When the elevator finally opened, we were looking at a sea of computers, all resting on shelves with a small screen attached to the top. Walking into that dark hall, my eyes were flashed with light as all the screens turned on at the same time. In them was a holographic face with multiple lines cutting off individual features.
"So you're finally back," the Third said, his voice echoing from every little screen.
"And with company," Nexus replied, a smile riding on her lips.
Holding each other's stare, the two went quiet for a spell. However, breaking the ice again, Third said something I hadn't expected at all.
"Fine, go end me. I'm tired of taking care of you spoiled brats anyways," and with that, all the screens shut down on their own.
