Chase woke up the next morning to find he was really looking forward to his outing with Morgan. He rolled out of bed and got ready for the day, leaving his room to head to the kitchen for breakfast.
Morgan was already seated when he walked into the dining room. He had two plates set out on the table, one for each of them, and Chase smiled, taking his own seat across from him.
Morgan looked up from a paper he’d been going over and grinned when he saw Chase. “Good morning,” he greeted him, folding the paper and shoving it aside a bit. “Are you ready to go out?”
Chase nodded as he settled in his chair. “I'm a little nervous though,” he admitted. “I haven't been in the city since…”
Morgan nodded seriously. “I won't let you out of my sight,” he said definitively. “I'll make sure you're okay.”
Chase felt a blush at Morgan's words creeping up. “Oh,” he said meekly.
Morgan chuckled softly. “I’ll always make sure you're safe,” he stated warmly. “I'll protect you.”
