Chapter 18 - Before The First Exam

The next day Ren and Sakura went to the academy together and meet up with their teammates, and while Ren was talking with Taro and Jiro giving them some advice on the coming exam, even going as far as giving the hint that from what he heard some test are more psychological than based on knowledge,

Naruto and Sasuke were talking about Sakura's change of look, and when asked she said that it was getting to long and that to be ready for the exam she choose to cut it.

Done with the greeting the two teams then went inside after a while what greeted their sight was the scene of a quarrel where two not much older shinobi were blocking the entrance to the classroom #301.

Seeing this scene Ren remembered 'Oh this is when the two chunin examiners use the simple genjutsu to change the room number and team Guy play along with it to stay low-key until emo-boy like a prima donna interrupt this farce'.

And just like that the event goes on and it end with Rock Lee stopping the fight to make a good impression on Sakura and soon after ask her to go out with him but She replies with a direct "No way... you are lame"

Rock Lee has shiny black hair in a bowl-cut style, round eyes with prominent lower eyelashes, and very thick eyebrows, he wears a green jumpsuit, orange leg warmers, and a red forehead protector worn as a belt. He has bandages around his forearms up to his fingers.

Then the other genins went to the real third floor meanwhile Ren and his merry band were followed by Rock Lee who challenged Sasuke as soon as they reached an empty room

But the challenge was soon interrupted by Naruto who sick of hearing everyone talk about Sasuke decide to fight Rock Lee first but was then knocked out with a simple sweeping kick.

And then the real fight started with Sasuke unable to keep up with Rock Lee speed, even after opening the sharingan and while Rock Lee was kicking around Sasuke, Ren was whispering to Taro and Jiro "So Rock Lee was your classmate?How much stronger he is from the academy time?" it is Jiro that replied "Totally different person, before even if he was only good a taijutsu he still lost to me ,Taro and Neji, now I'm unsure if even Neji can keep up with him" and Taro add "But to me he still seem slower than you,I can still somehow see his figure as he move, while with you it almost seem like you are teleporting".

As Rock Lee was about to finish off Sasuke the fight is interrupted by Might Guy who first punched and scolded Rock Lee and then started hugging him talking about mistakes and youth.

Guy is a tall and well-muscled man. He has fair skin a strong jawline, a somewhat large nose, and black hair. He is most noticeable for his shiny bowl-style haircut and thick eyebrows, he wears a green jumpsuit, orange striped leg warmers, and the standard Konoha flak jacket, which he normally leaves unzipped. His red forehead protector is worn around his waist like a belt.

He then notice team 7 and ask "Hey guys how is Kakashi doing?" and Sasuke in turn ask "You know Kakashi-sensei" at that moment Guy say "Know him?" and flashes behind team 7, but before continuing what he was going to say he noticed that the pink haired boy was able to follow his movement perfectly a thought 'Oh it seem that Neji and Rock Lee will have more troubles than expected...if i'm not wrong they are Hayate's team'

Then like nothing happened says "I'm know as Kakashi's Eternal Rival right now our record is 50-49, so I'm stronger than Kakashi" and soon after wishing Rock Lee good luck, he went away and Rock Lee then went on third floor.

And after Naruto taunted/cheered up Sasuke for his loss they all went toward classroom #301 where in front of the door met up with Kakashi and Hayate who encouraged them and then went inside.

Once inside they were greeted by Ino and the rest of team 10 and soon after the other rookie 9 started to come closer and started talking, after greeting his classmates Ren sent a signal to his teammate to recede into the crowd. Meanwhile Kabuto introduced himself and started showing his cards to Naruto and the rest.

Kabuto Yakushi has onyx eyes and ash-grey hair, which he normally keeps in a ponytail, his most consistent feature are his black rimmed circular glasses, Kabuto wears a dark purple shirt with a high collar, a white under-shirt, and dark purple pants with a white cloth waistband, he wears also dark purple fingerless gloves with armoured plates on the back of the hand and a blue forehead protector.

After Ren and his team were at a good distance Jiro asked why they distanced themself, but Ren didn't have the time to replies when they hear Naruto loud voice " My name is Naruto Uzumaki, I won't lose to you bastard, you heard that? -Dattebayo" and pointing at Naruto "That is why we do not need a target on ourself so soon"

And while Sakura was trying to save the situation they were attacked by the 3 Sound(Oto) ninja, but was intercepted by Kabuto who was until then playing the part of the good guy.

Dosu Kinuta had bandages covering most of his face, leaving only his left eye and eyebrow uncovered. He also wore a large poncho with long sleeves, a snake patterned scarf around his neck, a straw raincoat protruding from the back of his scarf, and a large amplifier on his right arm for most of his attacks. His back was hunched, which made him look smaller than he actually was.

Zaku Abumi had spiky, black hair and dark eyes. He wore a beige shirt with two black stripes and three prints of the kanji for death down the front. His forehead protector had an attached happuri under the cloth rather than connected to the metal plate

Kin Tsuchi had fair skin, black eyes with very long black hair, almost reaching down to the ground, tied by a violet ribbon right near the end. She wore a forehead protector, a pale green vest somewhat similar to a flak jacket, snake patterned pants with a snake patterned skirt over it, and a snake patterned scarf around her neck, much like her teammates.

Before the fight could escalate it was interrupted by the appearance of Ibiki and the rest of the examiners that with an imposing aura said "Thanks for waiting, I am Ibiki Morino the examiner of the chunin selection exam first test"
