the tip of Chiba's blade was already at his throat!

"I advise you not to stand up. This time, I used the sheath of my blade, next time I might not be so gracious...." Chiba said simply.

This only seemed to anger Asuma even more! He started to stand up, even if the knife was on his neck, he didn't think Chiba had the guts to cut it down and he was right.

The sword at his neck slight moved, preventing it from cutting into his neck causing Asuma to smirk. After all Asuma is the son of Hokage, even if he is rebellious he was still the child of the most powerful person in the village.

'This cripple dared to sneak attack me! If I can get my weapon out then I'd have no problem stabbing him in th-' Asuma's mind came to a sudden stop when he looked up at Chiba.

He saw a complete calm face, devoid of emotions and despite the fact that Chiba clearly covered his eyes with a black cloth, Asuma felt an overwhelming sense of being looked down upon.

That kind of creeping feeling completely uprooted Asuma's courage in an instant as a premonition that if he really stood up, his head would be up severed from the rest of his body as Chiba unleashed his bloodlust on Asuma.

Asuma gritted his teeth as he looked to the side with a horrified expression at kurenai and then looked back at Chiba. After an internal struggling for a while, he finally reached a conclusion.

"Just you wait for me! I'll be back" Asuma said wanting to leave, but the tip of Chibas blade dug slightly into his neck as a trace of blood ran down the skin.

This made Asuma, who was only twelve years old, even more frightened.

"And what is it that I must wait for? Will you come sneak attack me? Will you come for my family? Why should I let you leave after promising to harm me..." Chiba said, knowing full well he couldn't injure Asuma, let alone kill him. He just wanted to put fear in him.

"I-I wasnt gonna do that, I promise..." Asuma said desperately.

Chiba knew he was saying this to get out of this situation but he couldn't do anything more to him. Under the gaze of everyone in the restaurant, Asuma gave an employee a coin pouch and quickly left.

The people around were dumbfounded by what they saw, Asuma was the son of Hokage. A question burned in the mind of everybody who witnessed the encounter.

'Is Asuma so weak that he can't beat a blind Academy student or are the Uchiha so strong that even born blind they are unmatched?'

Chiba sheathed his blade, leaned on the cane, and started exploring his way back to his seat.

The people around were a little shocked watching Chiba cautiously searching for the directions of his seat. They already knew he was blind, they just couldn't believe that a blind man moved like that.

Is this kid really someone who just cut down Asuma's cigarette with such precision, moving quicker than the chunin could react? Is he really blind?
