Almost Caught
"Shhh!" Jody said as she put her finger on her lips. "No one knows."
Kross couldn't believe what Jody said. He stared at the girl in awe.
"As in, no one else knows, even Zev?" Kross asked, feeling proud.
"Of course, Zev knows," Jody said.
Kross's smile disappeared. Jody was staring inside the house while using his strange eyes. She saw nothing unusual inside the house except the oddly designed cabinets that looked like they had been around for a long time.
"Jody, let's go," Kross said. "You found nothing interesting, did you?"
