Enemy no 1

Maya stepped out of the lecture hall and was passing by across the hall but slowed her pace when she saw Damon coming towards her.

she could fell the intenseness of his gaze as he came closer to her'is he coming to meet me'she thought as he came be in her front.

"let's talk"he said confusing her a little,but she then guessed it may be about what he had promised his parents.

"all right"she responded and he gestured for her to follow him.

As they walked side by side across the hallway,the students couldn't help but stare at them,wondering where he was headed to with Maya and continued staring at them,Damon didn't care about the attention but Maya enjoyed it that she gave a shy smile to a group of guy who were admiring her beauty and those who saw her at hobw adorable she looked.

When they reached a secluded corner where they could talk without anyone seeing or hearing them he stopped and turned to face her.

"i broke up with adira"he said nonchalantly like it was no big deal.

Hearing that she was gained the urge to smile so badly but controlled it"but what about adira,am sure she was hurt by what you did" she tried to act innocently and wanting him to think that she cares for Adira but they both knew that she doesn't care at all.

"there's no need to act like you care"he replied coldly and she smiled.

"well,anyways when are you going to meet my parents to finalize the engagement"she asked already smiling ear to ear at the thought of them finally being together,she could finally tell the whole world especially Adira that Damon is her's now.

he looked at her for a while before responding"soon"and he turned to leave but she held his hand before he could leave.

Damon sighed and turned to face her,his eyes asking her what she wanted but she just smirked and leaned her face to his attempting to kiss him but he dodged it and shoved her away.

"dont"was all he said before walking away and she could only watch him leave angrily but she calmed herself down a bit because Damon will soon be her's.she could have gone and bragged to Adira about Damon moving so fast from her but she will wait till after their engagement to be sure he is really ready to marry her.

she smiled to herself and brought her phone out to call her dad and tell him the good news.

At the college's massive study hall

Adira laid on one of the couches that were provided for the students,so they could be comfortable while studying.

"hmf,they provided couches so that we could be comfortable while we study but dear queen Adira decided to use them to snooze while we are are left with this uncomfortable benches"a student who watched Adira talk with her friends complained.

"why complain,at least from here we will be able to see her gorgeous face"another student said and the others agreed.

"i mean which guy in their right mind will leave a girl like you for Maya,can't he see you're the full package"Adira heard her best friend Callie say and she smiled sitting up on the couch.

"are you okay"she heard the soft voice of Kayla,a close friend she made during her first year in college.

"yeah,just a slight headache.i just can't wait to get home and hit the bed"Adira said massaging her temples trying to soothe her aching head.

"yeah,i get you girl"Callie also agreed,they were all exhausted this with this being their last year in college things were becoming more harder.

"how is your father doing"Kayla asked and Adira sighed."well,he want exactly completely better before but it was still good but now with how he sounded this morning when he called am afraid it's getting worse than before"she said feeling depressed by her father's condition.

"it's okay,everything will be fine,he got better before so this time it will be much more better and besides you still can't be sure his health is worsening,was he like that yesterday"Callie asked as she spoke.

"then maybe it was just a one time occurence,just wait till you get home before you judge his condition"after hearing what Callie said she felt a little better and hoped it was just a one time occurence.

she smiled at Callie thanking her for making her fell better but just then someone walked into the hall and the smile faded from Adira's face as she met eyeball to eyeball with Maya.

when she saw that sadistic smile on her face she knew that Damon had told her that he had left her and with that feeling she just wanted to go to her and slap that smile of her face but then Maya looked away and continued walking like she had seen what she wanted and that was the pain in Adira's eyes.

"am pretty sure he is going to realize the mistake he made by leaving you"Callie said like she was very sure of what she was saying.

but either ways,to Adira she knew Damon can't just break up with her for no reason there as to be an explanation or she hoped for.
