Seeking The Spy
After the confrontation at the casino, the guests had been quiet. Even those who'd been extremely demanding at first were now being overly complacent. I might have overdone the theatrics a bit with the corny announcement, but it no longer mattered.
"Only the last guest left to arrive huh?" Revealing her cards on the table, Halfeit reached for the soda can beside her. Taking a light sip from it, she glanced across the table trying to judge who'd lost before we revealed our cards as well. "Venessa, was it? I heard she and our manager had some chemistry going on?"
"Chemistry? What kind?" Asked Emina as she revealed her losing hand.
Done with work for the day, everyone was gathered around the table listening to the conversation. Being the focal point of their interest, I was not at all looking forward to explaining who she was to the others.
"Senya told me she was a married chick Ken seduced, isn't that right?" Rin muttered, her eyes squinting with doubt.
