The door creaks open, and I step into the familiar hallway, the scent of wood and glass mingling in the air. It's been a while since I've been here, but nothing has changed. The contrast between the downstairs...where glass furniture catches the light in sharp angles, and the upstairs, with its warm, wooden tones, still feels like stepping between two worlds. I've always liked that about this place. Kane was smart about that.
Unfortunately this time, I'm not here to admire the décor.
