Chapter 06: The Storm Tornado

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Charlie, Tempest told me you and your dad are from another dimension and you know all about us.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Yes, that's right. And we know you all from My Little Pony: The Movie.

Tempest Shadow and Captain Celaeno looked confused.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Movie?

Charlie took his smartphone out of his pocket and showed it to Tempest Shadow and Captain Celaeno.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

What's that?

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

It's a smartphone. It's like a book, but with technology.

Princess Skystar looked confused.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

Techno-what?

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

I know it sounds weird to you, but I already had the My Little Pony: The Movie website on it. Look. See for yourselves.

Charlie gave his smartphone to Captain Celaeno, then Tempest Shadow was reading the movie plot on the screen.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

The Mane Six went on a journey to save Equestria from the Storm King, and meet some new friends. The new characters are Tempest Shadow, Grubber, Capper, Captain Celaeno, Princess Skystar, Queen Novo and...

Tempest Shadow and Captain Celaeno looked surprised when they saw pictures from the movie.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Hey, that's me and Rainbow Dash!

TEMPEST SHADOW:

And that's me and Princess Twilight! But how?

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

In my dimension, you, Captain Celaeno and everyone in Equestria are not real. You're just fiction. You know, made up.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

That doesn't explain how you know about us.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

I'm getting there. Captain Celaeno, you and your crew were forced to work as delivery birds by the Storm King, until Rainbow Dash showed you that you're meant to be a pirate. Tempest, you worked with the Storm King because he promised you to fix your horn and restore your magic, until he told you that he used you. Then Capper tried to sell the Mane Six to Verko, until he had a change of heart. And Skystar became happy when Pinkie Pie showed her that one small thing can make a difference.

Princess Skystar looked happily surprised.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

So, that's how you knew about me.

Captain Celaeno and Tempest Shadow looked happily surprised as well.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

That explains everything.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

I agree, but...

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

It's okay, Tempest. You and everyone in Equestria are real to me, and my dad.

Tempest Shadow and Captain Celaeno smiled.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Thank you, Charlie. That makes me feel better.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Me too.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

So, where are we going?

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

We're heading back to Mount Aris to return Princess Skystar back to her mother, Queen Novo.

Princess Skystar looked scared.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Yelling):

NO!!!

Charlie and Malcolm looked at Princess Skystar.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

What? What's wrong?

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

It's just um... We've been turned to stone for a thousand years, and the Storm Queen has taken over Equestria, including my home.

Charlie understood Princess Skystar.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

She's right. It's too dangerous to go to Mount Aris.

Captain Celaeno looked confused.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Wait a minute. Did she say, the Storm Queen?

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Yes, she did, Celaeno. While you and the others were searching for your ship, Celestia and Luna told me that the Storm King has a body and voice of a female, but his spirit remains the same.

Capper and Grubber looked surprised when they heard Tempest Shadow's conversation.

CAPPER:

Wait. Who's is now a female?

TEMPEST SHADOW:

The Storm King. He's transformation started after he was defeated, then he turned us into stone, while we went to rescue Princess Skystar and he took over Equestria.

CAPPER:

So, that wasn't his wife?

Grubber looked scared.

GRUBBER:

That tall attractive storm creature we saw is the Storm King, who is now the Storm Queen?!

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Yes.

GRUBBER:

Oh, no. This can't be happening! This can't be happening! If she finds me, she'll torture me with cakes and pies! I mean I do like eating them, but the ones that the storm creatures made were full of worms and mud like she was punishing me and...

Grubber was hyperventilating.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Oh, no, he's hyperventilating!

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

I'll handle this.

Charlie hugged Grubber and stroke his head. Grubber looked calm and purred like a little kitten.

GRUBBER (Purred):

Purr. Purr.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

You're okay now?

GRUBBER:

Yeah. But when did you learn to calm me down?

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

I had a cat once. But that was a long-time ago.

CAPPER:

Okay, Grubber's now calm, but this Storm Queen thing sounds weird.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

So, if we can't go to Mount Aris, where can we go?

