A gift to remember

After coming back from the hike, we rested for a day at home. Little Moon spent that day on making some food that can be kept in the fridge for a few days. Kevin helped her with the grocery shopping and the cutting of vegetables and others stuff. While I spent time photographing them being silly and nit-picking each other when things go as Little Moon wants.

"Guys, do you have any idea when the lunch will be prepared, or do I need to order something?" I asked them while they were arguing about the amount of sugar they need to add.

"You do whatever you want," said Little Moon.

"I think you should order, sir. As this work is not going to end soon," said Kevin while getting a smack from a spoon.

"Ok then I'll order some Chinese for lunch."

The cooking session went on for a few more hours. Till I got a call from the Headquarters asking us to join them for dinner at the office.

"Kevin, did you know about the dinner at the office tonight?"I asked him.

"Hmm.... no I didn't no. What time do you need to be there, sir"

"They want us to be there at around six."

"Do we really have to go?" asked Little Moon.

"Yes, it's a special dinner arranged just for the two of us."

We both got ready and went to the office by six. They had the whole place decorated, with balloons and glitters saying congratulations on our upcoming marriage and to celebrate the happy ending of the first drama produced.

"We are so happy to have you both here to celebrate two very special events in our company." said the art director.

"Thank you for this kind gesture," I said in appreciation for their effort to celebrate.

"Juniors why don't you bring the surprise, number one," said the art director while I and Little Moon looked at each other when he said number one. That meant there are more surprises to come.

"Oh my!! what a beautiful cake" said Little Moon when the juniors bought a cake with double celebration written on top.

The cake was topped with a 3d modeled couple sitting on the edge of the cake. I have to say that the topper looked like us.

"Please do the honors, Miss" they said to Little Moon.

"Do you really want me to cut this cute cake? " she asked.

And after everyone agreed she cut the cake to find out a generously filled gateaux cake hidden inside.

The dinner was a merry event while everyone was chatting happily and enjoying their time. I was happy to see Little Moon interacting with others without any issues but she never let my hand go. She made some new friends and they respected her and encouraged her as she started to let down her guard on hiding herself.

We all talked about the future projects and the most surprising revelation was that they liked to do more dramas. And about starting a talent agency, they all wanted this to be something more than just another company but a place where even the less talented can be trained to become better.

After dinner, they had arranged a little show for us and a karaoke night. Some of the departments had created mini-dramas and comedy-dramas to entertain us. I have to say that I have never laughed so hard in recent times. They were hilarious.

"I think you should elaborate on the drama that you showed now," said Little Moon after watching one comedy.

"Can you explain, Miss"

"I think this story is unique and if you can make it a bit more ... how can I say.... hmmm... strong in the plot this could be a hit."

"You meant o create an actual mini-drama?"

"Either that or do a 2D cartoon-like thing." She said.

While everyone was listening Little Moon looked out for the animation department crowd.

"Guy's what do you think of my idea?" asked Little Moon.

"Yes we can create a 2d animation and we will be happy to give it a try," they said.

"With this, you can post them on the company youtube and you will help the company to grow as well as your own talent will be recognized more."

She looked at me with a serious face,

"Geo, I want our talent agency to not only have actors and singers but writers, animators, and storytellers"

The section heads who were seated near us heard what she said. They all looked d at her as if she had said something out of line. But.

"Thank you for your suggestion Miss. I think you are the first who thought of them to join a talent agency to enhance their skill and win the world."

The others seem to be discussing this among them.

After few minutes they all said they agree with what she said and they are always ready to open arms to help us achieve this goal.

It was near midnight when the party was almost over and we all were getting ready to leave. Surprising me and Little Moon, everyone gathered around us and cheered us. While the Assistant Director to Mr.D came around from nowhere with two gifts.

The gift was two DUOFOLD PRESTIGE BLUE CHEVRON FOUNTAIN PEN for me and Little Moon. What he said while giving the gifts touched us,

"Hope these two pens can help you write a happy loving long-lived life story."

We went speechless but we thanked him silently while handshaking. I think this is the most prestigious gift I have got in my life. I looked at Little Moon, there were tears in her eyes, while she admired the pen and said a little Thank you.

We got home at around two am. She had fallen asleep so without disturbing her, I carried her into the bedroom. Lying beside her I started to think about today, and how she adjusted her fear of crowds to go away and respect the others. She is really a girl with courage, who can conquer any obstacle in her way if she thinks it's worthful.
