Battle (4) Obsidian Bull Gang

The battle between the two sides continues.

Hei Niu continuously changed his approach tactics, but each of his attempts is thwarted by Zhang Qin Feng with an even shameless trick. The battle changed from throwing food waste until concretes, and now followed with vehicle parts.

Firearms is no longer their option in this battle, but trash. And of course, Hei Niu failed to notice something important.

With most of the available technology scraps have been recycled or broken apart in the name of research, the Azure Wind Base can only focus their collection on the western district instead.

And Hei Niu's arrival is like a godsend to Zhang Qin Feng. As long he continues to bicker with Wu Manya and others, they'll bring the collected scraps over. In return of their goodwill, Zhang Qin Feng ordered not only waste is sent outwards, but along with some crackers.

Hei Niu's team is delighted at first, assuming that the outpost started to have not enough thing to throw outwards to humiliate them. But with more crackers, Protein Bars, and even fruits are thrown outward, he finally noticed something is wrong.

In the next morning, Hei Niu stopped throwing scraps into the Military Expertise Outpost. But the outpost continued to throw foods product outside.

"We're fooled! The Azure Wind Base is not fighting us, but they're taunting us to send whatever they need! We'll have to stop throwing them with things they need!" Hei Niu finally caught up with Zhang Qin Feng's trickery. He can't believe that he just worked for Zhang Qin Feng in return for crackers and protein bars.

Furthermore, he felt insulted because the food he received came from what they picked on the ground, instead of being distributed equally with respect.

Hei Niu pulled his men back to their temporary HQ. But as they're retreating, Wu Manya took the opportunity to fire a pellet of Sugarbomb at one of Hei Niu's trusted subordinates.

"Aargh! Boss!" the coated resin beads showered at this subordinate before he can react. And perhaps, it's his first time inhaling the chloroform mist, he falls unconscious immediately.

"Tie Tou!" Hei Niu turned around to rescue his closest subordinate, but then, the barricades shattered. A harpoon gun with hooks was fired at the subordinate as Azure Wind Soldiers captured him inside the base.

It's like how antlion traps and swallow the prey in a mouthful.

Hei Niu was shocked, but he chooses to retreat instead of charging at his enemies without a backup. Although he's rash and straightforward, he's no fool. As for the captured subordinate, all he can think is to pay them the ransom they asked if they did.

"Tie Tou, I'll rescue you for sure!" Hei Niu smashed a piece of fallen concrete to vent his anger.

Meanwhile, inside the outpost...

"You can do what you want! But if you want me to betray my boss, then you can stop dreaming!" Tie Tou shouts the moment he wakes up in an unfamiliar place. The harpoon hooks that hold him earlier were gone, with only a resin rope tied his hand together.

Yu Yang Kai came forward with a skewer of processed meat on it. The flowing brown juice drips on the ground as he approached, with the smell of onion wafting over to Tie Tou's nose.

"Grr..." Tie Tou stares at Yu Yang Kai like a trapped beast. Although his hand is tied together, he can still move it up and down, as long it's between his two thighs and his head.

"What? Have you turned into a dog because you're afraid?" Yu Yang Kai stabs the skewer onto Tie Tou's hand and left. It makes this wounded beast felt puzzled for a moment.

"Eat it. Our boss doesn't mind us giving food out, but if you waste it, then you'll f*cked. Just make sure you don't eat that skewer stick out of hunger. If you need more, just call those that are still eating around you." Yu Yang Kai throws the skewer stick away as he speaks.

"Sleep. You'll need it to wash away the sedative's aftereffect."

It takes Tie Tou a little while before he takes his first bite. At first, he's clueless about how to eat them, but the imprinted sense of a human quickly engulfs him with hunger and thirst. This is the first time he drooled before something he never tastes before.

"Um... Umm... This is delicious..." Tie Tou cried as he bites into the outermost piece of meat. It was only a piece of meatball with a lot of starch and seasoning, but in Tie Tou's mouth, this is the best food he tasted for the first time.

"Look at that kid." Yu Yang Kai sneakily monitored Tie Tou as he chewed on the meatballs.

Actually, all of them here had the same experience.

That's especially true to Tian Yao, the previous leader of the sixth platoon before he was promoted to a Major. When he was given a piece of fish cake, this guy brought it back to his room so he could keep them aside until he's hungry again.

