chapter 70: Like father like Son

The moment Dominic had arrived back at the base he headed straight to check on Michael's condition. In the infirmary Dr. Cheng had not long finished operating on Michael and hocked him up to the ventilator, all the while with BoJing sat right next to him like glue.

"how's he doing doc?" Asked Dominic as he entered the room, then headed right over to where BoJing sat. But before Dr Cheng could respond BoJing spoke, "Sir your finally back, are you okay did you get hurt? I did what you asked and took care of your friend" BoJing jumped up when he had heard Dominic's voice, then looking at Dominic's body to make sure he wasn't hurt. He secretly smiled to himself convinced with his earlier theory that Dominic was a superhero.

Dominic ruffled BoJing's hair proud of the little mans hard work. "Well done, am proud of you for being so brave and taking care of my friend", he parised BoJing, genuinely proud of you little man.

Dr Cheng who was observing the two's interaction smiled when recalled his earlier interaction with BoJing, when Michael had staggered in with the little man and some unknown omega, BoJing had refused to leave his side saying Dominic had told him to take care of his friend. "I got say your Dominic your kids just as stubborn as you, he refused to leave his uncles side, I just about convinced him to let me operate on him", Dr Cheng pretend to complain. BoJing looked at Dr Cheng with both a confused and embarrassed expression, did the doctor thought he was Mr Lanxian's son and when did the man laying on the bed become his uncle. "Doctor... am sorry but am not Mr Lanxian's Son and this mans not my uncle" BoJing reluctantly protested secretly wishing it was all true.

Dr Cheng laughed nodding his head "I know, I know, but if your Mr Lanxian has anything to do with it you'll calling him father very soon, so you might as well get use to it" Dr Cheng replied with a cheeky smile, BoJing looked at Dominic to see if he at all protested the idea and to his surprise Dominic was the least bit bothered by what the doctor had said, but instead had a slight smile on his lips, BoJing's heart leaped in joy but first he had to find out about his father.

"Sir, am sorry but did you find my dad?" BoJing asked pulling himself from his momentary happiness.

A depressed expression appeared on Dominic's face before he answered "BoBo your dads already here" he said a little sadden when he remembered the condition he had brought Kang Lei in. BoJing's face lit up beaming with joy "really Sir, you have him here, can I see him" a joyous BoJing grabbed onto Dominic's hand ready to be taken to wherever his father may be.

Dominic remained unmoved thinking of how best to tell BoJing about his father, he bent down and came face to face with BoJing an stroked his hair before he warmly explained the situation "BoBo listen to me... the thing is your dad was unwell when I founded him and we need to keep an eye on him before we can let you see him...so can you wait till your dads a bit better and I'll bring you to see him as soon as he's fit and healthy...what do you say?" Dominic tried to coax BoJing hoping he would agree but angry that he had to keep him away.

Tears begun to form in BoJing's eyes he knew something bad had happened to his father and he hated himself for not being able to help him, "that man who called him self my father, hurt him right?" He began to sobbed uncontrollably but still trying to fight back his tears. Dominic pulled BoJing into his arms and embraced the crying child not knowing what to say, "every night they played the screams of father's voice over and over again, that box on the wall it wouldn't stop taunting me" BoJing continued, Dominic froze "BoBo what did you just say, the box what did it look like" He hurriedly asked pulling BoJing from his embrace to again look at the him, BoJing wiped his tears and replied "it was a speaker box hi.."

"High up in the celling, and it went off every night at midnight" Dominic interrupted BoJing before he could finish what he was about to say, BoJing looked at him puzzled "bu—but sir how did you know" he asked curious.

Dominic again pulled BoJing into his embrace and smiled he was overwhelmed at the bound he had already formed with the young boy, "you told me BoBo, you told me and I promise I will never let anyone hurt you and your dad ever again" he finally answered with a vengeful glint in his eyes.

Dr Cheng who has been practically ignored by this father and son duo finally interrupted the two "ahem... Dominic I need to speak to you in private" Dr Cheng stated with a serious expression on his face, "hum" Dominic responded letting go of BoJing to go with Dr Cheng.

Dr Cheng who wanted again to tease the little man looked at BoJing and said "my apologies younger master Lanxian I'll only take your father away for a moment, I hope you don't mind staying with your uncle Michael in the meantime do you?" Dr Cheng said casually, but deep inside he was trying to his best to restrain himself from laughing at the embarrassed look on BoJing's face. Again BoJing looked at Dominic he was sure he too has heard the doctors comments but he didn't look uncomfortable at being called his father, his heart raced happiness flowing through him, "BoBo are you okay? I'll be right back just stay with your uncle okay" Dominic called out after BoJing didn't respond. BoJing's eyes widened and a bright smile came to face he was speechless only nodding his head wildly in respond.

Dr Cheng chuckled patting Dominic on the back "your son's too adorable" he stated,

"You don't have to tell me" Dominic replied with a proud grin, he had made sure to say it loud enough for BoJing to hear.

For BoJing today was one of the best days of his life, he sat back down next to Michael and recited to himself over and over again like song "daddy, father, uncle Michael" while smiling like a kid in a candy store.