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Maretime Bay. That place is safe. But not for long because the Storm Queen knows that all ponies are united and the magic of friendship is back because of Sunny Starscout, who was an Earth pony and now an alicorn.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

He's right, Celaeno. Celestia and Luna told me about her. We have to go there before the Storm Queen does.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

All right, I'll go tell Mullet to change course.

A wind was blowing everyone on the airship.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

It getting very windy out here.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

Yeah, and it feels strong.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

I felt that wind before. Grubber, check it out.

Grubber looked at the right side of the hull and saw a huge tornado heading towards the airship. Grubber looked surprisingly scared.

GRUBBER (Yelling):

STORM TORNADO!!!!

Everyone on the airship looked surprised.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Storm tornado? It's the Storm Queen all right!

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Get us outta here, Mullet!

FIRST MATE MULLET:

Aye, Captain!

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Squabble, Boyle! Secure all sails!

BOYLE:

You got it, Captain! Come on, Squabble!

SQUABBLE:

Squark!

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Lix, get Charlie, his dad and the princess inside now!

LIX SPITTLE:

Okay, Captain. Inside everyone!

After Squabble and Boyle secured the sails, the airship was caught in the middle of the storm tornado. Grubber panicked.

GRUBBER:

We're too late! She's got us!

TEMPEST SHADOW:

No, it's not! We got past it before!

When, Malcolm and Princess Skystar went inside of the airship, Charlie was about to join them, until the strong wind pulled him away. Princess Skystar grabbed Charlie's hand and Malcolm grabbed Princess Skystar by her hooves.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

Charlie, hold on!

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Hurry, pull me in!

Malcolm and Princess Skystar tried to pull Charlie inside, but the wind from the storm tornado was too powerful.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

The wind is too strong!

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

Please, Charlie, don't let go!

Charlie looked at Princess Skystar's eyes, sadly, realizing it might be too late for him.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

I'm sorry, Skystar.

Charlie let go of Princess Skystar's claw and he disappeared in the storm tornado. Princess Skystar and Malcolm looked shocked.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Shouting):

No, Charlie! NOOOO!!!!

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN: (Shouting):

CHARLIE BOYYYY!!!!

A big bright light appeared at the airship, then it got brighter and brighter until it exploded like a star, which made the storm tornado vanish and everyone on the airship was saved. Grubber looked relieved.

GRUBBER:

Hey, it's gone. We're safe!

Tempest Shadow looked sad.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Not everyone, Grubber. Look.

Grubber and Tempest Shadow looked at Princess Skystar crying softly on Malcolm's shoulder, while he was comforting her.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Crying softly):

Why did Charlie have to let go. We were going to do everything together.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN (Sadly):

I know it hurts, Skystar. But I can't believe I've lost him. I haven't told him everything. Without my son, Equestria is doomed.

Malcolm heard an alarm from his smartphone. He took it out of his pocket and saw a Map of Equestria app on the screen.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

What the...

Malcolm pressed the new app on his phone, then the map of Equestria appeared with Charlie's face on it.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

Everybody, look!

Grubber, Tempest Shadow, Capper and Captain Celaeno gathered around Malcolm and Princess Skystar.

TEMPEST SHADOW:

What is it?

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

I mysteriously got a new app on my smartphone and it has a map of Equestria. Look who's on it.

Grubber, Tempest Shadow, Capper, Captain Celaeno and Princess Skystar saw Charlie's face on the map from Malcolm's smartphone. Everyone looked surprised.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

It's Charlie!

GRUBBER:

How did he get in that weird small book?

TEMPEST SHADOW:

It's not a weird book, Grubber and he's not in it. But it said that Charlie is all right and he's somewhere in Maretime Bay.

Capper looked confused.

CAPPER:

Maretime Bay?

Princess Skystar gasped.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR (Gasping):

Of course! That light!

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

What light?

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

The light that stopped the storm tornado. It must've saved Charlie and took him there.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

How do you know about this light?

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

Because I've seen it before I was kidnapped by the Storm Queen.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

If Malcolm's smartphone said that Charlie is okay in Maretime Bay...

TEMPEST SHADOW:

Then that means Skystar might be right about this light.

Captain Celaeno gave First Mate Mullet an order.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Mullet, change course immediately to Maretime Bay.

First Mate Mullet looked confused.

FIRST MATE MULLET:

Captain?

