I ignored the voice, though it continued repeating.
[Voice] "Don't believe them."
"Wait, how come you opened the lock at this time? It isn't night yet."
"Where did you get that idea from? Well, you are right, the lock is visible at night and can only be opened at night, but there is an additional method," Jonah said.
"Which is?"
"Well, you can also open a moon lock when the owners truly want to use the lock," Amelie replied.
"Oh, is that so?"
"Yes, we noticed you were reading. Didn't you see that there?"
Hmm, they know everything well.
"We understand, you miss your friend and would do anything to get her," Amelie said.
"Well, yes. Sorry still for not trusting you."
[Voice] "Look around."
"I am feeling well now, let's just go up."
[Amelie] "You haven't taken your—"
"No need, I am fine, serious."
[Voice] "Look around."
"Okay, if you say so," replied Jonah.
We started going up.
[Voice] "Look."
I ignored the voice again as we started climbing, I was above them.
[Voice] "Look."
[Voice] "Look."
[Voice] "Look."
[Voice] "LOOK!"
I got fed up.
"Jeez!!"
For a second, I could swear I saw that place glitch, and when it did, it was a different place.
Amelie: "Would you keep us hanging, Anon?"
"Oh, sorry."
I quickly moved up, and they closed the place up.
"Can I go to my room to rest a bit?"
"Yes, you can go," Jonah responded.
I rapidly raced to my room, shut the door, and started looking for that book of magical locks. Oh, it's under my bed. I took it from there and opened it.
I noticed a mistake I made—I didn't turn the page over, and when I did, I saw it continued.
[BOOK] "Moreover, stay mindful that if you are the creator or owner of the lock, you can be granted access to it when you truly need it, whether there is a moon present or not."
"Oh, that proves it."
[BOOK] "Moon Rune Gem Lock."
I didn't see this before. Let me check it out.
[BOOK] "This is a lock that sounds very similar to the Moon Gem Lock, but they are very different. This is a combination of both gem lock and cosmic lock. This is a lock that doesn't go in line with and does not obey the laws of space. This is a lock for secretive things and holds any amount of rooms depending on the number of locks you put, with the first two keys opening the way to the normal room and the additional and most special key revealing the secretive room."
How to Make a Moon Rune Gem Lock
"Wow, this is a lot of knowledge, but this also means I have been wrong all this time, and I've been reading the wrong thing. I already know how to open the lock, no need to read more. But Amelie and Jonah, am I to trust them again?"
I have to check that lock again.
I rushed downstairs to where Amelie and Jonah were. I had no choice but to ask them for the gems again, and I prayed they'd give them to me.
"Oh, Anon, have you rested already?" Amelie asked.
"Yes, I have rested well, but…"
"What's the problem, Anon?" she asked.
"It's just that... I want to check out... the room again."
"Oh, you could have just said that. We can give you the gems, but don't scatter anything," Jonah accepted.
I collected them from them. "Thank you for allowing me to explore."
"It is nothing, we are like family now," they said. We are like family... maybe when I find the last rune gem, we will know for sure.
I quickly opened up the trap room by putting in the gemstones and saying the word "Lumos." It opened up, and I went down and started exploring the place—from the plants to the setting of everything, everything was looking fine, but I was sure I saw something there. I checked out the tables, which had some plants on both the top and bottom, but still, there was nothing.
"Stupid voice, if you are here just tell me something," I muttered.
"The time I need you, you wouldn't come, but when I don't want you, you appear," I spoke out.
"What kind of creature are you? I don't know, but one thing I do know is, you are a pathetic one—from keeping me hungry to making Amelie and Jonah think I'm mad," I expressed.
"You are not helping at all," I proclaimed.
"Shoe yours..."
For a slight moment, I saw it glitch similarly, and I could see a little difference on the wall. For a slight moment, the wooden wall wasn't wooden anymore. This time, it was made of, I think, granite, and the whole atmosphere changed completely. I could swear the room looked bigger.
I rushed to the wall that changed, but it didn't glitch anymore. I immediately ran up to grab the book of locks.
"What is wrong, Anon?" Amelie asked.
"It's nothing."
"Then why are you running?" Jonah inquired.
"Oh, I just want to grab my notes and jot down some things I find interesting."
"Oh, okay."
I ran up, grabbed what I needed, and went back down to the trapdoor room. I opened the book to read more—maybe I missed something very important.
[BOOK] "Also note that if all keys are far away from each other, the rooms start acting up and mixing with each other, which can also trap an object in the wrong room. Or the worst-case scenario: when two—"
"OUCH!" I glanced down to see my leg was pierced by broken glass.
"How did... Ouch!" I plucked the glass from my flesh, and in the midst of everything, everywhere glitched again. The glass vanished right in front of my eyes.
[BOOK] "Or the worst-case scenario: when not accustomed to their locations, stand at the same point and position in separate rooms, and things mix up again. A glitch can happen in which one of the objects gets stuck in the other space, thereby causing the destruction of the other object that stands in the space in the other room."
"Okay, that explains it, but who leaves broken glass on the ground?"
"Now I'm sure Amelie and Jonah are hiding something here, because if they weren't, they would have told me about this... Ouch, my leg hurts."
"If they're hiding it, it wouldn't be right to confront them. I should just check around for now. I'll clean up this blood so they don't see this damage done to my leg."
Maybe I'm not one to put much thought into things, with my IQ being below average, but I missed and ignored the crucial part of the glitch.
