Jennifer pledge to protect the ring

Jennifer removed the ring from her finger and gave it back to him. Jayden thought that he made a huge mistake by not asking her before, whether she liked the ring or not. Now, it looked like his wife didn't like this ring that he designed. He stared at the ring for several minutes without saying anything.

'But if I asked earlier then how could it be a surprise? Don't all girls like being proposed in this way? I expected that she would come rushing into my arms and …' He couldn't get why she would return the ring to him.

"Not much? Did you just say not much?" Jennifer asked.

"Baby…" Jayden didn't take the ring from her hand and looked at her with confused eyes.

"Jay, please don't add extra work to me. I am already occupied with so many tasks and adding this ring would make it too tiresome for me. Do you understand what I am trying to say?" She asked him.
