Chapter 3

Dear Diary

Well, I'm sorry I didn't write yesterday.

I was so stressed.

Dike took me around school the other day he showed me where to get my files after making my registration payments, in all, it was hectic.

But today was actually nice. I made a few friends toady in my department.

The first was a girl, then two other guys. Toyin was the name of the girl, while Caleb and Saint were the names of the guys.

Caleb was more calm and quiet, while Saint was the jovial one. Toyin was actually difficult to place a personality on.

I was behind a tree in my department, when a young petite dark skinned lady walked up to me. I was taken back because she stood in front of me and smiled. I was dumbfounded.

"Hey, you are new right?".

She asked me, as she stood akimbo with her Gucci black purse dangling form her shoulder. Her dressing was quite exposing. The red top she wore had a slit on the cooler bone down to her bosom, she also had a blue jean trouser on.I returned her smile.

"Yes I am. Nice to meet you".

I said putting my hand out for a hand shake.

She gave me a once over, smiled and shook my hand.

"I'm Toyin. It's nice to meet you too."

she replied.

She brought out a chewing gum form her purse, took one unwrapped it and put it in her mouth. She offered me one too, but I refused it.

"So, you be one of the new 100 level set, abi?". She asked.

And I nodded my head.

"Well, I'm in 300 level. It's nice to see we still have beautiful and intelligent girls in this school."

She snapping her gum.I smiled and just looked away. She came closer and touched my cheek, I flinched, and she smiled.

"There something on your cheek. I wanted to remove it na. It's not like I want to kill you". She said crossing her hands.

"Ohh… I'm sorry."

She said apologetically.

"It's okay. I just wanted to say hi. I can become your school mother, if you want". She said snapping her gum again while giving me a once over.

My friends who were already in the university always told me about how it was good to have school mother's and fathers. They could help with your assignments, money and whatever you need.

So, this could be a good opportunity for me.I nodded while smiling. "Sure, I'll love that.".

I said with happiness.

A smile tugged at the corner of get lips. She got my number and I gave her mine, and then she bade me good bye, and left.

I told Saint and Caleb about it. Saint was happy for me, but Caleb was a bit skeptical about Toyin.

He defined her proposal as sudden and shady. He just said I should be careful because of her lifestyle. I told him, that she was good on the inside.

I felt fine with it and that's all that mattered So, diary, that's all that had been happening.
