Zev, Jody, and Loel have yet to learn how long it has been since they entered the cave. Zev and Loel were sharing the light from the lamp while sitting on the floor. And Jody used the flashlight to read the writing on the cave's walls and ceiling.
Loel gave Jody a quick look. "How can he see what's written there? We have no idea what those letters are. We never even learned about them in school."
"I told you, she doesn't come from our time. She is ancient, just like Erjon and Luisa. So that's why she can read those weird alphabets."
Loel took a quick look at Zev, who was reading. "Haven't you and Jody slept together?" Zev looked at Loel. "Did you see any marks or other signs that might show that he is the hybrid?"