In the end, mold grows on that fishcake because it wasn't frozen, and he got a big knock on the head by Dan Bao, who found out that mess inside the room after a quick check.

Now, he's addicted to the fish cake, and Zhang Qin Feng gets him some ready to eat packets with them to reward him.

"Give me some face, please? I'm sitting with my subordinates here." Tian Yao tossed the plastic bottle of milk tea at Wu Manya.

"Hahaha! We all have our shameful times before! But who felt regrets about following our boss?" Wu Manya stands up with another skewer of meatball on his hand. As he made his statement, he downed the skewer of three meatballs, trying to finish them in a mouthful.

"Those that choke is going to get punched! Down the skewers, all hail the boss of Qingfeng!" Yu Yang Kai followed.

"HOORAH!" they continued.

"Report!" Xichen stares at his subordinate, who's kneeling the moment he entered the room.

"Hei Niu attacked the outpost nine times, but all attempts resulted in failure. At the same time, they're picking the scraps thrown outside by the Azure Wind Base. They're all edibles, like fruits, crackers, and protein bars." the subordinate quickly reports what he knows.

"Ah? Instead of explosives, they throw the food out? Did Hei Niu and his Obsidian Bull Gang betrayed us?" Xichen chuckled. He felt puzzled because so many attacks ended in failure. And in exchange, the Azure Wind Base throws food out instead of explosive shells.

"I don't think so. The people from Obsidian Bull Gang doesn't seem like that, at least for now." Liang Qi added. With years of experience working under Xichen, he knows what had to be done.

Xichen is a guy that speaks honorably and wise in front of his people, but at the back, he's a ruthless leader with lots of suspicion and distrust. Unless on his own soldiers that's locked with a subordinating band, he placed multiple spies on other gangs to monitor their progress.

And Liang Qi, who's by his side, is the one that executes all the dirty works for Xichen.

"What is Hei Niu planning right now?" Xichen asked. He provides Hei Niu with 3,000 soldiers and 50 siege vehicles when departed, and till now, none of them are in use. Also, about 400 soldiers either die, injured, or captured by Azure Wind Base.

One of Hei Niu's trusted subordinates is also included.

"He's preparing a big attack at the outpost. I've seen him parked the available Spider II and Ferrum Tactical Vehicle on better driving roads. It seems that the few days of the attack are used by him to search for a decent marching route." the subordinate added.

"I'll trust him again for now. Return to your post." Xichen waved his hand outwards, telling the subordinate to scram from his room.

"Liang Qi, how's the research on Azure Wind Gang's Backpack System Variant?" Xichen asked. They managed to steal a few BSV from their alliance fortress during the Titanfall. But so far, his researchers are still thinking about how to produce them.

"We're still at the deciphering stage. The build of this equipment is simple, but our problem comes from the Motherboard that manages all its functions. We only have two Privatized-Printer to reproduce the same parts now," Liang Qi replied.

"Send a part of our people outside and look for usable printers. I want us to reach Azure Wind's production capability before we sent our fourth brigade out," Xichen ordered. With 30,000 soldiers in his hand, he's capable of sending out six brigades.

Up to date, only a brigade worth of soldiers are sent out to the battlefield. Unfortunately, they're still unable to obtain their victory due to Azure Wind Base's unbelievable manufacturing ability.

Xichen's decision means that they're going to stretch this war into a long one, to compete in terms of battle attrition and supplies. And with how developed his base is, maintaining their current output for over a month will not be a problem.

"Boss," one of Hei Niu's five remaining lieutenants called for him.

"How's the preparation?" Hei Niu asked. They used an entire day's worth of time to redeploy the soldier's distribution. Right now, they are split into a total of five battalions, with two platoons of veteran soldiers following Hei Niu's team.

"We're ready. The siege weapons are deployed at convenient places for us to charge forward. As long we'll able to catch their attention, the main entrance will have less soldier defending it." a lieutenant replied.

"Then, the boss will charge through their main entrance used to kidnap Tie Tou. I'm sure they have no idea about the boss's enhanced ability!" another lieutenant laughed.

"Shh..." the less we talked about it, the better." Hei Niu signaled them to stop talking about this. As a leader, he has a better brain compared to his brawn lieutenants.
