INTERVIEW

Lia's pov

I have had a long week of job hunting and I landed a few interviews. The boys are so happy with school and Lechi sold his first painting yesterday. Achi joined the school's basketball team and he is really good at it. I don't know anything about basketball, so I just smiled and congratulated him with a peck on his cheek. We came up with a timetable for house chores so nobody lazes around the house.

Today is Monday and I have three interviews so I am up early, I have to get ready and Lechi is doing my make-up, I am a tomboy and I just have trouser suits even after the boys told me I looked good in a skirt. What do they know about skirts? Nothing! After dressing in black pants, a white chiffon blouse with golden cuffs and a black pair of heels, I went to wake up the boys to get ready for school and Lechi to help me with my make-up. I know he loved it. So he went with some light make-up and dang it, this boy can transform you into a supermodel.

"Damn it, sis you look amazing, you will blow your boss's brains away. All the best Lia, I love you." Achi says and hugs me. "My work is amazing, bro she looks like a lady with class and sass. Go blow their minds they wont know what hit them." Lechi says as he grabs me and pecks my cheek. "Oh boys I love you so much and thank you, I have to run. You guys have a great day at school." I say as I peck them on their foreheads, I know they are tall. Lechi, towering at 6'4 and Achi at 6'0. They literally have to bend.

I rushed to my car, my lovely black jeep wrangler. I saved up for it for ages and finally I bought it! I got the boys their own car for school and for running errands around town. Achi has been better lately. The nightmares stopped and he could sleep well. Apparently, he loves sleeping and Lechi loves food! I reached my first interview, this place looks like heaven on earth and whoever designed this building is a crazy genius. Damn Romania, co-operation is the only business that can afford such.

I hear the CEO is an ice-cold, ruthless bustard, not my words. It's all over the internet. Well, I cant wait to meet him. As I walked into the reception area, I bumped into a wall and I felt myself falling. I closed my eyes to wait for the impact but it didn't come. So I opened one of my eyes to see what was holding on to me and I was greeted with chocolate brown eyes and that's when I felt his arms around my waist. I gasped and moved out of his way, "I am so sorry sir, I was admiring this piece of art and I just forgot I was in the way." I said, pointing at the building, and he chuckled. I looked at him and he looked so familiar. "Lia, is okay, I also wonder sometimes how this building looks so great." the strangely familiar man says, he is hot and he knows my name?

I look at him confused, "uum not to sound rude, but do I know you?" He looks at me like I've got two heads and a tail. "Well, you saved my kids from the pack last week and my son told me you are called Lia. Is that not your name?" he asks, shocked, and he looks apologetic. I laughed at his reaction. Damn, that looks like he's got constipation. "Stop. I cant take it anymore." I say between laughs. "What?" he asks. "That look you've got is ridiculous." I say sniffling, I haven't had a laugh like that in a long time. I looked at him and said, "Dude, now I remember you, how are the kids?"

He looks at me confused but answers, "they are fine, Xander can't stop talking about you. I think he's got a crush on you." He says with a smirk on his god-like face. I am speechless, "What! But he is just a kid. Does he even know what a crush is?" I asked, perplexed. "I don't think he cares, he said he was going to grow up quickly and come get you, apparently you are his! His words, not mine." He says, looking like he is lost in a memory. I choked out on my own saliva, this kid is crazy. "Dude, did you tell him I can't love him that way?" I asked him. He looks at me and smiles, "I tried but he is set on you." Now its my turn to look at him like he's got wings and a tail.

"Anyway, nice catching up and saving my butt from kissing the floor. I am running late for my interview." I say, looking at the time. "Oh okay, come, I can show you to your interview room." He says as he leads me towards the elevator, he punched the floor number and we stood there in comfortable silence. The ding of the doors opening brought me back to reality. He walks me towards a hallway and a lot of people are there. The ladies are looking at me like they want to choke me to death, but the men are like they want to jump my bones? I must be dreaming, pfft! I am just a tomboy looking for work and with that pep talk I mind my own business.

"So wait here for your name to be called, then you will enter through the double doors, okay! Oh and all the best. I hope we can work together." He tells me before walking away. "I hope we will be working together."

After four long hours of waiting and people coming out with tears in their eyes , others angry and shouting profanities. I guess the CEO is in then and a creepy smile creeps on my face. Then it was my turn. I walked up to the double doors and entered. Wow, this room is beautiful , the view of the city is breathtaking. Someone clears their throat to bring me out of my gawking and I'm shown to a seat in front of the interview committee. They are all in expensive tuxes. Damn, they are wasting money on clothes. I peruse the room and my eyes land on him, Dude. Yeah, I call him that. I really don't know his name, but right now he looks all serious and badass.

"Miss Metolia Ren, tell us more about you," some guy asks. "I don't think there's anything special about me. I'm a twenty-two-year old lady, I love laughing and food." I look up to see them smiling except for dude. "As much as we love a good laugh miss Ren, what will you be bringing to the company if you get the job." Another guy asks as he passes my papers to another lady. "I am full package smart, bright, lovable and team player. I have been told I'm a neat freak, so I guess it's a perk too." I said, smiling at them. Well, they look intimidating, but I won't break.

"Okay, miss Ren, you will receive an email tonight to know if you have got the job." Another guy said. I stood up and flashed them my warm smile and thanked them. I sashayed out of that office and went to my next interview. If I don't get that one, then I have two more opportunities.

Romania's pov

She walks in like she owns the world, damn this woman. She doesn't even see the way she affects the people around her. Douglas clears his throat to start up the interview and she sweeps the room looking at each of us in the eyes. Some of my board members are cowering at her gaze. She is so intimidating and hot and something awakes in me. Is that a bulge I see? Not just mine, damn my whole team, but the ladies are swallowing. I think they can feel it too. The testosterone in the room is too much, I disguise my emotions quite well and listen to her replying to the questions with honesty. After she left, everybody breathed a sigh of relief.

I turned to look at my board and shook my head in disappointment, "You were intimidated by a twenty-two-year-old girl! She looked like she was the one doing this interview. She is in. I want her to start work tomorrow and she will be a great PA. What do you think, people, I need your input." "She is perfect, she will scare all our competition away. I was almost peeing myself when she did that sweep!" Douglas says, and everybody nods in agreement. "Okay, back to work. Douglas, you can take back your secretary, I've got my own badass PA." I tell him, smiling after we are alone in the board room. "Dude, you are whipped! I hope she is the one I need my best friend back." He said, tapping my shoulder and walked away.

I am left thinking of how we bumped into each other and that warm feeling I felt wash over my body. Xander loves her and I guess Xandria does too because she is supporting her brother. I laugh at my children's antics. I walked out of the board room and headed to my office to finish some work, then headed home.

Lia's pov

After a long day of running around different companies, I went back home to my family. I missed the boys so much, I decided on take out since it was my night to cook dinner. I settled on Mexican and pizza.

"I'm home loves. How was your day at school?" I asked them as they came down the stairs looking all excited. "We had a great day sis, what about you?" Achi asked with a smile on that adorable face.

My phone binged and looked towards it. I was so nervous. I know it's the email notification, "Lechi, take that phone and let's see how my day was." I said, pointing towards my phone. He gets up and reads it, he comes towards me and hugged me, crushing my bones. "You will kill me with all that strength." I say getting out of his hold. "You got the job sis!" He says happily. "Which one?" "The Romania co-operation one and you start tomorrow at 8:00am." Lechi says and Achi comes to hug me and congratulate me. We celebrate with food and some beer before we go to bed. We all have an early morning.
