An Instance in Time

For a moment he couldn't believe that he was lying in a pile of spilled food. He was about to sit up when he felt arms grab the edge of the wagon and pull it upright. As the other person pulled the wagon forward, the sound of water hitting the ground caught Lance's attention.

Looking up he saw a girl standing in front of them holding onto the wagon. She wore a blue swimsuit, which matched with her dark hair. Her face lit up as soon as she laid eyes on him. "Lance!! Are you okay?!" she asked in excitement. Lance grinned and nodded his head, waving at her.

"I'm great! Thanks so much. This stuff doesn't even weigh much!" he said as he reached up to rub the back of his neck sheepishly. The girl just giggled happily as she continued pulling the cart towards their hut.
