The X-Men exchanged glances, although they were relieved that strong-looking reinforcements had arrived, but was the Ashborn capable of defeating a monster like Abomination?
Except for Jean, Emma, Charles and one other X-Men, everyone doubted. Behind his armor, Tony looked at Ashborn with a narrowed gaze and at the same time JARVIS was investigating something.
The battlefield became silent.
Ashborn's appearance had interrupted their battle, but there was a tense atmosphere around them that they could not ignore.
Sure enough, at a moment like this, Abomination took the opportunity to lunge forward, his overwhelming power propelling him towards Lynn. But before he could reach him, the cubes behind Lynn instantly came to life and advanced. They released a synchronized purple blast of energy, forming an impenetrable shield around him. This was actually Annodite's mana manipulation ability that he had intentionally connected with his cubes.
"Boom!"
With Abomination and Lynn at the center, the wind rushed around them, sending the X-men and others flying backwards.
Abomination's massive fist crashed into the mana shield, his massive form bouncing back with a thunderous impact. He was stunned, staggered back, and momentarily confused.
His gaze stared at Lynn with a range of emotions, from alarm, anger, humiliation, and a little fear. It was like instinct that made him afraid, even so his rising anger made him indifferent to fear.
Abomination growled and said in a loud voice. "A worthy opponent has finally appeared. Your name is Ashborn? I will kill you!"
Lynn rolled his eyes, he looked at Abomination with a funny look. "Does screaming so loudly make you feel braver to fight me? Obviously your instinct scream in fear when faced with me."
"I... Who's afraid of you! You're just an ant that I can easily kill!"
Abomination felt humiliated, he wouldn't admit that he was scared, Emil's consciousness and pride inside him hated defeat. This is just like when Emil was once defeated by the Hulk, and he was obsessed with getting revenge on the Hulk after that.
Seeing the Abomination leaping high while bringing his hands together like a hammer to hit him, Lynn didn't change his expression and simply waved one hand to the side. Quickly, a giant palm made of mana was created beside the Abomination that was still leaping in the air.
The giant purple hand was huge and the Abomination looked like a slapped insect.
The Abomination's body was thrown, piercing through the many ruins and only stopping after being thrown hundreds of meters.
Everyone who saw this was stunned of course, especially the X-Men. After all, it wasn't that long ago that they also fought the Abomination and that fight was very difficult.
They had no advantage at all against the Abomination!
But look at Ashborn, his fight with Abomination is like child's play. It's just a matter of waving a hand, and a monster like the Abomination is instantly in a difficult situation.
"Even so, the green monster still has a very fast regeneration ability. That's not enough to kill it."
The one who said that was Scott who was currently receiving a lot of stares from the other X-Men, especially Jean who was currently looking at him sharply.
The latter was clearly angry as if offended by his words.
"What? I just said my analysis..."
"Scott, you'd better shut up." Ororo said.
Scott fell silent. He didn't really care about the reactions of the others, but he wondered why Jean seemed to be increasingly unhappy with him?
If Ororo knew what Scott was thinking, she would sigh and say: "Of course, after all, your words earlier were tantamount to belittling Jean's boyfriend."
Ever since Ashborn arrived, the Professor had telepathically contacted her that Ashborn was Lynn and ordered her to prevent the other X-Men from offending Lynn. They all had to make a good impression on Lynn, after all, the other party is the mutant benefactor who has made the status of mutants better in the world.
Scott's words sounded dubious and disparaging to Lynn, and Ororo of course had to silence him.
"Ashborn!!!"
The sound of Abomination's roar could be heard from hundreds of meters away, the monster was running towards Ashborn with its bloody wounds healing at a speed visible to the naked eye. Although the previous slap made some of his internal organs explode, it was not enough to kill him.
With a vicious grin, Abomination galloped towards Ashborn.
Lynn who saw the Abomination getting closer did not panic, he looked at the monster that was still some distance away from him and decided to end this fight as soon as possible.
Lynn's indifferent voice filled the air. "Enough of this, big guy. I won't let you bring further chaos to this city."
In his mind, he winced at what he said in the last part. But hey he was pretending to be a hero now, so this didn't sound too cringe-worthy, right?
Well whatever.
Lynn stood in the center of the battlefield, his powerful presence crackling with immense energy. The purple lightning that enveloped him form danced and pulsed in perfect harmony, while seven cubes hovered around him, emitting an otherworldly aura.
