79. Leo and zero backstory

Abraham looked at both of them. Leo and Master Sabre have taken him inside one of the wooden cabins. Abraham assumed that it must belong to either Leo or Master Sabre. Before coming, Abraham had thought a lot about how and what he would talk with them. There were many ways he could manipulate them, but sometimes the whole truth was the best approach.

"I will be frank and direct. I want both of you to work for me. I want to create an organization and want Master Sabre to lead it. The organization will have as a goal to help the misfortune and protect against those that abuse their power and ability."

As powerful as Abraham was, he could not be everywhere at the same time protecting everyone.

"It is a great idea, but why would we join you? We are already doing our part on our own. On top of that, we don't even know you. How can we be sure that you don't have any other motive behind this." Master Sabre was quick to reply while Leo was still silent on the side.

"Because I want someone strong at the top. And also someone I already know lots of things about. I know both of you more than anyone. Even some parts that you don't even know yourself. I know it is hard to trust a stranger. That's why I'm going to tell you lots of things, then we will see about it."

"First", directly looking at Leo, Abraham began unveiling the knowledge of the unseen. "I do know why you are worried about me. Seeing me as the dark magenta aura must be difficult to accept. If I'm a human, why I don't have the yellow aura like everyone else." With every word said by Abraham, it brought a shock to Leo.

The only other person Leo did tell about his ability was his Master. Without giving them any time to process everything, Abraham started to divulge the past and future events about Leo and Master Sabre's life.

It all started during the start of the Dalki war, disaster had struck, changing Master Sabre's life forever. Living peacefully at the top of the temple, Master Sabre continued the traditions of his family.

Teaching all those that came to him the power of Qi. This was where one of his students had been abandoned by his parents. Leo had been abandoned, and just like with all his pupils, Master Sabre had brought him into part of his family adopting him, and he too had taught him Qi.

However, a mistake, a grave mistake from one of his dearest students had changed everything, showing the world his powers, and allowing for the world to discover them. Against everyone, Leo decided to join the war. In doing so, people came to know about the temple.

That was the point where those that were part of the temple, had been forced to join the war. They had been placed on what was called an orange portal planet to gather crystals from the beasts.

Their life was rebuilt on the planet, but all of that was short-lived. In about one and a half years from now, the Dalki would come to attack the very particular planet that everyone was on. There was no help from the government or from the military and in the end, everyone had perished apart from Leo and Master Sabre himself.

At that point and time, the peace treaty would be announced. As for Master Sabre, he would return back on Earth, to the original temple that was up in the mountains. He would start having a meltdown, and the dead body of everyone would flash in front of him. Master Sabre would see Happy's dead body keep coming into his mind.

Master Sabre would start to feel hatred for Leo. If Leo never participates in the war, no one would know about them.

From that futuristic day, Master Sabre would change his name to Zero and form a group known as Pure. As Zero, Master Sabre made a U-turn and became an evil person.

Leo on his side would carry the burden and pain knowing everything happened because of him.

But all that was what happened in the canon story. With Abraham's interference, both lives were going to change. Abraham continued to tell them about the future but he made mostly about the dalki's attack that was going to happen on the settlement.

Leo and Master Sabre stood in stunned silence as Abraham's words echoed in the air, revealing glimpses of their future. Their eyes widened with a mixture of disbelief, fear, and apprehension. The weight of those revelations settled heavily upon them, filling their minds with a whirlwind of emotions.

Leo wished that whatever Abraham was saying was just pure speculation or a construction of lies to get in their head, to make both of them work for him. But deep down, he knew that Abraham was not lying, his own ability allowed Leo to distinguish between truth and lies.

Unless, Abraham had a way to lie and escape the detection of his ability, the dreadful thought of such a possibility brought a shiver throughout Leo's whole body.

Leo has fought against two-spike dalki in the past. A single one has proven difficult. And to think that an entire spaceship containing them would attack the settlement in the near future. Even with how powerful he and the others in the settlement were with the Qi energy, it would be impossible to win.

Master Sabre(Zero)* voice broke the silence, his tone filled with uncertainty. "If what you say is true, what will you do if we don't accept the offer?"

Abraham could read between the line. Zero wanted to know if Abraham would help them fight against the dalki if they refuse.

"The offer does not depend on you decision. Whatever you accept or not, I will kill and defend the people here against the dalki."

On hearing that both Leo and Zero had some hope.

"I would need an immediate response from you. I will wait for your answer on that fateful day after the attack. As for everything else, you will forget everything we talked about. Only after seeing the dalki that day, that will you remember this interaction and everything."

With that Abraham's eyes glowed red and both Leo and Zero were under the Influence skill.

*From now on, I will mostly use the nickname Zero to address Master Sabre Hunt.
