That apartment, was where Amara and Aaron lived together for a while and in her absence, Aaron used to live there during his initial days. That apartment was filled with his memories so Amara never wished to step in that place as it only reminded her of Aaron and made her crave for him.
She didn't wish for her weakness to take over her so she never visited this place in the last two years, which worked in her favour as she didn't provide any personal information on her to Carl.