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Do I have to repeat it, Mullet?

FIRST MATE MULLET:

No, Captain. Changing course to Maretime Bay.

Captain Celaeno gave orders to her friends and her crew.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Capper, you and Boyle check on our weapons and booty.

CAPPER:

Straight away, Captain.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Lix, show our guests to their rooms. They need a good rest.

LIX SPITTLE:

Aye, aye, Captain.

Princess Skystar looked confused.

PRINCESS SKYSTAR:

What? Why we need to rest?

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Princess, we can't get the ship to full speed again because we'll waste at lot of fuel. It has to go ¼ speed. So, we won't get to Maretime Bay until morning.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

That's okay, Captain. My son knows how to wait, if he's okay.

CAPTAIN CELAENO:

Don't worry, Mr. Equestrian. We'll find him. Now get some rest. Both of you.

When Princess Skystar went inside of the airship, Malcolm was looking up at the clouds, worrying about Charlie.

MALCOLM EQUESTRIAN:

Charlie boy, please be okay.

Malcolm went inside of the airship.

Location: Maretime Bay

Area: The Beach

Hitch Trailblazer was looking at the moon and stars in the night sky.

HITCH TRAILBLAZER:

Wow, the moon looks great, and the stars too. Well, everypony in Maretime Bay are okay since Sunny brought the magic of friendship back and we had a lot of adventures.

Hitch Trailblazer looked surprised saw a bright light appeared in front of him.

HITCH TRAILBLAZER:

What is that?

The bright light made Charlie magically appear on the beach and it vanished.

HITCH TRAILBLAZER:

Wait, come back!

After the bright light disappeared, Hitch Trailblazer walked slowly to Charlie who's lying on the beach, unconscious.

HITCH TRAILBLAZER:

What kind of creature is that? Let's hope it's not dead.

Hitch Trailblazer tried to wake Charlie up by gently pushed him with his hoof.

HITCH TRAILBLAZER:

Hello? Are you okay, sir? Ma'am?

Hitch Trailblazer looked surprised and relieved when he saw Charlie struggling slowly and groaning.

HITCH TRAILBLAZER:

Oh, it's a sir, and he's alive.

Hitch Trailblazer called out to Sunny Starscout.

HITCH TRAILBLAZER:

Sunny! I found a strange creature at the beach! He's unconscious, but he's breathing. Help me get him to your house.

Location: Crystal Bright House

Area: Sunny Starscout's Bedroom

Charlie was in bed sleeping, until he woke up slowly without opening his eyes.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Mum? It's that you, mum?

Sunny Starscout placed a wet flannel on Charlie's head and calmed him down gently.

SUNNY STARSCOUT:

Just relax. You'll be okay. You've been asleep since last night.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

I had a horrible nightmare. I dreamed we had an argument and you were about to put me in a care home. Then I was caught by a storm tornado. It was terrible.

SUNNY STARSCOUT:

Well, you don't have to worry. You're completely safe in my house at Maretime Bay.

Charlie smiled.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Maretime Bay. That's sounds familiar.

Charlie looked shocked after he opened his eyes.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Maretime Bay?!

Sunny Starscout opened the curtains to let the sun out and Charlie got up and looked surprised when he saw her as an alicorn. Charlie panicked a little bit and calmed himself down.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Sunny? Sunny Starscout?

SUNNY STARSCOUT:

Yes, that's me. How'd you know my name?

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Well, it's difficult to explain, but your so... your so... pretty.

Sunny Starscout chuckled.

SUNNY STARSCOUT:

It's my wings, isn't it? Everypony said they're pretty.

Charlie looked around the room.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Where's my smartphone?

Sunny Starscout showed Charlie where his smartphone was.

SUNNY STARSCOUT:

Over there, next to my alarm clock. I've never seen a creature like you, Charlie boy.

Charlie looked confused after he picked up his smartphone.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

Why did you call me Charlie boy?

SUNNY STARSCOUT:

That's your name. Isn't it? It's written on your shirt.

CHARLIE CARVETTE EQUESTRIAN:

That's what my dad calls me. My actual name is Charlie Carvette Equestrian.

SUNNY STARSCOUT:

Nice to meet you, Charlie.