"Everyone, we need to get away from here immediately!"
Jean, with her sensory abilities, sensed the raw power emanating from Lynn. She exchanged glances with Emma, the blonde girl also seemed to realize the same thing as her. The other X-Men, they were exhausted but listened to Jean's orders and quickly moved away. Even so, many of them watched with anticipation, their eyes fixed on the upcoming clash between Ashborn and Abomination.
The crowd that had gathered to watch the battle gasped in awe as Lynn's aura intensified. The news cameras that captured the scene transmitted the astounding display of power to millions of viewers around the world. The world held its breath, unsure of what was about to unfold.
Abomination who was still on his way to contact Ashborn, growled and his eyes narrowed in an attempt to comprehend the power that stood before him. Ashborn's power was unlike anything he had ever encountered, and fear began to creep back into the depths of his soul.
He even began to slow down his running speed and started thinking of options to escape. But it seemed too late to escape.
Quickly, Lynn launched into action. Purple lightning wrapped around him, he summoned his seven cubes, and with a wave of his hand, they merged, combining their energy to create a colossal energy construct. It materialized in the form of a towering slender and long white rifle, crackling with purple lightning and gathering energy at the muzzle.
Once the energy was ready to fire, instead of firing immediately, Lynn suddenly moved as if teleporting in front of the Abomination.
"You---" Abomination didn't finish his sentence because his jaw was kicked by Lynn, sending his body flying high into the air.
Lynn aimed his rifle at the Abomination that was thrown into the sky. There was a faint smile on his face before he pressed the trigger.
"This way, I don't have to worry about my shots destroying several cities or countries. Shooting into the sky, better."
The woodpecker is pressed, purple energy mixed with lightning of the same color erupted from the muzzle end of the gun. A mass of energy hundreds of meters wide covered the sky and the Abomination that was there.
The night clouds were dispersed by the attack, the firing distance was so long that it passed through the earth's atmosphere and even crossed the void in space!
The scene lasted only a few seconds and then it was over.
The Abomination's whereabouts were no longer found.
Of course, many people thought the Abomination didn't even leave ashes after receiving such an attack.
The X-Men and Iron Man watched in amazement as Lynn unleashed his ultimate move. Jean's eyes widened in awe and the red light flickered several times with obsession as she stared at Lynn from a distance. Emma looked dazed for a moment, there was a twinkle in her eyes after seeing how powerful Lynn's attack had been earlier. They had witnessed incredible displays of power before, but Lynn's abilities surpassed anything they had ever encountered.
The crowd gathered on the battlefield was mesmerized, their jaws gaping in disbelief as they witnessed Ashborn's power. News reporters, broadcasting the battle to the world, struggled to find words to describe the unprecedented spectacle before them. The sight of Ashborn, with the power of purple lightning and her seven cubes, defeating the Abomination with one devastating strike, sent shockwaves through their souls.
Silence settled over the battlefield as the dust settled. Lynn stood up, his energy still crackling around him, his victory apparent. The defeated Abomination, completely killed without a trace.
Meanwhile, the world watched in disbelief. News channels continued to broadcast the epic battle, replaying the incredible scene of Ashborn's victory over and over again. People in their homes, in cafes, and on the street were in awe and wonder. Ashborn's name echoed through conversations as they tried to comprehend the magnitude of her power.
Amidst the dumbfounded audience, a red-haired spy, Natasha Romanoff, watched with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. Memories of her encounter with the rich second-generation Lynn Allen resurfaced in her mind. She wondered if this Ashborn figure was the same person as Lynn, that rich second generation?
After the battle was over, it was time to return to headquarters and report in. Ignoring the people on the street who were still mesmerized by what they had just watched, Natasha got into her car and contacted her boss while driving.
"Nick, the battle is over. The heroes won and the monster was destroyed without leaving anything behind. I'll report the details at headquarters."
"What, is it over?" Nick Fury's voice on the other side of the phone strangely sounded pleased and a little disappointed.
Natasha wondered what was wrong with the bald man?
Shouldn't you be happy that the Abomination problem is solved?
"Don't you watch the live broadcasts on the news, Nick? It's not like you."
"Ahem! Yes, I'm busy discussing with someone right now. Go back to the base as soon as possible, I'll ask for the details in my office."
