My Plunderer System
In the year 2097, humanity faced a new terror. Cities were destroyed by horrible monsters that came through the dimensional doors. To counter this new terror, humans began to awaken magical abilities and dove into the gates to destroy the oncoming waves of beasts. One student in particular became orphaned due to one of these dimensional doors. He was considered one of the weakest, and was bullied due to his inability protect himself. While being beaten up in an alley one day, the area went into chaos as a dimensional door opened, trapping him and others inside. He was face to face with death when a sudden beam of light came down. "Is this how I die?" the student thought. Waking up in a hospital later, his wounds were healed as if they were never there in the first place, and a strange screen was appearing in his vision... Chapter 15 - Ability Evaluation II
Once it was Milo's turn to take the test, he stepped up to the first test, the ability assessment. When given the signal Milo activated the frost ability to his absolute limit. The moment he did this, the temperature in the room dropped dramatically. His breath soon gave off frost and a web of ice began to spread outward from his feet.
The examiner opened his eyes wide. "A frost ability. Hohoh! well this is unexpected."
The other students were all shivering from the cold aura surrounding Milo and soon their teeth all started chattering. The examiner then stopped the test and instructed Milo to proceed to the strength test. Unfortunately because the frost ability wasn't able to increase strength. Because of this he wound up all his strength and activated his reinforce ability in just his fist, instead. When hitting the target a loud bang was heard and the number on the display started to rise until it eventually stopped at 18. Milo was hoping to score higher but this was as strong as he could hit the target. What he didn't know was that he had scored the highest among the elemental ability users by five whole points. He was even reaching the mid range of rankings for physical enhancement ability users.
Following the strength test he took the agility test and once again scored a high ranking. The shining moment of this test was a section where he had to cross a small moat using a rope. Instead of using the rope to swing across, he instead chose to use his frost ability to freeze the surface and run across which shortened his time on the agility course.
The final test was the magic power assessment, when stepping up to take the test he was nervous as his magic power was his lowest stat. Once he stepped up to the pedestal he was instructed to place his hand on the magic orb device. Once he did so, he activated his ability and the number on the screen rose until it stopped at 17. From the number he could only guess that magic power was a measure of a combination between his intelligence and magic power stats on his status screen.
Once again Milo without realizing set another record among the elemental users. There was one other user who got a 17 as their score but with how common elemental abilities were. He tied the top score among 130 other students in the elemental ability category. Once everything was tabulated Milo prepared to hear his ranking. When stepping down from the magic power assessment he made his way back to the group where the examiner was finishing up with tabulating his score.
