Ch 100 - Enemy Hideout

Mereoleona then took a deep breath and yelled, "I think you all know this, but we have no use for anything other than victory! The Eye of the Midnight Sun is a terrorist organization that threatens the Clover Kingdom!"

"If we don't take care of them ourselves, there will never be peace in our land! You all worked hard together when they attacked the royal capital and were successful in eliminating them, but there were still severe consequences. My foolish brother Fuegoleom fell at the enemy's hands, and he has still not awakened. We learned from the agents we captured that their leader is a mage with a four-leaf clover grimoire, Licht. We learned that they have an upper echelon called the Third Eye and for some unknown reasons they are collecting magic stones to be reborn in their true forms and obtain great power."

Mereoleona stared at everyone and continued. "We are going to be attacking their stronghold before they complete their plans. So assume that our enemy will do everything they can to stop us. Some of us may fall. But we will be victorious! We are going to give our all in this battle! I will take out any fool that fails to do so before we even get to the enemy's stronghold!"

"Are you ready?!" Mereoleona asked loudly.

"YES!!!"

Everyone yelled in unison as they prepared to set out.

They used Cobb's spatial magic to go to their destination...

Currently in a strong magic region Gravito Rock Zone, Alex, and the rest of the Royal Knights Led by Mereoleona, were gathered.

"That's the Eye of the Midnight's Sun's hideout."

"Well, there aren't many who would set foot in the strong magic regions. And since it's hidden by this magical fog, it's even harder to spot. Anyone would have difficulty finding it."

Mereoleona said and she glanced at Nozel with an amused smile on her face.

"You figured all that out, and that's why you had people search this area. You've gotten better, captain of the Silver Eagles."

"I just happened to have people searching dungeons, and we coincidentally found out it was their hideout."

"Oh? So what brought the Captain of the Silver Eagles himself here, then?" Mereoleona asked with a knowing side glance.

"That's enough idle chatter. Siren I guess you can use your spell from this distance?" Nozel asked.

"Indeed," Siren replied as his grimoire started glowing and mana gathered around him.

Soon a stone medal resembling the flying castle appeared in front of them with its inner structure and the position with a high concentration of mana in it.

"I see. It's like an ants' nest that allows entry from anywhere. Seems simple enough to infiltrate. I see there are plenty of guys around the Senior Magic Knight level. There's also someone with very powerful magic in the middle. Must be their boss." Mereoleona muttered after observation in her typical way.

"Listen up you all!! If we want to ambush the enemy and throw them into a state of chaos, we can't let them know how many of us there are, so splitting up is the best option. But the fact that there are so many entrances means that the enemy is confident in their defense. The more we split up, the more that may work against us and overwhelm us." Mereoleona said.

"So where does that lead us?" Mereoleona asked the magic knights.

"We'll just have to overwhelm them with sheer strength. If we beat them all enough, they will instantly beg for mercy!" Alex chuckled.

"I wanna mash them all up!" Luck said excitedly.

"I shall defeat them beautifully on my own," Kirsch interjected.

"...All of them are idiots," Noelle muttered as she looked at the people who answered Mereoleona.

"What's important is balance. The most effective way to get through the enemy's defense while split up is to divide into teams of four. Is that what you're thinking?" Klaus reported his thoughts.

"But that's boring. They will be over in an instant if we go with that." Luck and Alex protested.

"Exactly. We will now split into groups and then proceed," Mereoleona grinned.

As the Royal Knights got divided into teams, Mereoleona asked Alex.

"What are you planning?"

Alex touched the sheath of his sword and smiled.

"I'll be going alone. I'm used to fighting with groups and others will only get in the way anyway."

"No. I will go with you!"

"No, it will be dangerous to go alone. At least take me with you!"

Simultaneously, two anxious voices sounded at the same time.

Turning their heads, Mereoleona and Alex saw Noelle and Mimosa walking over with quick steps.

Mereoleona chuckled at their reactions and thoughts.

'It seems my two little cousins also have not so simple relationship with my man... Is it perhaps both of them also... Master, Master, are you perhaps taking all the girls and women from the noble household into your harem? It is so... Amusing!'

Nozel who was giving instructions to his teammates paused in his tracks and glanced behind at Noelle in shock as he couldn't believe his little sister would say something like that. He looked at Alex's face and his face turned gloomy. He had never liked Alex in the first place and now watching his own sister showing affection to the young magic knight, Nozel was very displeased.

Alex on the other hand was amused by the girls' reaction and smiled. He tapped on their forehead with a playful smile and said.

"Stop causing trouble. I know you guys are worried but I will be fine. So be obedient and follow the command of the leader, okay?"

Even though reluctant, both Mimosa and Noelle nodded their heads and returned back to their teams.

Others looked at Alex with surprised expressions as he was really going inside the base of the enemy on his own. They had thought that he was just saying big things and when the time came, he would ask someone to go with him.

But his actions really startled everyone.

Alex looked at everyone and said to Mereoleona. "See you inside, lioness. Let's see who will reach the target the fastest!"

Mereoleona agreed with the competition with her usual beastly grin and ordered.

"Let's go and as for the plan... Plow your way through and use everything at your disposal. Go about it however you like! As long as you don't lose... I don't care what you do."