Natasha shrugged, she immediately hung up and was on her way back to the base.
On the other side.
Nick Fury was actually making two phone calls simultaneously on his two cell phones. The call from Natasha had just finished and he still had to continue conversation with the person on his other phone.
"Well Dr. Banner. Looks like there's been a change of plans. We should meet at SHIELD headquarters and I'll make you a good offer."
The person on the other side of the phone was Bruce Banner, the Hulk who Nick Fury initially wanted to persuade to help the heroes who were fighting against the Abomination.
But before he could persuade Bruce, it seems that a hero named Ashborn managed to defeat the Abomination first before the Hulk showed up.
He was of course relieved that the Abomination was defeated, but he also felt a little disappointed because the good opportunity to convince Hulk to join the Avengers was slightly reduced.
He'll likely have to have a private conversation with Bruce to convince him to join the Avengers.
The method of convincing Bruce with an urgent situation is out of the question unless another super-powerful villain comes out of nowhere to cause trouble.
"What? Earlier you said the situation was urgent and I had to go to the city immediately to stop the Green Titan who is just like me. Now, why do I have to go to your organization's headquarters? What about the Abomination? Isn't he still making trouble in the city?" Bruce asked dissatisfiedly on the other side of the phone. It seemed like he had already been moved to go help earlier, and intended to stop the Abomination with his powers.
But in the middle of the conversation, Nick Fury suddenly changed plans.
Nick Fury massaged his forehead and said with a wry smile. "About Abomination, he was actually defeated by a certain superhero just now."
"...That's good. So we have nothing more to talk about, right?" Bruce asked, looking like he was ready to hang up at any moment.
Nick Fury wanted to scold the physicist scientist, but he was patient and had to try to persuade him by all means!
Hell, he even kind of blamed Ashborn for defeating the Abomination so quickly.
...
Meanwhile.
When the heroes' battle against the Abomination on earth had just finished. Far out in space, in a place called Asgard, the God King, Odin Borson nicknamed the Allfather, a wise and powerful ruler, sat on his golden throne. Ancient wisdom and the responsibility of protecting the Nine Realms rests on his broad shoulders. But today, there was something that caught his attention, something that aroused his curiosity.
Odin, whose one remaining eye was filled with intrigue, sensed a wave of power reverberating on the small planet in the territory of the Nine Realms. Although the range of that power was still small, the energy contained within it penetrated the very fabric of space itself, leaving him stunned for a moment. The source of this power was none other than one of the creatures living in Midgard.
With a flick of his hand, Odin summoned Heimdall, the ever-vigilant guardian of Bifrost, to his side. The golden-armored warrior stepped forward, his piercing gaze meeting Odin's.
"Heimdall." Odin spoke, his voice commanding yet tinged with a hint of curiosity, "tell me, what happened in Midgard a few moments ago? I sensed a force, foreign and powerful, emanating from that world."
Heimdall turned his gaze across the realms, furrowing his brow, his eyes reflecting Midgard/Earth. "Allfather, I have seen a disturbance in the fabric of the universe. It seems that a new power has arisen in Midgard, a power we have never encountered before. Its origin and nature I cannot discern."
Odin leaned forward, his hand resting on his beard as he pondered the implications of this newfound power. "Heimdall, I want you to focus your sights on Midgard. Observe this power, and report to me with any findings."
Heimdall nodded. "As you command, Allfather. I will watch Midgard vigilantly and provide you with the knowledge you seek."
As Heimdall turned to leave, Odin's voice rang out across the hall, filled with a mixture of caution. "Remember, Heimdall, Midgard is guarded by the Ancient One. So if you find the creature we seek dangerous, you must not move immediately."
"Just monitor him and report to me first."
Heimdall bowed his head. "Rest assured, Allfather, I never forget Midgard also has guards and I will not act recklessly."
With that, Heimdall strode towards the Observatory, his destination clear. Odin, back on his throne, contemplated Midgard. But it was not for long as he suddenly felt his daughter's seal weakening faster than usual.
He turned his head in a certain direction and his pupils shrank.
"Hela... It looks like you will break free from the seal sooner than I thought."
Odin sighed, his old face looking even older, but his gaze was still firm. He thought of his two sons, or rather one of them as it was urgent.
"It is time to make Thor grow up faster. Sending him to Midgard while sealing away his divine powers would be a good method."
