Blissfully unaware, the guest had no idea about Maiden's existence. She simply watched over the forest, making sure it was safe. But perhaps, she didn't realize that a basic sense of preservation deterred us humans from heading into that damned forest. After all, why else would she kill everything, even pups, as if they were some kind of threat?
"Who are you waiting for exactly?" Having slipped out of her room while her husband slept, Venessa was sitting in my lap as we waited for the wither to arrive.
"You should really go," I warned before pulling her in for a kiss.
Sharing that moment for just a bit, she got off my lap with her eyes squinted in confusion.
"Trust me, you don't want to be here," said Halfeit, the sleepy arcane trickster.
"She's right, you should get back to your room now, Venessa," Cinder added, getting out of her chair to take her back to her room.
