Chapter-46 : Talk

"Sir, The Konoha envoys have come, they are waiting in the lounge" The Kazekage's secretary spoke up as she presented a file to Gaara.

Gaara looked at the file in front of him as he saw the familiar photo of Guy being attached to it.

Gaara shook his head a bit to clear the nostalgia as a serious expression donned his face.

"Lets go"

Hiro, who was chatting along with Kurenai and Guy felt a huge amount of Chakra coming closer and closer as he instinctively looked towards the entrance.

Gaara, who was covered in traditional Kazekage attire entered the room as Hiro took a reading.

"What a monster...." Hiro thought as he felt the chakra in the air vibrating, changing due to Gaara's presence itself.

'That's definitely Mid-Kage level chakra right there' Hiro thought.

Gaara wasn't no Tsunade with absolute control over his chakra to hide it, rather, he didn't hide it at all, his chakra had an unruly and almost animalistic vibe to it.

'But that should be it' Hiro thought.

Although Gaara possessed, almost cheating amount of chakra at such a young age, his other stats weren't up to par yet.

His physicality hadn't fully developed yet, he was mostly a Kage only because of his absurd chakra amount.

Although not a proper Kage, Hiro wasn't be 10% sure of even leveling the field with him in a 1v1.

Yes he could escape Gaara easily, but he would still be hard pressed to defeat him.

Looking at the strange atmosphere developing, Hiro broke the Ice as he said "Greetings, Kazekage Sama" 

"Greeting to you guys too, how was your trip leading up to Suna? All fine I guess?" Gaara said as both him and his secretary sat opposite to the three of them.

"It was all fine, Hokage sama also sent her greetings" Kurenai said as she took out a scroll and handed it with both hands to Gaara's secretary. 

"It contains Konoha's share for jointly organizing this times Chunin exams" Kurenai said as Gaara looked surprised at that.

He had fully expected Konoha to ride free this Chunin exams.

"Thanks, I'll send a letter expressing Sunagakure's gratitude" Gaara said as he then came forward a bit and said in a serious expression 

"I'll ask you guys directly, what's the situation with Akatsuki?"

Guy, who was sitting on the side nodded as he spoke up "They have been more active in the region than expected, there also have been major movements in Iwa and Kumo, we expe..."

The discussion between them continued for half an hour more as Hiro started to understand the situation even more.

There were some things he did not know yet which Guy had just revealed.

'That's quite good of an opportunity if I can grab it' Hiro thought as the discussion was coming to an end.

"So it has been finalized, we'll be providing extra layer of protection against Akatsuki if they try to be funny during these exams" Guy said as he shook hands with Gaara, Inviting him to a spar which he rejected courteously. 

"It okay then, we'll excuse ourselves"

Inside the castle made from sandstone, Hiro sat on the second floor as he engaged in a match of Chess against Kurenai. 

They had been going at at it for the last 3-4 hours as Kurenai was inching ever closer to a victory while Hiro kept defeating her.

"And that's checkmate" Hiro said as he cornered Kurenai's king with his knight, adding another victory to his total.

 "Whhaaaa, that's not fair, weren't you attacking with your bishop just now?" Kurenai said in frustration as he turned the chess board over.

Although not a champion, Hiro had once been a competitive chess player reaching grandmaster level in his previous world.

He couldn't help but smile at Kurenai's frustrated expression as he said "Don't worry, I believe you'll defeat me next time" 

"Looks like the first team had made it here, wanna take a look?" Hiro said as he focused his senses onto the incoming team in the distance.

'As expected, it's the Takigakure's team' 

"Sure, why not?" Kurenai said as she got up along with Hiro, trying to wash the frustration in her mind away.

Both of them were free currently as Guy had taken the duty of being besides Gaara while leaving the Exam Site to Kurenai and Him.

The both of them moved towards the ground floor of the establishment as the team entered the premises. 

Hiro saw the Two pretend Genins running after Fuu, the Jinchuriki of 7 tails.

"Yay!! We made it first!!" Fuu said as raised her hands in joy.

Despite the efforts to of the two Jonins taking one of the longest of routes from Konoha to Suna, they had covered the huge distance in just 10 days, still coming out on top of everyone else.

"Fuu, calm down" one of the men said as he tried to save the situation but failed as Fuu ran in a straight line towards Hiro and company. 

"Hello, are you the examiners of the Chunin exams?" Fuu asked with an excited expression.

"Sort of.... which village are you guys from?" Kurenai said as she marveled at the bubbly personality of Fuu.

"I'm Fuu, from Takigakure, will you guys be my friend?" She asked while looking expectant at both Kurenai and Hiro. 

"Fuu!!! Its not good manners to approach people like this!" The two Jonins reeled her back as they both apologized for her behavior "Forgive her, it's her first time coming out of the village"

"Don't worry, its fine" Hiro said as he looked at Fuu's dejected expression.

Slowly, a scheme developed in his mind with a lewd expression that he suppressed perfectly. 

"And you don't need to be sorry, I'll be your friend" Hiro said as he extended his hand towards Fuu.

Suddenly, her expression turned a 180° as she became excited once again and clasped onto Hiro's hand.

"Yay!!! Fuu's first friend outside her family, see, I told you I'll be able to make many friends!!" She said as she said to her bodyguards (team members) as they looked suspiciously towards Hiro.

"I'm Hiro, Elite Jonin from Konohagakure, I'm presiding over this phase of the exams as the Protector, nice to meet you" Hiro said as he took his Ninja badge out and showed it to Fuu and her body guards.

They visibly relaxed after hearing Hiro's introduction as they let Fuu talk with him
